More Pokemon articles

As an FYI, I was going to make more articles on B/W Pokémon; however, I figured that it would be better to actually beat Black and White and experience most of the Pokémon before writing about them and ruining the surprise. Suffice it to say, Reshiram and Zekrom (as one article), Lillipup line, Patrat line, Timburr line, the other two starting lines, Purrloin line, Litwick line, that gear line, Trubbish line, and Vanillite line all have great potential. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 19:17, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Also, I'd be willing to do the search for the starters' references but not write it, so if you'd write the other two, that'd be great. It's annoying enough to have to search for seven names in all - three English names, three Japanese names, and one fan name. :p - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 19:21, 4 April 2011 (UTC
I beat the game about two weeks ago. I guess my current task will be filling out some of these entries. I already went through most of the list and made sure each evo had at least one decent section written. So if somebody wanted to know about say Ducklett, they could look at Swanna and mentally devolve it, or vise versa. I will try and fill out some of the species lines you mentioned. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:25, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
It just occurred to me that none of us listen to Pokémon Monday, even though there's probably tons of untapped content to use from them. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 19:44, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
Yep, I often search for a Pokemon, and that comes up, and I am tempted to listen to it. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:50, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Spryro Fangames

Hi,I get what your saying now, adding every spyro fangame would be a pain. How about I make a new page called spyro fangames, where I will track down every spyro fangame and put them on there, then on the spyro page I could have the title spyro fangames, then write about what a fangame is and have a link directing them to the spyro fangames page. Would that be alright? Mrhoix (Talk·Edits) 17:07, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon dash

Thanks for the fix on Dash; I had missed the sentence on checkpoint (video gaming) that mentioned racing games and instead chose to dab to the checkpoint specifically mentioning points one passes through. Cheers, Ost (talk) 22:05, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Re: Appearance data

Technically, they all DO appear in the games, merely in a rarer fashion than the other games that they are more common in. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 21:09, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

If you'd like. I don't really care about it that much. And thank you for your kind words on Bidoof. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 22:36, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Bare URL references

When you add references to articles, could you please use Template:Cite web rather than just doing <ref>URL</ref>? Bare URLs are not professional.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 17:49, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

I try to use Cite Web as much as possible. Although, sometimes it is better to add a URL ref then to just not add it at all. What exact instance are you referring to? Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:05, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
All this.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 19:31, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
That was copypasted from Zubat, which also is not fully filled out. When I get time, I will use reflinks to fill them out. Just chill. Wikipedia is not built in a day. This is not a featured list, and it can have some errors in the meantime. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:47, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

MfD User:Racepacket/RSMAS

Dear Blake: Could I please ask you to change your vote? I am trying to get material reviewed by a number of people before it is allowed to go to article space. Using user subpages rather than Google docs or email attachments really helps the process and keeps it all on-wiki. I don't see how the subpage is named will affect the problem. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 08:41, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Dear Blake: I have no intention of keeping Ryulong from editing the article. I am trying to be efficient in asking volunteers to clear the article only once rather than repeatedly over the period that we are responding to the GA review's recommended changes. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 03:01, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Reverting banned users edits

Yes, I revert all banned users edits, regardless of merit. If they keep it up, I start to semi-protect every article they touch. If they continue past that, I begin to actually root through the article histories and delete their revisions from the history. Eventually they give up.—Kww(talk) 16:08, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Fighting types

Not by our guidelines, but since it is inevitable that we will see articles for the Tepig and Chimchar lines, I'd say make it anyway. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 22:19, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Pikachu

I have replied to your concerns regarding my edits to the Pikachu article on my talk page. Crisco 1492 (talk) 16:44, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Hypno

While Hypno is not used as a disambiguation page, it's not exactly exclusively applied to this Pokémon. It's a fairly common suffix for things (like "hypno disc" or more commonly "hypno toad"). - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 23:59, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

Well, the name "Hypno" redirected to the Pokemon. If there was a Wikipedia article to go to, then maybe there could be a hatnote. If there is enough a disambag page should be made. If these are just random terms that aren't notable for Wikipedia, then the name "Hypno" should be used for the Pokemon. Makes sense, no? Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:07, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
After looking at the search result, I guess there are quite a few things with "Hypno" in the title. Should we make a Hypno (disambiguation) page with a few entries and slap an {{incomplete}} tag on it? Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:28, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Definitely sounds amicable. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 02:50, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

