  • re-uploaded several times after deletion. Invalid fair-use, false claims in (copy-and-pasted) fair use rationale ("historically significant photo", "the photo and its historical significance are the object of discussion in the article"). Fails NFCC 3 and 8. Fut.Perf. 10:25, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then please help in fixing the fair use rationale. Any fair minded person can see that the photo is relevant to the article. Assume good faith. The photo adds to the credibility of the article toward WP:BIO as evidence James Kim actually was a TV host. This was disputed in Dec 2006 in a speedy deletion debate over the entire article, and the photo was provided as support. Please provide valid reasons the photo itself does not belong, and help in rectifying the fair use text. Rugz 19:07, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need the image as evidence he was a TV host. You need reliable textual sources (media coverage) showing he was a TV host. I assume you have such sources now, right? Fut.Perf. 19:18, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete, no amount of tweaking the rationale can make this image relevant. The article does not address the significance of this particular screenshot, nor could it, because this particular screenshot has no significance. Photographs aren't used to establish verifiability; reliable sources are. —Angr 19:20, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree what that statement simply because the graphics at the bottom of the screen clearly state his name and title. Rugz 02:26, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep; screenshot is an example of the work he did on the TV show, screenshots are allowed on Wikipedia for what other purpose? Rugz 02:44, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • re-uploaded several times after deletion. Invalid fair-use, magazine cover that is not a primary object of discussion in the article (is just mentioned in a sentence in passing). False and nonsensical claims in (copy-and-pasted) fair use rationale ("historically significant photo ", "The image on the cover is significant because it was made by a famous TV host"). Fails NFCC 3 and 8. Fut.Perf. 10:25, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then please help in fixing the fair use rationale. Any fair minded person can see that the magazine cover is relevant to the article as James Kim is the primary focus of the cover. Assume good faith. The magazine cover demonstrates the media frenzy surrounding James Kim upon his death, the frenzy of which is mentioned several places in article, not just a passing reference. Please provide valid reasons the magazine cover does not belong, and help in rectifying the fair use text. Rugz 19:11, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete; no amount of tweaking the rationale will stop this image from violating WP:NFCC #8. Saying "He was on the cover of People magazine" is not sufficient critical commentary about the cover to warrant its inclusion. —Angr 19:23, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not for critical commentary, it is for providing facts. Rugz 02:42, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If it comes to that, Wikipedia is for providing free content, not images under someone else's copyright. Nonfree content is only allowed under very restricted circumstances, including that nonfree images have to support critical commentary. Please read WP:NFC. —Angr 19:49, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep; per above, excluding this cover from the article weakens the article's passage about the media frenzy surrounding his death. Rugz 02:40, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, it's mentioned in article. 64.111.46.44 00:57, 19 August 2007 (UTC)64.111.46.44 (talk) has made few or no other edits outside this topic. [reply]

  • Orphaned; absentee uploader. Also, despite the tag, I can't shake the suspicion the image was actually taken from a website rather than being created by the uploader. Something about the typewritten caption at the bottom and the pixelation that suggests it was increased in size from a thumbnail (so add "low quality" to my reasons for deletion). —Angr 14:50, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I think the drawing is much better to understand. The CGI screenshot is poor in contrast, camera angle and size. Would prefer to keep both, but feel the illustration is more honest, as associated directly with Pratchett's writing.--Knulclunk 01:37, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • We definitely don't need both. (For that matter, we don't really need either.) Delete one or the other of them, if not both. —Angr 19:55, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - if this image is kept, it needs to be reduced in resolution per WP:NFCC#3. A screenshot is actually better from this standpoint, as it is a smaller proportion of a copyrighted work (as opposed to 100% of an illustration). Videmus Omnia Talk 22:31, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Primary reason: there is already another non-free image visually identifying Mickey Mouse. Secondary reasons: no source information, no author information, no fair use rationale with purpose of use description. Ilse@ 14:58, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • The secondary reasons all qualify it for speedy deletion, so I've tagged it accordingly. —Angr 15:05, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
