No. I do wish to correspond with RTÉ as for some reason I am occasionally asked if I am in any way connected to agencies such as this or the Irish Independent or the BBC which has puzzled me as I'm not and have resorted to having a disclaimer on my talk page to scare away such people. But you seem to be in direct correspondence so that's that sorted. ;)

Could you assist me with something? Awadewit has puzzled me at DYK and seemed to think I'm trying to plagiarise again only to change her mind and opt for original research today. The article is The Meaning of Life (TV series) and I'm having a hard time trying to convince that the information on Adams and O'Connor here is contained within and yet is not plagiarised (which appears contradictory to me as I had plagiarised it yesterday but it was never there today!). Can you please check if I'm not seeing things? --candlewicke 17:12, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Actually I was rather hoping you could check to see if you could see what Awadewit can't. Or can you make sense of the comment that was left? It is a minor emergency as it is at the bottom and no matter how many times I do as I'm told it seems to be unsatisfactory for some reason or another. :) I think RTÉ is can be accessed outside Ireland, can't it? I don't e-mail and have never done so in relation to Wikipedia, apart from the occasion a Canadian producer tried to send me images for Death or Canada... I find it a bit distracting so I'm not sure I was much help to the poor man... --candlewicke 00:40, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

Saturday Night with Miriam

Wow, I was just going to do that later... I forgot there are others to do so these days. :) I don't think they would post it tomorrow. They wouldn't post Bertie before the final episode even though I did Haughey and Mint Productions at the same time. It is of course perfectly fine to have an episode of Lost as Today's Featured Article when the season finale of that airs in the US but they didn't like it very much when I said that. :( Maybe we will be lucky and it will be posted next Saturday... :) --candlewicke 21:11, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it'll be going on DYK at all... I didn't realise it already had over 1000 characters and I don't think I can get it to 5000... :( but I'll try... --candlewicke 23:49, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I am still improving Tubridy Tonight and hope to eventually do an article for each season (or at least the final three) so I wouldn't follow the exact layout of that - it could be much better. RTÉ aren't very good for leaving information in full view of the general public online... :( perhaps your e-mails can persuade them to make more radio and television content from their archives available on their website. ;) --candlewicke 01:08, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
They only count the prose. :) The boxes and tables and lists don't mean anything to them. So, despite your best efforts and your improvements, I'm afraid they won't accept that at DYK. --candlewicke 17:23, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Conversations with Eamon Dunphy

Well done! :) I will try to add more later. --candlewicke 17:57, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

On second thoughts I'd better not touch it. Cathal has been nominated by deletion by someone who seems to have a bee in their bonnet. I don't know how this can succeed as he's obviously notable but we'll see how it goes. I should warn you as creator of the article (since Ottava has not had the decency to do so) but he has vowed to target anything else I've nominated ("this is just the first of a series") so presumably that includes your work too by association. I am very sorry for this in advance. :( --candlewicke 20:14, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Gerard Pieter Adolfs

Hi Cargoking

Thank you for your comment. I already have written the article "Gerard Pieter Adolfs" on Wikipedia in German and I am the owner of the copyright of all the paintings of my grandfather Gerard Pieter Adolfs. How can I upload the paintings?

Kind regards

Eveline Borntraeger-Stoll Eveline Borntrager-Stoll (talk) 10:31, 24 June 2009 (UTC) [http.//www.gerardpieteradolfs.com] info@borntraeger.com

Hi Cargoking

Yes, I have one more question: Why do you think the article has to be reworded? The homepage www.gerardpieteradolfs.com belongs to me and the recently published biography "Gerard Pieter Adolfs - The Painter of Java and Bali" is written by myself. . .

Thanks a lot for your help and kind regards,

Eveline Eveline Borntrager-Stoll (talk) 10:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

So far no. Thank you! -Sidiade (talk) 08:06, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Gentle suggestion

When you find that a newish user, like User:Gidtchom, has moved his/her userpage into the article namespace, instead of leaving a talk page message threatening to block him/her without really explaining what he/she did wrong, why not (1) move the page back to its old title, and (2) leave a more helpful message describing what you've done and why? Please don't bite the newbies. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 19:21, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Hello. 99% of time I'm only adding interwikis. Do you know a way to automatically insert the edit summary "adding interwiki" or something similar? --Leptictidium (mt) 11:39, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

RTÉ News and Current Affairs

Yes, well done. I've never understood the thinking behind that merger (as I explained on the talk page). --candlewicke 20:36, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't suppose you have any spare photos of the spice burger for the Main Page? :D --candlewicke 01:55, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

AAPS page.

I have made a additions and a few edits to make the page for the American Association of Physicians and Surgeons more accurate and less of a slander page against this community of medical professionals. Now I am receiving messages that my posts do not have a neutral point of view. I'd like an explanation as to what exactly it is about the Declaration of Geneva, Helsinki, and the UDHR that is somehow biased. Additionally, I'd like to know ion what grounds the proven fact that abortion causes preterm birth later in life - and thus a host of needless birth defects for future children - must be kept secret on behalf of the very partisan and biased preferences of the current author's hatred of this organization. Which of my sources are bad? The United Nations ? Wikipedia ? The Journal of Reproductive Medicine ? Or is it just sources like "Quackwatch" that deserve publication ? RTÉ

Oh no... you mean the name has gotten longer now? I can never understand why it is/was Radio Telefís Éireann (or whatever it is)... the British Broadcasting Corporation is at BBC, Cable News Network is at CNN but the Irish equivalent is very awkwardly still not at RTÉ (and indeed has gone in the other direction)? I suggest yourself (and others) wait for now until I ask this over there (if anyone is listening). Oh, yes I think it would be notable but it would need lots of sources to prove that to everyone else... --candlewicke 18:51, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

I have raised the issue on the talk page. Your views are appreciated. --candlewicke 19:13, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Done. --candlewicke 21:21, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Yes, leaders having freak accidents on their holidays are all the rage recently... I was wondering whether to add this to the portal with the Aoife and Strongbow connection and the organ... I suppose it is encyclopedic and historic... --candlewicke 21:33, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

TG4/TV3

Thanks for the rating on TV3, I am not sure if I should rate my own work on Wikipedia. I know TV3 has been well maintained by numerous people here on wikipedia. I have done allot of work on TG4 and would be interested if someone could give it a rating as I feel it has moved on from a start page. I am going to look at RTÉ ONE and TWO in the next few months just been a bit busy. IrishTV (talk) 15:23, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

RTÉ One needs sections e.g. Programming from 1962 - 1969, 1970 - 1979 and so on, RTÉ Two may also require the same type of system. Some of RTÉ One's information should be part of RTÉ. TG4 is quite unreferenced and more detail is require on its programming, TV3 (Ireland) is easier since they haven't produced a lot of TV in the last number of years. However it needs in its history section details about other commercial interest going back to the 1970s. IrishTV (talk) 16:06, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