For cleaning up after mah edits. Much thanks. :v - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 01:58, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

No problem! While you are improving our coverage, I am glad to do some quick maintenance work. Makes me feel involved I guess. Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:07, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Well hey, you definitely did a lot of great work on Gyarados and did a great job compiling the reception for the now-split Woobat. Also, when I get my top 10 book, would you be interested in maybe splitting the work if you can be coaxed into doing it? Five and five (or however you'd like to split it)? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 02:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Plus, you've actually made two GAs of Pokémon species versus my none. :v - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 02:43, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
Well while I do flesh out some information on the articles, every time I wake up, you split off 5 articles. lol. Also, what I put on Woobat was just copied from Zubat, which was what you found. Blake (Talk·Edits) 13:29, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

My user talk

I don't need to be looked after, so kindly remove my user talk page from your watchlist, as that is feasibly the only reason why you felt it necessary to comment on my use of the word "bullshit" in an edit summary.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 00:33, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

GameInformer source for HK-47

I remember you adding a source for Starkiller from Game Informer's february issue. Don't suppose you have the December 2010 one? It's just that apparently HK-47 was ranked at #15 in "The Top 30 Characters who Defined a Decade" and it needs a source. Harry Blue5 (talk) 23:50, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

I most likely do. I will try to get to it on Saturday if you remind me. Blake (Talk·Edits) 01:27, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

I did end up finding it. I posted some of the text from it on the talkpage. I just put the url as the podcast for supporting material. Blake (Talk·Edits) 19:50, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Image strengthening

I've found that a lot of good articles and probably a lot of featured articles (I haven't check them yet) are abusing the use of copyrighted images on Wikipedia (for example, I've seen several articles that use three images to visualize content in the article even though the first image demonstrates everything that the other two images are trying to do). Would you be interested in helping fix this problem? - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:39, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Well, I'm not necessarily asking for people who specifically agree with my stance. However, it gets a little silly sometimes; I mean, there's an artistry to choosing the right images for use in an article, and I think a lot of people use way too many images that do nothing but decorate the article. I ain't for limiting images; Hell, I'm looking at giving Pokémon Black and White four images, if I can find a strong image to use for the Dream World. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:55, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Additionally, and not trying to push you, but I'd like it if you shared your opinion some more on Pokémon Black and White's setting image. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 19:01, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Charizard vandal

I appreciate the help with the guy vandalizing all the articles with his stupid Charizard crossover thing. The problem, though, is that he's been doing it using a variety of IPs ever since September, and with the exception of one that seems to come up more often not (195.194.199.50), he switches to new ones so often that warning or blocking them is an exercise in futility. It's probably not possible, but is there perhaps a way to permanently prevent him from doing so in the future instead of just waiting for him and playing defense? Some sort of filter perhaps? -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:41, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

I am not sure. They have been adding it to the actual Charizard page too, and I got it protected for a year. I am not sure if protecting Roger Craig Smith would be appropriate though. I am not sure what should be done. Blake (Talk·Edits) 02:24, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
That's the problem, though: it's not just Smith's page. There's essentially about 30 different pages that have all been vandalized in the past, all of them somehow related to this Charizard crossover thing. Protecting all of them because of one vandal seems like a step too far, and he could easily just start doing the same thing to other pages instead.. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 03:21, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Oh, don't worry about it. One can tell by the article's title that Wikipedia is nothing more than a stupid joke that decides when and when not certain sites are reliable, so I'll not bother. It's not like Wikipedia is the book of God, after all. I think The Sun is a better read, actually, and I'm thinking of closing my account here as well.

And thank you for warning me, the foreigner, and not bothering the American users who were reverting as well. This was always a losing battle, but also not one worth fighting, so you needn't respond to me, because I won't answer you. Jienum (talk) 17:03, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm still going through it and trying to work out a good way to summarize it up, since the sources are basically all saying one of two things ("it's a better Zubat"/"it's just another Zubat").
