Yes it's User:No More Mr Nice Guy. If he was deleted, then why is he still able to edit/undo/...??? I cannot talk to him nor warn him because his talk page is inactive! I'm sorry you feel that way. You obviously didn't do much research then, you certainly didn't look at the lies and false accusations of sockpuppetry constantly thrown at StillStanding by the POV group he was running into; you didn't look into the harassment he received, the constant threats and promises of a campaign to have him blocked.

You can accuse me of assuming bad faith if you want, but he had editors talking about him in veiled terms like "our mutual friend", talking about strategies to get him blocked, talking about having him blocked for creating a draft RfC page, and who actively went to have others blocked for trying to research diffs for that same page. There was no "good faith" involved in this, there was a pattern of bad-faith edits by a battleground-mentality POV group who happened to find a set of sympathetic admins to their cause.

I saw the accusations, and I also saw the constant POV-pushing, some personal attacks, and also a very one-sided analysis of what happened in the exact link; he does not in any way appear to acknowledge that he might have had a part in what happened. I did quite a bit of reading, although not of absolutely every edit StillStanding did, I just don't happen to agree with you. Thank you for the clarification. Based on it, here is what I found out:

Regarding point 3, the Driehaus College of Business contains both the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and the Undergraduate School of Business, which is not named yet. All of the specific departments (Management, Marketing, etc.) are part of the Driehaus College of Business and teach classes at both the graduate (Kellstadt) and undergraduate levels.

Regarding point 4, the links have updated the Entrepreneur and Princeton review rankings to the pages which explain the basis on which rankings are done. I hope this is what is required for detailed references.

Hi I'm a bit bit confused about the refusal on the grounds of notability. The band have had repeated airplay on BBC national radio, the BBC guidelines for wikipedia articles say this is sufficient for notability, these plays have been referenced in the article. They have also been played on national Irish radio, last year and also last week. Can you give me some pointers on what is not notable?

Regarding SoccerStarz page

In reply to your decline of the SoccerStarz wiki pgae. I find it amazing that the page can be declined for the reasons that you give and yet another similar product called 'Match Attax' has its very own page with no problem whatsoever. Also there are hardly any references on that page and yet it has been cleared. This is one of the main problems I have with wikipedia, there is just no consistency to the decisions that are made and it is such a battle for a user to upload a new page nowadays. There seems to be this obsession with references, but references should only really be required for matters of fact or to support a statement. Not every single line of an article requires a reference. This is my honest opinion of the situation, its never made clear what the problems are.

There are so many other pages relating to products that are structured like this though and yet they are accepted. Wikipedia is supposed to be a source of information, why does it have to be notable? Surely just has to be reliable. Plus I was hoping that once it was accepted, other contributors could help me build up the page as its difficult to create a page all by yourself.

Deletion of Logitech MX Revolution

While I agree with the merges, this article did go up for an AfD and a keep was decided upon rather than a merge Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Logitech_MX_revolution. I'm not 100% sure on the policy on it, however I support the merge of all the products. In fact the merge is almost better since it provides a easy to read chart rather than multiple, short articles. I feel that your speedy deletion of the above album article failed to meet the criteria under which you deleted it. Gene Ammons does have an entry (as do all the sidemen) and the album is notable for a number of reasons - the artists last appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival and one of his last notable live albums (noted in the Allmusic review. Restoration of deleted article

Hello, Bjelleklang. A while ago I found that the editing history of the article Aldo Grippaldi started with an edit with an edit summary saying "Undid revision 528824552 by SDPatrolBot", which obviously made no sense. It turned out that you had deleted the article, and then restored just the latest revision, losing its editing history. It took me a bit of time and work to sort it out, as another article had been deleted at one of the names involved, and I had to sort out which edits to restore and history-merge, and which to leave deleted. I assume that restoring only the latest revision was just a slip, as I can't imagine any reason why you would wish to destroy the editing history. And also why wikipedia in Italian and Spanish has approved the article since years with no problems, considering Simoncioni notable? Maybe he could be not notable for you but he for sure is for music related people and artists. Or maybe he is just not notable for the english version of wikipedia. If this is the reason, I can understand, otherwise, sorry, it looks little strange. Also because Simoncioni not only is a worldwide renowed mixer and producer, but also a live musician and former artist with references. He toured in Ligabue's band from 1998 to 2005 in Italy and Europe (including in many TV shows as the MTV music award (refs included). From the editor Hello again from the Help Project! In the last newsletter (which was quite a while ago sorry!) I talked about my fellowship and the plans for improving the main portal page, Help:Contents. Well I'm sad to say that my fellowship is now over, but very happy to say that the proposed improvements to that page have been completed and implemented. Do check it out if you haven't already. Another important and frequently used help page, Wikipedia:Contact us, has also seen a significant revamp. You may recognise the design inspiration from the new tutorial pages. In project news, we now have a subscription to the "article alerts" service. Any deletion nominations, move discussions, or requests for comments on pages within the Help Project's scope will now show up at Wikipedia:Help Project/Article alerts. So that's definitely a page which project members might want to watch. Any comments or suggestions for future issues are welcome at Wikipedia:Help Project/Newsletter. Protection of Linux Mint

Full-protecting the Linux Mint article seems excessive, considering that (1) the IP editor had been blocked for edit-warring, and (2) semi-protection would have achieved the same result. The block for the IP hasn't even expired, so there's no indication that the behavior would continue. My understanding of the protection policy is that the minimum required to stop disruption is preferred, and that's already been done, so is there any particular reason why you felt full-protecting the article was necessary, when the disruption had already been taken care of? - SudoGhost 15:13, 14 January 2013 (UTC)

Your comment on my edit

Thanks for catching my link to the disambiguation page instead of the direct link. (It's now fixed.) It was an oversight, and embarrassing in that I correct others' such errors without sending a mail.

