On April 2, 2008, Did you know? was updated with facts from the articles SS Fort La Monte, and John Latenser, Sr., which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Well done. Kindly nominated by Freechild. Do feel free to self nominate in future. Blnguyen (vote in the photo straw poll) 06:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anytime. I'm up to 70 DYKs now, and am shooting for 100 by the end of the month. We'll see! What Omaha articles should I write next - I'm looking for any suggestions. • Freechild'sup? 03:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Invitation

BierHerr, considering your past interest in Omaha's architecture, I think you may be interested in this. Please feel free to work on any of the list - I would love to bring this article to FA status. • Freechild'sup? 14:51, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I thought there would be items of interest to you there - I'm glad that is confirmed. About the founders article, I generally pulled most of that info from Nebraska, a 1939 guide by the Federal Writers Project, along with Upstream Metropolis. As always though, you can find my original citations in the articles. BUT - have you read my note on the talk page? I'd love to brainstorm that with you. • Freechild'sup? 13:51, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I was feeling bad that Latenser received such attention while Kimball languished, so I've souped up his article with citations and an exhaustive list of buildings. • Freechild'sup? 06:53, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Omaha

edit

Hey BierHerr. Since you've contributed so much to the articles about Omaha, I want to invite you to join me in founding Wikipedia:WikiProject Omaha. According to the guidelines there should be at least five people interested in the in project before launching it, and you would be one of the five most active editors throughout the 100s of Omaha-related articles. Please reply on talk page whether or not you're interested. Thanks. • Freechild'sup? 06:18, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

With support from a number of editors, WikiProject Omaha is now live. Feel free to add your name to the list of editors and to add one of the spiffy templates to your user page. There is a list of open tasks and a resource list you can contribute to or help with, as well! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to working with you to make WikiProject Omaha a success. • Freechild'sup? 17:13, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
FYI, I have created a new userbox for Omahans to to show that they live in or hail from the city. Here's the code: {{User WikiProject Omaha}} . Let me know if you are interested in collaborating on any topics, and feel free to invite others to join our Wikiproject! Thanks. • Freechild'sup? 08:26, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Physicians Mutual

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Physicians Mutual requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Animalparty-- (talk) 06:13, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

I've declined the request. Please let me know if I've missed something. Airplaneman 12:37, 28 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
