Couple of things...

Welcome to Wikipedia! I'd like to compliment you on the way in which you've started on Wikipedia... You got a response on the awards page, but to make a little clearer. Generally the small things get the type of things on Wikithanks, Large thank yous get Barnstars. And I agree, Dynamic range compression has some pretty ugly pictures. :) As something you may run into that most users won't There is a page called MediaWiki:Bad image list (yes the name isn't the best) that are images which can *only* be used on specific pages to prevent page vandals using them. For example, there is an image of Anal Fisting, that can only be used on the page specifically about that topic.