One observation - and a question. Neither the Wikipedia general entry for Rhapsody nor the dictionary entry notes that the basic word from the Greek (root rhapt - ) refers to a stitching together - a rhaptis is a tailor - so a rhapsody, whether literary or musical, is a stitching together of themes, often in an unstructured manner.

So how and where, in your opinion, should a contributor insert such additional material?

Hi -- In reference to your recent edit -- you swapped the "White on White" photo on the grounds that the old one was upside down; yet the new one is in the same orientation. I happen to prefer the new one because it demonstrates the artwork more clearly; but just pointing out that if the old one was upside down, the new one is too! Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Infastech

Hi Chris, you declined my article for creation on Infastech, I have been through multiple iterations and had several attempts to create a solid page deleted. Perhaps you can view some of that history each decline is very contradictory to the others and very frustrating. Infastech is not a household name. There is investor trading news relating to Infastech expected this week, lots of people will be searching to find out who they are and what their affiliation with Stanley Black and Decker is. I tried to create a non-bias article with lots of references and citations, was told to add more and show other published info etc before it was deleted. All I am now trying to do is get the page created with a few base facts on the Stanley buy-out referenced in the article so others can contribute further about the company. Appreciate any help you can and happy for you to consider any one of the previous 4 submissions for Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Infastech. trouble in uploading image

I have tried to repeatedly trying to upload an image from an external source to an article called grey wolf. There is a user always trying to delete that. Both wolf are of same species .   • We worked on reducing the time it takes for Wikidata edits to show up in the Wikipedias and made some progress. Daniel posted an analysis
  • We started running a script on the database in order to make search on Wikidata case-insensitive. This should be finished in a few days and then search should be more useful.
  • In addition to the above we have rolled out a new search box that suggests items. This should also make finding things on Wikidata a lot easier for you.
  • We’re making some progress with Internet Explorer 8 support but there are a lot of issues with it (some outside our control). It’s unclear at the moment how much we can improve it still without spending an unjustified amount of time on it. You can follow the progress at bugzilla:44228
  • Edits are now auto-confirmed for users with more than 50 edits and account age 4 days: bugzilla:46461
  • Do you need old-style interwiki links for a sister project for example? This is for you
  • The Wikimedia Foundation applied as a mentoring organisation for Google Summer of Code again. We have proposed some Wikidata projects for students to take up if the Foundation is accepted again. At least 2 other organisations that applied also propose Wikidata ideas. More details on that once we know which organisations are accepted.

  • Deployment of phase 2 on the remaining Wikipedias was delayed because of a high lag of changes being propagated to the Wikipedias. The lag has been reduced considerably now and is going down even more. The new date for deployment will not be next week because there are other large changes on Wikimedia infrastructure scheduled that we do not want to interfere with. It will hopefully happen very soon after that though.
  • Next code update on wikidata.org is planned for Wednesday. This should include qualifiers and bugfixes.
  • There will probably be a short outage/read-only for wikidata.org on Tuesday (database is being switched to MariaDB)
  • If you're a student and interested in coding on Wikidata consider applying for Google Summer of Code.
  • There is a new user right: property creators

• Development
  • Dispatch lag is now down to 0 so changes should show up very quickly on the Wikipedias in watchlists and recent changes
  • wikidata.org now always redirects to www.wikidata.org. This should among other things solve the issue where people were not able to edit when on wikidata.org (bugzilla:45005)
  • Fixed weird blocked-user/protected-page handling in UI (bugzilla:45140)
  • Final meetings for the external professional review of our code and architecture. They were quite happy with the quality of the codebase and gave useful tips for improvements
  • Worked on automatic summaries for editing claims
  • Investigation of different JavaScript frameworks dealing with date and time
  • Worked on using Redis and the job queue for change notifications to clients

Open Help Conference The Open Help Conference will be taking place June 15-19 in Cincinnati Ohio, USA. The conference includes two days of presentations and open discussions, followed by team "sprints" - collaborative efforts to write and improve documentation. It has been suggested to send a team from Wikipedia/Wikimedia: to share our own knowledge about help, learn from others in the open source community working on similar problems, and to carry out a sprint to improve some aspect of Wikipedia's help. There may be support available for volunteers to attend from the Participation Support program (and your editor is certainly hoping to be there!) Please join the discussion in Meta's IdeaLab if you're interested, and/or have suggestions about what we could work on.	Other news The Article Feedback Tool (v5) has now been changed to be opt-in for all pages. It can be enabled for specific pages by adding Category:Article Feedback 5 to them. There are also a number of new features. It has been proposed to merge the questions forum of the New contributors' help page into the Teahouse. Discussion is taking place here. The help menu at Help:Contents/Browse and its subpages have been largely cleaned up. User:Moxy has created a descriptive help directory. A project on Video and Interactive Tutorials has begun, supported by a Wikimedia Foundation grant. Suggestions for subjects are invited on the talk page.

I saw that you turned down the page I submitted for What Katie Did. What Katie Did is the world's leading brand of vintage inspired lingerie and have dressed just about every A-lister going, as well as supplying lingerie for lots of films and TV shows.
