Proposed deletion of Salvador Ruiz

Hello and welcome! I edit Wikipedia too, under the username Mentoz86. Wikipedia is written by people like you and me, so thank you for taking the time to participate. I want to let you know that there some notability guidelines for footballers, which you should be aware of before creating any new articles. Footballers must have played in a match in a fully professional league, a cup match between two fully professional teams or a senior international match. The completed list of what is considered a fully professional league can be found here. Krisztián Adorján and Soma Novothny does not meet these criteria, and will be proposed for deletion. They are promising footballers, but are not eligible for an own article yet. If you think I am mistaking, or if you have any questions about editing, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hi there CREED, VASCO from Portugal,

i know that you must be upset about Valencia's loss, but what you wrote about the player was very hard, almost insulting. Yes, he had an HORRIBLE game against Getafe, but you must remember (if you don't i do) how solid he was at UD Almería, that was in La Liga not in Segunda División, or not?

Attentively / Saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 20:20, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Ni una palabra de contestación? OK, estaremos al acecho... --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:41, 1 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
OK? --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:12, 7 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Saludos - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:17, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

--Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:37, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
Gracias - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 19:01, 26 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
"Muchas gracias" con lo de Pellegrino, muy "amable". Y otra que ya esta pasando de castaño oscuro, Jonathan Viera y Andrés Guardado, la temporada de Segunda División NO HA TERMINADO (queda una ronda), aún no pongas VALENCIA CF como club actual!! --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:18, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
--Vasco Amaral (talk) 16:02, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speak english please;)

  • Since you have "HOLA MI NOMBRE ES CREED" in your userpage, i though your first language was Spanish. Is it not? --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:35, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's true, but to tell you the truth, my english is better than my spanish. I understand a bit, what you have written to me. 1. Why is it wrong to make a new "paragraph" to Mauricio Pellegrino? It's his first club that he is managing.

  • OK, thanks. About Pellegrino, i think the sentences should be glued because it's only a line that separates the sentences, it looks rather poor the way you present if you don't mind. About Viera and Guardado, as i said it, they will still play once with LAS PALMAS and DEPORTIVO, but since i don't want any (more) edit wars, i've left it your way to show i want us to get along.

Cheers! --Vasco Amaral (talk) 18:26, 28 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Miguel Ángel Moyá (and others?)

edit

Please, when you edit something, don't alter the PC update as you did in this player's article, the PC update is not the date OF YOUR EDIT, it's the date of the LAST LEAGUE GAME OK (in Moyá's case, 13 May 2012, not 6 June 2012)?

Happy weekend - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:05, 16 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

very very very big problem Vasco...i think you have too much time..;) happy weekend FORZA ITALIA and PORTUGAL!;)

  • No, not a big problem at all (but it confuses people that might think the player is still playing in JULY, AUGUST, etc), but no need for that reply i think. Happy week too. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 17:23, 17 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

hmm.. you are so thorough/deep.. ;) it's a positive attribution;)

  • "Thanks" for following up on my lead on Sergio Canales (the season ended on 11 June 2012?). You can mock me all you want ("you are so deep"), but at least i try to edit things right. I won't bother you again, rest assured, because: 1 - it's not a big mistake after all, only a date; 2 - i don't want to receive that type of feedback (the "deep" stuff and "very very very big problem") again.

Happy one, "see" you --Vasco Amaral (talk) 14:48, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Also, i have just been told by an administrator it's really not much of a big deal, as long as the date is updated on matchdays. Clearly i exaggerated, i apologize, even though i don't think i deserved your sarcastic replies. End of discussion, happy editing. --Vasco Amaral (talk) 15:20, 27 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • FC Barcelona was Jordi Alba's former club (amongst many but it was - OK i have changed that line to better please you). Could you please stop or continue mocking me and say it's a "very very big problem"? I hope the former because i have always been polite to you, thank you. --AL (talk) 21:42, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Problem (big or small) solved, it stays your way. --AL (talk) 23:31, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

??? what problem?

  • I removed "former club" in the storyline, as you removed it everytime i added it, that shows i can reach a compromise. Regarding another Valencia CF player, don't know where you got your totals, but David Albelda has 333 La Liga games not 355: so far in his career he has 402, 333 for Valencia + 69 for Villarreal CF = 402. Please check the link#1 (BDFUTBOL.com) to see if i'm lying.

Thanks, happy weekend and sorry for any incovenience - --AL (talk) 21:04, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I reverted your changes about Dídac transfer to Valencia, as we need to wait for an official announcement by at least one of the clubs. Even if news reports say the clubs have already come to an agreement, the deal may still not go through (for exemple, if the player does not pass the physical exams). • Another piece of information (i am afraid you will not answer, all you do is make fun of me when i have not been aggressive or "bad" to you, i see you had no problem talking with Luxic in the message above), about Carles Gil: you created the article (again) against WP rules, because the player has only played in Segunda División B until now, we are not 100% sure if he will appear with Elche CF this season. Also, if the player has not yet made his debuts with SPAIN U19 (or any other international team), please wait until he makes his first appearance then we add it to box OK?

