Help has been accepted. A few more users can help me I think. The question for the help section: Minor spelling corrections and proper grammar when I finish newly created articles. I respond to that and sometimes I will check and correct small portions of my created articles. Thanks for that reminder. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 18:52, 20 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Location of STP clubs? edit

I see you have added the locations and playing fields of the football clubs of São Tomé and Príncipe. What is your source for that, I would like to add the information to the dutch Wikipedia as well, but I can't do that without a reliable third party source. - FakirNL (talk) 12:30, 7 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

That one was partly okay, some more information including a couple of score highlights has been added. I know I cannot do that without a reliable third party source. Locations and fields of Sao Tomean football clubs on the Dutch Wikipedia has already been written. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 14:24, 7 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Uncreated articles edit

Please do not create articles using the name Wikipedia:Uncreated article/foo (where foo is the name of the article). They are very unlikely to be seen or reviewed by anyone. Better is to either create them in you own use area, for example User:Da Desirer 2/foo or at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. NtheP (talk) 14:38, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I've moved all those articles to Articles for creation. None of the names have changed and you will find them in your Special:Contributions list. When you are ready to have them reviewed add {{subst|submit}} to the top of the page. NtheP (talk) 14:59, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

I respond. The Articles for creation, it is. I remember this but I didn't know where to put it. I will put it at Articles for creation section so other experienced users can correct and spellcheck articles, thanks. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 15:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

At the articles for creation's discussion page, I got it, I will make and write articles on that section (e.g. "Wikipedia talk/Articles for creation/foo (name of the article)", thanks. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 15:36, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Greetings from League Octopus edit

I am pleased to see that you are undertaking a lot of work on Portuguese football. You will notice that all of the pages that I have prepared are properly sourced and am bound to remind you that any unsourced work can be deleted. If you copy work over from French or Portuguese Wikipedia you will still need to identify the source of the material - this should be the actual source and not a reference to French or Portuguese Wikipedia. In the "League and cup history" section do not forget to include details of the cup history. See S.C. Beira-Mar to see how the Cup and Notes columns are added (suggest ignore Europe!).

If we use SC Mirandela as an example I suggest we use ForaDeJogo to get the team players. If you click on História in the left hand column you can get some very detailed listings for your League and cup history tables.

If you then click on the drop-down box Campeonato and click on Taça de Portugal you get the cup history for your table.

If you click on Estatistica de Jogadores in the left hand column you can even see the players nationalities!

You can follow the same process for any team. My apologies if you are already familiar with this information source

Another good source is ZeroZero but it is not so comprehensive as ForaDeJogo. Click on the links in the right hand column for more info.

I am not sure if you have started any articles from scratch but we badly need to increase our coverage of Terceira Divisão clubs if you can assist.

Please do come back to me if you need further advice/assistance. Cheers. League Octopus (League Octopus 08:24, 15 October 2012 (UTC))Reply

Yes, the Wikipedia soccer articles that I do is not only from Greece and Portugal it is parts of the world (with correct spelling and grammar).

Largely referenced is what they are. Statistics, those from 1992-95, borrowed from the Second, Third Division articles in the listings section, more statistic listings to come from the Portuguese Second (Tier 3) and Third Division articles, listings section from Wikipedia, written and with a bot.

In the League and Cup history section, where it has no information about the cup written, the title is "League history".

The available statistics translated from the English Wikipedia into the French and the Portuguese Wikipedias (then unavailable there) are kept and referenced, some of them via Second (Tier 3) and Third Division articles on Wikipedia.

I will come back for further advice incase. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 18:33, 15 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • After seeing what i saw in Gondomar SC, please: the lists of FAMOUS PLAYERS are not what we want to put there, throwing players that are of no interest (one season, some ten games), the criteria is INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS and/or those with more than 100 OFFICIAL GAMES. OK?

Happy editing, from Portugal - --AL (talk) 00:06, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah, I follow that, the list section is only that, though partly neutral (especially a few games and more than one or three other teams), uncertainly one from the French translation are not. Thanks. Da Desirer 2 (talk) 00:57, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Limonium jovibara edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Limonium jovibara requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. 155blue (talk) 15:46, 8 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

As reviewing administrator, I have declined this speedy deletion nomination, but two points about the article:
  • I think the name is wrong. I find no references in Google Scholar to Limonium jovibara but many to Limonium jovibarba with a second "b". That would have a meaning, too - "bearded like Jove". See also The Plant List, which does not have "jovibara"; and an article fr:Limonium jovibarba on the French Wikipedia. That seems to me conclusive, and I will move the article to Limonium jovibarba.
  • Please be careful about using edit summaries like "12 communities are to be created on a planet on the other side of the Milky Way, farms will be created there." Wikipedia suffers greatly from hoaxers, and it is unwise to make joke edits that may make people suppose that you are one.
