Orphaned non-free media (Image:CharlotteAnime.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:CharlotteAnime.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

WP:FILMS Welcome

Welcome!

Hey, welcome to WikiProject Films! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of films, awards, festivals, filmmaking, and film characters. If you haven't already, please add {{User WikiProject Films}} to your user page.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • Most of our important discussions about the project itself and its related articles take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.

There is a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

  • Want to jump right into editing? The style guidelines show things you should include.
  • Want to assist in some current backlogs within the project? Visit the Announcements template to see how you can help.
  • Want to know how good our articles are? Our assessment department has rated the quality of every film article in Wikipedia. Check it out!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Nehrams2020 (talk) 04:51, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Cebuano Wikipedia

Good day! I've found at your userpage that you are a Native speaking Cebuano, and I'm glad to find one here in the English Wikipedia. By the way, I'm Abastillas, but I'm not very active here in the English Wikipedia.

I would like to invite you to help edit articles in the Cebuano Wikipedia. It is very sad to think that, though running for almost three years already, the Cebuano Wikipedia community has only less than ten members, 30,000 articles (mostly stubs), and the recent changes page puffed up mostly by unflagged interwiki bots.

I hope you can visit us there, and hopefully help us grow. Thank you! --Abastillas (talk) 12:11, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Image:MiaGoldenSun.JPG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:MiaGoldenSun.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. haha169 (talk) 01:01, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Also...

Just in case you don't ruin Golden Sun's FA status, the djinn image you uploaded needs a better caption, as well as a better image. Felix is not needed, as only the 4 djinns are mentioned. It might be better if it was removed, due to the large amount of non-free images present on the page - but if you can improve it...find a better image... --haha169 (talk) 01:11, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Janelle Quintana

Unfortunately, I know nothing about Quintana, or Star Circle Quest, or My Girl, so there's not much I can really do. If you cite a couple of magazine/newspaper articles that are mainly about her, then you should be fine.

FYI, the second and sixth references in the last version of the article aren't working for me. Can you give me the article titles, authors, and publication dates, so I can try to find them myself? Zagalejo^^^ 23:15, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Martin del Rosario

A tag has been placed on Martin del Rosario requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Image copyright problem with File:Whisper house.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Whisper house.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 17:03, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Archie Alemania

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Archie Alemania, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Has been unsourced for 3 months, fails the sourcing requirement at WP:BLP

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thrille Cine's lack of sources

Hi, I noticed that you created Thrille Cine, but listed no sources for the information contained in the article. According to Wikipedia's content policies, all information must be verifiable from reliable sources. Therefore, it's necessary to cite your sources so other editors can check that the information included in the article is correct and matches the sources used. Information not previously published in such sources is prohibited as original research, since other editors can't verify it. Unsourced information may be challenged and removed at any time, and articles that can't be verified are likely to be deleted. Guidance on how to cite your sources is available, and if you need any further help, feel free to leave a message on my talk page.--Unscented (talk) 16:07, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

File:CaptainGatzAqua.png

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:CaptainGatzAqua.png has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because images on Wikipedia need to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License or another free license, which allow anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Mageclansoftheeast (talk) 10:52, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of Erika Padilla

The article Erika Padilla has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced non-notable blp

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rocksanddirt (talk) 03:36, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Drakesketchit! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 5 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 964 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Patrick Garcia - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

WikiProject Mammals Notice Board

Eskrimadors

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Eskrimadors, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.istorya.net/forums/tvs-and-movies/257800-eskrimadors-the-documentary-on-the-filipino-martial-arts.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 06:11, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Eskrimadors

A tag has been placed on Eskrimadors requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File source problem with File:PHR Love Is Only In The Movies.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:PHR Love Is Only In The Movies.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:39, 31 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 08:39, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Gimik 2010

A tag has been placed on Gimik 2010 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. かんぱい! You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:13, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Enrique Gil, Alfonso Martinez, Malaya Lewandowski and Kristel Moreno

Enrique Gil article that i cited mentions him having spanish ancestry and alfonso martinez's article mentions his maternal grandmother Amalia Fuentes Having Chinese, Spanish and German Ancestry. read it first before you undo the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.104.218.41 (talk) 11:24, 22 July 2010 (UTC) The citation i remove in Malaya Lewandwki is a deadlink so i replace and read the sources first before you revert it back. The article mentions this Born in San Francisco, California, Lewandowski’s mom is a Filipino while her dad is a German-Polish. I added a link on Kristel Moreno saying she is related to Alma Moreno. To other Filipino removing and adding stuff read the citation before you just remove anything. You should remove some of the people listed in the filipino of chinese and filipino of spanish descent who does not have a source and does not look like they have foreign blood. In the filipino of Chinese descent i only added those who have a chinese last name. Because it is unlikely they have Japanese or Korean blood. You should remove those listed in the Indian and Japanese descent that do not have a source.

