Regions of Ukraine edit

Hi Derianus. I don't understand why you're redirecting Regions of Ukraine to Oblasts of Ukraine. The Administrative divisions of Ukraine article covers the Oblasts, plus the autonomous republic and the two cities with special status. Could you explain your reasoning for changing the redirect? Howicus (Did I mess up?) 02:07, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Because "region" is the English word for the oblasts. See Talk:Oblasts of Ukraine#Requested move. Compare

That makes sense to me. Thanks for explaining. Howicus (Did I mess up?) 02:19, 20 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Economic region edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Economic region requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. October 2014 - 1 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Grodno Region, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. October 2014 - 2 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Raion. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges.
You have already had consensus, WP:BRD and other Wikipedia policies explained to you exhaustively. Your activities have now become plain tendentious editing. Either initiate discussion on corresponding talk pages and wait for discussion or you will end up being blocked. I understand that you motivation may be good faith, but you methodology is that of edit warring. Remember that the 3 reverts in a 24 hour period is a bright line rule only. Slow edit wars, such as the ones you've been engaging in, are, nevertheless, deemed to be edit wars.

ANI notification edit

The scale of your disruption became too large, so that I had to open an ANI thread about you: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Derianus.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:07, 31 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

For your continued disruption (not the move review, that's fine), I'm imposing a topic ban for six months against all articles involving Eastern Europe, broadly construed. You remain free to communicate at Wikipedia:Move_review#Oblasts_of_Ukraine. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 22:13, 31 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's been a while since I've seen you around, Tobias, though from the looks of the case page it seems you've been quite busy. You know perfectly well how to appeal your ban, and I implore you to do so instead of continuing to sock and have all of your edits reverted as a result.
