Nice article. I've made a handful of formatting and other changes, you may want to look at the few "wikilinks" I added at the start, such as to the two counties, and make more links like that to integrate your article in with the rest of the article. Thanks! --j⚛e deckertalk 04:57, 16 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

DYK nomination of HOP Ranch

edit

Hello! Your submission of HOP Ranch at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 00:05, 19 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you have access to the book, it would not hurt to quote in the efn format the statement regarding the Ming Dynasty glaze. There is a perceived problem, and the exact text would help on the DYK. I am just trying to break an interminable logjam. I would not mind being given credit as a cocreator, if you feel the urge. good luck and best regards. 7&6=thirteen () 19:18, 21 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
No it is not bad form to request a review. I just put a request on User:7&6=thirteen's talk page, and if he doesn't answer soon, I'll try another regular DYK reviewer. However, please be aware that due to recent changes and bad feeling in the DYK community, many reviewers are not reviewing anymore and the nominations really are sitting a long time. There are presently 359 nominations with only 23 approved. Your help is needed to help work through the backlog! Best, Yoninah (talk) 18:46, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
  •   Came back after there was some questions that arose after an initial review. New enough, more than long enough. QPQ is confirmed. Clearly notable on this article, which has an interesting connection to Detroit and Pewabic Pottery. But I digress. Well referenced and supported by more than ample source. My plagiarism checker is not functioning, so I could not check for copyvio or close paraphrasing. Latest hook and article are neutral, and interesting and referenced. Assuming that the interaction with the native Americans is interesting enough, I thought the supply of field glasses and rifles was itself illuminating. I would appreciate it if somebody would check for copy vios, although I thin there are none. But I don't want this to bite me in the ass. 7&6=thirteen () 18:53, 29 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Patrick Burris

edit

On 18 August 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Patrick Burris, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the judoka Patrick Burris won his place on the 1972 U.S. Olympic team by being the first person ever to throw previous national champion, Paul Maruyama? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Patrick Burris. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Patrick Burris), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
