March 2019 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Yellow vests movement, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. You changed "austerity measures" to added "carbon tax" (diff), changing the cite from Le Monde citing to Washington Times. Please note, per WP:RSP, the Washington Times is not a reliable source for climate issues. When your edit was reverted, you reinstated it (diff). Per WP:BRD, please do not reinstate your bold edits without consensus on the talk page, Talk:Yellow vests movement. Thank you. Levivich 21:17, 17 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

YVM / Carbon tax edit

Could you please sign your comment on the talk page with four tildes: ~~~~. (This will help you get responses.) I don't think that it is a travesty that "carbon tax" be included in the list of causes, though I do think the problem is more the perception of an uneven application of the carbon tax (individuals living in peri-urban areas bearing the burden for it). (You might want to look into those who are exonerated from paying TICPE... in particular this sentence in the body of the text (which could probably be improved): "The protest movement against fuel prices mainly concerns individuals, as a number of professions and activities benefit from partial or total exemptions from TICPE").
