Stat updates

edit

Good work with updating stats on footballers' infoboxes, but you need to update the field entitled "pcupdate". This needs to be updated as it gives the date of the update, so everyone knows the stats are actually up to date. To do this, type five tildes (~) into the "pcupdate" field in the infobox, and the date of the update will be given. Thanks, Kosack (talk) 00:28, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of 2007–08 Wiltshire Premier Shield

edit

I have nominated 2007–08 Wiltshire Premier Shield, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2007–08 Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Bettia (talk) 10:47, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

2008–09 Wiltshire Premier Shield has also been listed as part of this AfD. Bettia (talk) 10:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, 2004 Football League Trophy

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, 2004 Football League Trophy. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - 2004 Football League Trophy Final. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2004 Football League Trophy Final - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Stu.W UK (talk) 20:07, 19 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 2009-10 Wiltshire Premier Shield

edit

The article 2009-10 Wiltshire Premier Shield has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable season article only containing two semi-final matches

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, I'm Nzd. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Nzd (talk) 12:48, 6 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive edits suggest sabotage which was never the case - all my edits have been accurate and more often than not the edits I make can be sourced with links already supplied within the page.
This website is continually plagued by genuine vandalism yet I get blocked because a few people take offence to pages they like to update themselves (and that is fundamentally my observation because I accurately edit loads pages to zero feedback yet got jobsworth warnings on others - makes no sense).
I don't need to reply to that charge because the edits were accurate. EduardStreltsov (talk) 14:06, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
