Wikipedia style guidelines edit

By Wikipedia style guidelines, we typically do not capitalize the second word, as you did on Manit Joura when you changed Television actor to Television Actor. Just a friendly ping. — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 18:12, 18 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters about capitalization. Please do not cap the second word. Thanks. — Andy W. (talk · contrib) 18:19, 18 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

April 2016 edit

  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Manit Joura. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you.   Hello, I'm Dharmadhyaksha. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Akshay Oberoi, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 06:30, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your edits on various, or almost all, were reverted by me as you were using a certain entertainmentmela.com as reference. This website is not considered a reliable source. Please use only reliable sources on Wikipedia.
Also, on all pages you edited you have used same website. Are you working with this company or involved with it in some other way? Strangely you have at times added this website as reference even though better quality references were already present. Please refrain from promoting such websites on Wikipedia. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 13:03, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:13, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Creative gossip. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. as you have confessed to be working for the www.entertainmentmela.com please refrain from using the website anywhere on Wikipedia. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 17:51, 22 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

August 2016 edit

  Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Manit Joura. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!!
