Hi Bruce, thanks for your recent contributions to our articles on Auckland volcanoes. It's great to have someone as knowledgeable as you chipping in. If you'd like any help with editing, please feel free to ask me. By the way, I've taken the liberty of nominating a couple of your new articles (Grafton Volcano and Puhinui Craters) to be listed on Wikipedia's main page. I hope they'll make it through the review process fairly quickly. --Avenue (talk) 13:25, 11 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pukewairiki crater rock formation edit

Hi Bruce, great to see your articles on the newly recognised craters. I just bought your Volcanoes of Auckland book, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Auckland's volcanoes have been an interest of mine for a while. I've recently noticed an unusual circular feature in the shallow water near Pukewairiki crater (coords: -36.936978,174.866906 on google maps) and wondered if you might know what it was. Could it be an unusually large lava bomb? as i've seen small ones embedded in the tuff on the foreshore. Anyway, i thought you might be interested, regards, Bryndlefly (talk) 07:35, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Panmure Basin edit

Hi, thanks for all your improvements to the Panmure Basin article. The cone seems to be covered well now, including the contradictions between the sources. There's still a lot we could add. --Avenue (talk) 10:22, 15 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