Thanks. --AL (talk) 14:05, 9 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry pal, i didn't want to be arrogant with you. I am just new at Wiki, i don't know it's "orders". Ok, i see, he haven't have any segunda div, or la liga.

José Luis Gayá

edit

See Creed i told you, this player has not played yet in more than Segunda División B, just because he appeared in the Copa del Rey does not matter, the player is not yet a professional and the opposition in that match is also amateur (UE Llagostera).

I tried to improve the article with refs, but don't be surprised if it is deleted one of these days, i have been told by other editors it's not notable.

Proposed deletion of José Luis Gayá

edit

The article José Luis Gayá has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Soma Novothny

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Soma Novothny, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mentoz86 (talk) 18:46, 20 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Recreation of deleted articles

edit

Recreating deleted articles without addressing the reason for which they were deleted is disruptive editing. Salvador Ruiz

edit

Please don't: 1 - engage in overlinking (no need to write the [[]] after the club/player/person has already been linked); 2 - write in present tense in an ENCYCLOPEDIA ("...he has been..."); 3 - add the player's FULL name in the ESPN reference field, in the statistics chart, if the name of the article is already the correct one of the player, write nothing, if it is not, write the correct sport name of player (in this case, you should have written "Salva Ruiz", his footballing name, not "Salvador Ruiz Rodriguez").

Thank you, happy week --AL (talk) 01:50, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

You did it again in Carles Gil, there was no need to wikilink La Liga, it had already been done in another part of storyline OK? --AL (talk) 02:03, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please (please) have a look at Cristian Portugués to see where you can improve: 1 - the fact he played a friendly game is of no encyclopedical interest (except when a players suffers a serious injury, dies, or if it is a friendly between NATIONAL TEAMS where player scores or makes debut); 2 - please don't make up titles of references (in the game against Dynamo Kiev the title was "Valencia vs. Dynamo Kiev 0-0", you wrote "Valencia"), and no need to add two references (especially if foreign) for SAME news (in this case, the game against Kiev), and if a reference is not in English, you need to add TWO titles, the original language and the English translation; 3 - categories: yes he belongs to Valencia CF for a longtime now, but he was born in Murcia, so he's a MURCIAN footballer, not a VALENCIAN one.

Thank you --AL (talk) 02:33, 3 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

In João Pereira (Portuguese footballer), the hours and minutes in the PC update are not to be removed, please (like you did here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jo%C3%A3o_Pereira_(Portuguese_footballer)&diff=next&oldid=591300581). --AL (talk) 02:16, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's the same reason Wikipedia itself is not considered a reliable source. Any registered user on transfermarkt can submit changes to the database, meaning it's relatively simple to insert incorrect information. In fact, one user, Zombie433 (talk · contribs), has even been banned for (among other things) adding false information to transfermarkt for the express purpose of later adding to Wikipedia with transfermarkt as the source. Also: 1 - the statistics are LEAGUE only, with today's match he has 33/10 in the league, not 36/22; 2 - what you wrote in the last part of his club career is of zero interest encyclopedical interest, it's already in the line above that he scored many goals, and in the statistics chart.

Thank you --84.90.219.128 (talk) 17:11, 28 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Speaking of Valencia players: Carles Gil, can you PLEASE stop writing "at an eventual"? That means nothing in English, you say "in an eventual", and you don't have to say it all the time, sometimes "in a 3-0 win against..." is enough. Also, when La Liga is already wikilinked in the storyline, you don't have to link it again when i (or anybody else) write "Spanish top flight" or similar.

Thanks again. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 18:46, 28 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Some tips

edit

Hey man, how are you?

I'm here to give you some small "tips", as you told me (or QED) that you were new in here.

1- Please, read WP:OVERLINK. You're breaching a rule in WP's guidelines with your edit in José Luis Gayà, you only link a page in the storyline once. If it's already linked, you only write it, not link it;

2- "At a win" (or "at an eventual win") is an incorrect way of writing in English. "IN a win" is the correct one, and you don't need to write "an eventual", it doesn't mean nothing at all;

3- SuperDeporte is not a 100% reliable source. Marca, AS, Sport, ESPN FC and El Mundo Deportivo are some preferred sources for Valencia players.

Thank you, MYS77 00:30, 14 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Next time you update a player's change of club, please at the same time add a reference to a reliable source, preferably the website of the new club, to verify the information. Thanks, Struway2 (talk) 20:47, 29 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm ToonLucas22. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Tamás Kádár without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Hey! I removed the career statistics, because it was indicated twice in his page. Obviously it's unnecessary. See you, Creed7

Oh, sorry for blindly reverting your edit. You may still need an edit summary to avoid people blindly reverting your edits though. --ToonLucas22 (talk) 17:40, 2 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ohh..yes, that's correct..some guys from here has already noticed me the same..excuse me! ;)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Videoton FC, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page József Varga. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Valenciacf.svg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Valenciacf.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:33, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
