Resolution

I've restored the image to the previous low-resolution scan - under the terms of the "fair-use" licence, only low resolution images are acceptable. Also it should only be used where necessary, e.g. for the article discussing the book. Unfortunatley this does not cover the article Mona Lisa. – Tivedshambo (talk) 16:52, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I wonder how you define how low low has to be. I like to think of it a lower than what would be needed to make a good paper print and about the size that you otherwise are able to find on the net. I thought that it was a shame that you couldn't see the Mona Ogg properly. Eldestone 22:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

The guidlines don't say, but I take it to mean the smallest resolution to be of any practical use. The idea being that if users want to see it in detail, they should buy the book, rather than Wikipedia gaining from the copyright of other people. – Tivedshambo (talk) 05:25, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
