A tag has been placed on your user page, User:A2Q2/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ramaksoud2000 (Talk to me) 07:27, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:37, 15 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I was just using my company to mess around with learning how to write in wikipedia. I thought that the sandbox was a place to play around in and that it would not be published or seen. I had no intention of making that public. I am brand new to this and hope to be allowed to continue to contribute.

Decline reason:

New name is too close to the company name. Also, you appear to have copy and pasted the 'article' from the company site or company literature. That isn't allowed as the text is copyright to the company, but Wikipedia is freely licensed under CC-BY-SA for reuse anywhere by anyone. If you are thinking of writing about the company, please read WP:CORP first, along with WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove the notability. WP:COI wouldn't go amiss too. The sandbox is a place to play around, but certain things are not allowed on Wikipedia anywhere. It's a bit hard to explain the rules to newcomers as we don't know what they are coming here to do, and landing the whole lot on someone would probably put them off for life... Peridon - Thank you for those helpful articles. Yes this whole 'Wikipedia world' is a little daunting at 1st. I hope to get the hang of it. I don't know if this is the correct code to say this in but can I change my username to me personally? EMlass81

I do want to publish a notable company page about A2Q2 because of its founding from a refugee, minority woman. I will keep to the regulations in the articles you gave me. I just would like to tell the history of how this all came to be (again, sorry for posting everything from the company website, I was just testing codes for headlines and content ect.) Maybe this should be posted under a person history and I'll write it not of A2Q2 but of our founder?

I appreciate your time and patience. I don't mean to break any rules and I know this is not a social media site (we already have facebook, twitter and linkedin for that). I will be more selective about what I post in the sandbox while learning.

Please sign talk page posts with ~~~~ - it tells us who said what and when. OK, I'll unblock you for a name change. Go to WP:CHU and scroll down to Simple, then do what it says. When you've got the change, create your draft at User:EMlass/DRAFT, and then ask for advice. I'll put you onto someone who is good at rescuing things. Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Kim Le

edit

Hello Emlass. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Kim Le".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Kim Le}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 12:02, 5 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
