Links should'nt go through the Wikipedia Libry, as it's not available to the average user reading Wikipedia. This is currently the case with reference #2 -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 01:11, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@ActivelyDisinterested If they papers in question are available somewhere in open access, then it is preferable to use them from there. In this case, the paper doesn't seem to be available at Newspapers.com (not sure about other places). I'm not to familiar with NewspaperArchive through Wikipedia Library, but if it is possible to create open access clips of the articles then it would be great. Note that per WP:SOURCEACCESS, sources that are difficult to access are ok, though open access sources are of course preferable. I did tag the source in question with registration required tag. The library only provides access to resources made available by another service, and registration is different than registration, 500 edits and a six month waiting period. Even if the original source is paid it's still a better link. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 10:23, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Do you know if it is possible to have both links in the ref code? Something similar to where an archive link is also available in links to dead sources. I'm just thinking it is benifical for editors to have easy access to the source to review it (as long as they have access to the Library). Either way, we can switch the source in question for this one, which is the paywalled version. Alvaldi (talk) 10:38, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
The easiest way is to add it to the ref after the cite, e.g. |access-date=date}} Also available through the [http://blah.blah Wikipedia Library]</ref> -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 12:44, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
