Hi, I have looked again at Draft:Stingray Business, but I find it too promotional to restore, even as a draft. I think it is better to start from scratch, using neutral language from the very beginning. If you disagree, you can try at WP:REFUND to see whether another admin is willing to undelete. --Randykitty (talk) 14:51, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • Randykitty, are you saying the topic isn't notable and the information couldn't be rewritten with a neutral point of view? If that is what you are saying, then tell this editor that their article isn't notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia instead of telling them to start from scratch. Per WP:CSD#G11, If a subject is notable and the content can be replaced with text that complies with neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion. Also, I'll note that Drafts are meant to be works in progress, and most will not meet Wikipedia's standards for quality at first. per Wikipedia:Drafts#Deleting_a_draft (yes, I acknowledge that is says "though a special deletion policy for drafts has not been decided" and that it says "drafts that are copyright violations, vandalism, BLP violations or blatant advertising or promotion will be speedily deleted" but maintain that unless the topic isn't notable, then it falls off the fine line defined in the G11 criteria). Draftspace drafts are equivalent to userspace drafts because let's face it, a draft is a draft as long as it's not in article space. That said, Wikipedia:User pages#On others.27 user pages suggests that Unsuitable pages, media and images in userspace may also be nominated for deletion or (if appropriate) speedy deleted, but special care should be taken as the user may be expecting leeway and take it personally, and there are a few exceptions. (emphasis mine). So, if you are unwilling to restore this draft to Draft: space, then, assuming this is a notable topic, I request that you properly USERFY it and put it into his or her user space here granting that leeway. Thank you. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 15:42, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • I have not checked whether the topic is notable. G11 has nothing to do with notability, but with content being promotional. Promotional content gets routinely deleted whether it is in main space, draft space, or user space. I am perfectly willing to give leeway for something that is of doubtful notability (I would never delete a draft or a user space page under A7, for example), but not for copyvio or promotional material. Cathleclerc123 just sent me another email and requested that I sent her the previous content by email (I will do that as soon as I have saved this response), which seems the perfect solution to me. --Randykitty (talk) 15:53, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
