I've copied this info from User talk:Ronald20 since Ronald deleted it from his talk page (see [1]).

Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Ronald Molina may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. By starting an account or logging in, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Image:Knx-desk.jpg, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from web sites. For more information, take a look at our policy library. Happy editing!

You've uploaded a bunch of pictures, including some at CBS Columbia Square that clearly have the website name fybush.com in the picture. If you look at the copyright information for that website (see [2]) it says "All text, images, sounds, and designs on these pages are copyright Scott Fybush, unless otherwise noted. No unauthorized use of fybush.com text, images, sounds, or designs is permitted without written authorization..." Unless you've received authorization from Scott Fybush and he is willing to license those pictures under the GFDL or Creative Commons licenses, all of those photos will have to be deleted from the articles, and removed from the Wikipedia. I have removed the stub tag from the Jeep article. It is certainly not a stub. --SFoskett 12:57, July 19, 2005 (UTC)

He doesn't. There were a series of edits made a few hours ago by 66.81.163.103 (talkcontribspage movesblock userblock log) which fit his actions perfectly. He's still finding ways to edit even after being blocked. I don't think he'll ever learn. ErikNY 01:28, 5 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Message from a broadcaster

edit

Ronald, it so happens that I work full time in the broadcast industry as production manager of two FM stations here in Palm Springs. I'd like to extend an invitation to you to contact me on my talk page if you'd like some help in editing broadcast-related articles. I'm an LA native to boot! Born in Culver City, raised in South Central LA and Torrance. I was rather pleased to see an entry at KDFX-CA since I do voiceover work for them and I even worked the news department a couple of summers ago for some extra dough. Take a look at the article about Al Lohman, one of the most important broadcasters in Los Angeles history. Al was a dear friend of mine and I learned a lot from him. Learned a lot from Russ O'Hara, too. I grew up listening to Russ on KRLA...and I never let him forget it. However, you should also know that you may be permanently blocked from further editing if you don't settle down. I'd hate to see that. - Lucky 6.9 05:02, 5 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Ron, please don't be afraid to leave word with me on my talk page. Please click here to leave word, OK? - Lucky 6.9 05:14, 9 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

New stub templates

edit

Ronald20: Please see Wikipedia:Stub#New stub categories for information on creating new stubs. If you are going to create new stub templates, they should be for a fairly large group of articles (100 to 300 articles). You also should propose the creation of the new stub templates at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals before actually creating them. The four stub templates that you have created recently {{El Salvador-bcast-stub}}, {{Guatemala-bcast-stub}}, {{OCTA-stub}}, and {{LADOT-stub}} have all been reported to Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Discoveries. Because there are not enough articles to justify any of those four stubs, they will be deleted. BlankVerse 05:03, 10 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Vanity article

edit

Ronald, please do not keep recreating the article at "Ronald Molina." This has been reverted several times. I've offered to help, but if you do another bad edit, I'll have to block you from editing for a while. I don't want to do that. - Lucky 6.9 23:44, 10 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Auto stubs

edit

The article about the Plymouth automobile is not a stub. Ron, please don't force us to either block you or completely run you off the site. Let us help. Start by stopping the bizarro edits, OK? Please? - Lucky 6.9 23:49, 10 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • None of these are stubs. Stop it now. I'm really tired of dealing with this type of vandalism from you. --SFoskett 23:59, August 10, 2005 (UTC)
  • Note that he also added bizarre future death dates for Hilary Duff and Snoop Dogg, a common tactic he has used on auto articles in the past. --SFoskett 00:07, August 11, 2005 (UTC)

edit

I'm sorry, Ronald, but you have been blocked from editing for the next 48 hours. You are welcome to return after the block expires. You are also welcome to contact me as I still want to help you, but you really need a time out. Those automotive articles were not stubs but fully formed articles. - Lucky 6.9 00:01, 11 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Ronald20: Even while you are blocked from editing the rest of the Wikipedia, you can still leave a message here on your talk page. You can also contact either Lucky 6.9 or me by using the "E-mail this user" link on our User pages. BlankVerse 02:24, 11 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Why you were blocked

edit
  1. Even though you have been warned about doing this, you have continued to add stub templates to large articles, and remove them from small ones. The stub templates are only supposed to go on the very short articles that Wikipedia editors call stubs. Once the articles get large enough, then the stub templates should be removed. Adding a stub template like the template:US-bcast-stub to an article also adds the article to the category Category:United States broadcasting stubs. Editors who are interested in editing and improving short articles on radio and television stations can look at that category to see which ones need to be improved.
  2. You added false information to the Hilary Duff and Snoop Dogg articles. (In the past you have also added false information to the KDIS and CBS Columbia Square articles.) The Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and everything in an article needs to be factual and verifiable.

If you continue to do either of these things, you will get blocked again. If you get blocked a few more times, you will be permanently banned from editing articles on the Wikipedia. We would rather see you do good edits on the Wikipedia and not have to block you. Please try to be more careful with your edits.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me, either by adding a message to my Talk page at User talk:BlankVerse, or by emailing me using the "E-mail this user" link on my User page (or this link}. BlankVerse 05:24, 13 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

More substubs

edit

Ronald, haven't you been listening? You just wrote something which had a total content of "Science Court is a television show." My friend, that is NOT an article. What was the show about? When did it air? Who hosted it? Was it a local show? National? International?

I've deleted that entry. However, if you wish to recreate it, feel free to do so but research the show first, OK? Thanks. Your friend, Lucky 6.9 20:54, 13 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

KTTV Fox Studios—copyright violation

Ronald: This image you uploaded, Image:KTTVFoxStudios.jpg, is a clear copyright violation. It is from this webpage [8] where it says: (Photo / All rights reserved.) Copyright © 2005-Gary Wayne All Rights Reserved.

It is okay to upload logos from television and radio stations where the Wikipedia can claim fair use. It is not okay to upload images that have a clear copyright and you haven't received permission from the copyright holder to use their image on the Wikipedia.

I will probably be going through all the images that you've uploaded, and if I find any more that are copyright violations, I will report them at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Then they will be deleted from the Wikipedia. BlankVerse 05:32, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Blocked again

edit

Ron, tagging those articles about major retailers with stub notices has now earned you a one-week wikivacation. You were blocked once before for adding unnecessary stub notices to the car manufacturer articles and it seems you've yet to learn from your mistake. Not only that, you refuse to speak to any of us regarding your behavior. You can come back and edit in one week, but those edits must be within policy. Next time, I'll block you for much longer. Sorry to have to do this, but your lack of cooperation and your silence leaves me no choice. - Lucky 6.9 08:53, 21 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Ronald: The length of time for the block has been changed to 48 hours (two days). The block started at 11:34 am, 21 August 2005, so you will be able to start editing articles on the Wikipedia again on Tuesday afternoon 23 August.
Even while you are blocked, you can still add comments or questions here on your user talk page. If you have any questions, please add them here. You can also email me by using the "E-mail this user" link on my User talk page.
I see on your User page that you have been to El Salvador. Do you like pupusas? Have you looked at the Wikipedia article on pupusas? I'm one of the editors who has worked on that article. I think that it is pretty good, although it probably needs some more information on curtido and loroco. BlankVerse 01:47, 22 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
