Welcome! edit

Hello, CVS Founder, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Conrad Veidt Society, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Again, welcome! Drmies (talk) 20:20, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello.
What exactly is the problem with my article?
There is no other article about the society and it’s work, which is indeed notable.
What should I fix?
Thank you,

November 2022 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "CVS Founder", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems to be a role account or associated with a position. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 16:25, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

My user name reflects who I am, as I founded the Conrad Veidt Society in 1990 to support 1993 commemorations and, after the Veidt nephew gave me his ashes, to find a proper interment, which we accomplished in 1998. CVS is now inactive having accomplished those missions and helping to generate revived interest in the great actor. I have no role or financial interest in anything associated with this article. CVS Founder (talk) 17:13, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply. While you may have no financial interest, you do still have a conflict of interest and should be familiar with that policy. 331dot (talk) 17:45, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I have read the policy and will be extremely careful. CVS Founder (talk) 17:59, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Henry S. Reuss, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you.   Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 17:56, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

As a former President of the national Federation of Podiatric Medical Boards in the U.S. and the Founder of the Conrad Veidt Society, Rathlesberger is more notable than some others currently on the list. CVS Founder (talk) 18:01, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
In that case you can write an article about him first. ... discospinster talk 18:04, 26 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

License tagging for File:Conrad Veidt.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Conrad Veidt.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:30, 13 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I think I have done that now correctly following the directions. CVS Founder (talk) 18:27, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Unsourced edit at Norman Cantor edit

Hello, I'm Mathglot. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Norman Cantor, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mathglot (talk) 04:48, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I’ll work on it. CVS Founder (talk) 05:48, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