Query on signature

Hello. Was this an aberration, or does your signature not contain a link to either your user or talk page? Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 03:34, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

I used the four tildes to sign the post. It's always been that way since I had my user name changed.francis17 11:16, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
The issue is the fact that your signature is not in compliance with the WP:SIG guideline. Specifically, the guideline states, "signatures must include at least one internal link to your user page, user talk page, or contributions page; this allows other editors easy access to your talk page and contributions log. The lack of such a link is widely viewed as obstructive." As such, I would like to politely ask you to fix your signature so that it contains at least one link to one of the required pages. Thanks, — Kralizec! (talk) 16:05, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Deleting Refs

Please stop undoing the filmography table. Please read WP:WikiProject_Actors_and_Filmmakers#Filmography_tables and WP:WikiProject_Actors_and_Filmmakers.

Daniel Henney seems to have little work in his Filmography thus a table is not necessary. A table is used to organize data. His data is pretty small so its pretty organized. I think Japanese actors need tables the most seeing as they usually have alot of work. For example: Hiroshi_Abe_(actor). By the way, you deleted a lot of references and other information that he has also worked on. Ohlly (talk) 23:04, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Please take it to the talk page instead of reverting. I tried talking to you but you don't seem to listen to what I am saying. This article doesn't required and table in that section as it has very little filmography work. Try editing other articles like Hiroshi_Abe_(actor), please. Ohlly (talk) 23:45, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
When they say "Some filmographies are presented in a tabled format." they mean not all. Just clarifying that. Ohlly (talk) 23:47, 22 September 2010 (UTC)
Okay you still don't get what I am saying Carl. The Daniel Henney has little work Hiroshi Abe has tons of work thus it needs a table organizer. Think about this "Things look neater when they are smaller", hence the expression K.I.S.S "Keep It Simple Stupid". Ohlly (talk) 00:00, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Hiroshi_Abe_(actor) we can work on it together if you want. I have never done tables before though. Looks mighty complex. Ohlly (talk) 00:01, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

English names on Pokémon: Best Wishes!

This is the page on the Japanese anime. Not the English adaptation of the Japanese anime. Therefore, the Japanese names should be used and not the English ones.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 20:47, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Announcement

Hello! I'm The Arbiter, one of the coordinators for WikiProject Zoo. I am proud to announce the launch of a new portal: Portal:Zoos and Aquariums! ZooPro, ZooFari, and I worked hard to create a new portal for information on zoos, aquariums, and the associated projects and articles on Wikipedia. If you could head on over, take a look at our work, and maybe learn some more about zoos and Wikiproject Zoo, it would be great! Cheers and Happy Editing!

Proposed deletion of Diane dela Fuente

The article Diane dela Fuente has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. TJRC (talk) 05:42, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

WikiProject Amphibians and Reptiles assessment drive

At WikiProject Amphibians and Reptiles, in which you are listed as a member, we're working on a pretty massive backlog (1000+ articles!) of unassessed articles. We would appreciate it greatly if you would help assess the articles in the link. It's simple to do!

  1. Read over the article.
  2. On the discussion page, look for the {{AARTalk}} template. Add in a "class" and "importance" parameter if the template does not have them already. Example: {{AARTalk|class= |importance= }}
  3. For the class, fill in the article's quality using the WikiProject's quality scale: stub, start, C, B, GA, A, or FA. Most unassessed articles will probably be stubs or start class articles, and definitely B or lower.
  4. For the importance, fill in the article's importance to the WikiProject using the importance scale: low, mid, high, or top. Most unassessed articles will probably be low or mid importance.
  5. Then you're done!

It's not a difficult task, but there's a lot to get done. Our hope is that we can chip through the backlog and assess every article within the auspices of the project. Thanks, bibliomaniac15 00:31, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
