Merry yellow

Hi, I was wondering, are you related to the account Merry yellow? Off2riorob (talk) 21:16, 1 December 2009 (UTC) Hello, No, no relation to M.Y.--Early morning person (talk) 22:25, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

FYI

Please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Anne Teedham thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 16:14, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for referring me to this page. I just got around to looking at it today, and noticed, to my surprise, that I had been accused of being a sockpuppet! I also noted that shortly after I was cleared of that accusation by administrator Alison.--Early morning person (talk) 03:08, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Here is the URL to the page stating that I have been cleared of the accusation of misconduct just mentioned: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Anne_Teedham/Archive

Request for Comment

Hi Early, thanks for responding to my Request For Comment post on the Chris Moneymaker article. You seem like a good editor who is balanced and knowledgeable. I think it is traditional that when you respond to an RfC that you ID your self on the talk page by beginning your comment with: "Reply to RfC" in bold. This let's people know how you go there. I can't seem to locate the link for this procedure, but I know I've seen it. You can see other editors did this for example at the bottom of this talk page thread:[1]. Anyway its not a a big deal, but just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know about this. Also, there are some follow up comments on the MoneyMaker talk page RfC and if you have any desire to follow up and respond to other editors comments, I encourage you to do so by clicking here: [2]. Thanks!--KbobTalk 01:53, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Merry Xmas to you

Very best wishes for xmas and for 2010.
I appreciate your comment on my talkpage, best regards. Off2riorob (talk) 12:57, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

Signing your name

Hi EMP, just a small formatting point I thought I'd mention. I see you have adopted our Wiki practice of using colons to stagger our comments on the talk pages. That's great. However, the signature should be placed immediately after the last word of your post instead of placing it on the next line with more colons in front of it. Sometimes when you do this it creates confusion about who said what because the signature is a line a way from the talk. I have corrected a few of your prior posts to avoid this confusion in formatting but hopefully now, you will adopt this more correct and less confusing format of placing your signature at the end of your last sentence like this.--KbobTalk 04:08, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

Incorrect way to sign your post.

Reception section

I was not happy with the previous Reception section because some of the content seemed too arbitrary and the useful content seemed to fit better worked into the Career section, such as the sales. I felt removing it was not controversial because Reception section are, in general, not included in biography pages. However, there is no strict rule prohibiting such sections, and the material you have gathered seems substantial and well sourced, enough to merit a separate section. Good work! Tolle

Hi, you appear to be a fan of Tolle and your additions imo reflect that, please try not to add promotional fluffy expressions, the best is to write in an uninvolved way, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 23:03, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

MMY

Please explain your edits to the MMY article. I've started a thread at talk:Maharishi Mahesh Yogi‎#Interaction with The Beatles.   Will Beback  talk  23:30, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for you response. BTW, it's hard to tell from your username whether you are a male or a female. Should I refer to you as "he" or "she"?   Will Beback  talk  22:28, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
My guess is that you're female, so I'll refer to you that way. Please let me know if I'm mistaken.   Will Beback  talk  21:57, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
OK, thanks for clarifying that. I've never come across "Early" as a first name before. ;)   Will Beback  talk  01:20, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Archive pages

I've undone your edits to an archived talk page. If you'd like to add material to an archived thread then the best solution would be to move that thread from the archive back to the talk page, unarchiving it, and then add your comment there. Or, start a new thread referencing the archived thread.   Will Beback  talk  22:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

FYI, I've unarchived the thread so now you can re-add your comment to it on the main talk page.   Will Beback  talk  00:44, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

I've left a comment and a request for more information at Talk:Transcendental Meditation technique#Cavaglion about the Cavaglion material you added.   Will Beback  talk  22:45, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

NPOV/NB and Fork

I'd be happy to dig up the refs that document a split of the research content. I've been watching the NPOV discussion and was surprised by the question given the extent of the research as documented in the article and the article's length. However, I'd be happy to try and help with the concern and question on the issue.(olive (talk) 16:49, 24 August 2011 (UTC))

Transcendental Meditation

Hi Early Morn, Thanks for your participation over at the TM article! I don't know if you had noticed.... but the area of the lead where you have made recent changes is currently under discussion here. It would be helpful if you could join the discussion and help us reach consensus before making any more changes or additions to that specific section. Thanks again. Peace out!--KeithbobTalk 19:42, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

A minor point

You reached out to someone and indicated that your Wikipedia user name was "EMP"

That person checked with the Wikimedia Foundation to see if you were legitimate. I did assure them that you are legitimate, but I was thrown off momentarily when looking for user:EMP, which doesn't exist.

I think it is good practice to include a Wikipedia user name in correspondence, in fact, while I've done so on occasion, I think I will make it a more regular practice. In addition to my user name, I think I will include a link to my talk page, which will help them if they are willing to communicate there, and will help in case they are wondering if I am legitimate. I urge you to use the full name, so it will be easier to find. Thanks.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 15:11, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Cite book is excellent as a reference template if you reference books a lot. I tend to use the more general citation instead because I like using the same template for all my references, but I think I'm in a minority. In fact you don't need to use any of the citation templates to get the ISBNs to link, just write "ISBN [number]" (eg ISBN 978 0 300 17043 6) and the software does it automatically.

I don't think there's a way of setting which site readers in general get directed to when giving ISBNs; these sorts of special pages usually aim to provide users with as wide a choice as possible. Personally, I find WorldCat the most reliable catalogue, but others might prefer other sites, especially for specialist topics. The links to Google Books can also be very useful for looking to see whether there's any online text available. Happy editing! Espresso Addict (talk) 23:46, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

Transcendental Meditation sources

Hi EMP, I've been fleshing out the chart that Zad68 created to review the sources in the article. I notice that you made a request that Zad68 also include in his review some additional sources that were removed, under protest, in March. To facilitate your request I've created a separate table on the talk page so that you could add the sources in question and give any comments you may have about the sources reliability per WP guidelines. I think these tables will be helpful to new editors who come to the page and want to get an overview of what kind of sources are being used in the article. Would you mind filling in the second chart with the deleted sources that you feel should be included in a full review? Or do you have another idea? I'm open to other thoughts on this. Thanks for you input and assistance, --KeithbobTalk 21:16, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Fair enough request. OK, since Zad has other priorities, I'll work on it. A bit busy in my RL, but I think I can get to it sometime this week. EMP (talk 21:33, 26 May 2013 (UTC)
