Miang/Ramsus articles edit

I noticed that you did an exceptional job on the Krelian article...would you be willing to help start similar ones on Miang and Ramsus? Deckiller 23:12, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

(REPLY) Okay, sounds good. I'll start working on a Miang article, although I agree that it will be a project and a half. I would also give you a big hug if you helped me with the cleanup of the lists ^_^ Deckiller 02:48, 20 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Krelian and Ramsus articles edit

Heya. I've been reading through the Xenogears-related pages and making some minor edits, and I thought I'd send you a message at Deckiller's suggestion. I've written the Miang article that Deckiller helped create, though it's not finished format-wise just yet (thinking about adding some info about the V-1 Vierge, Miang's Gear), if you want to give it a look. I was thinking that the Ramsus and Krelian articles could use a bit of cleanup, maybe rewrite in some places - as character pages I think they'd better serve the viewer without quite so much plot summary and with more character description, such as info that helps elaborate on a character's motivations, mannerisms and background. The Krelian and Ramsus pages both include quite a bit of info, some of which may not immediately pertain to them but to the game at large, and if it's okay with you I'd like to make some changes. Thoughts? TKarrde 16:53, 15 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Succession boxes edit

I find your following suggestion acceptable:

Preceded by Lightweight boxing champion (WBC)
2004–2005
Succeeded by

However with just filling it with "vacant" it defeats the purpose in putting a succession box

The previous:

Preceded by Lightweight boxing champion (WBC)
2004–2005
Succeeded by

Leads to the assumption that Floyd Mayweather lost his title via a loss

Jeff Lacy and Joe Calzahge succession boxes edit

Someone keeps editing out my two succession boxes for Lacy and Calzaghe, I could use your help :) Maya Levy 03:49, 5 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the advice and yes the Joe Calzaghe article is very abysmally written, but the Jeff Lacy recently was revamped and improved Miss Maya Levy 03:26, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Jermain Taylor box edit

An honest mistake on the Jermain Taylor succussion box, Vacancy filled by, does the job for me... Miss Maya Levy 23:01, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mayweathers edit

ArcTheLad, May I make a suggestion? Your articles on Floyd Mayweather and Roger Mayweather don't actually say that Floyd won a unanimous decision over Judah. (The reader has to check the footnotes to learn the outcome of the fight.) Thanks for the articles though! Ron.

  • The Floyd article does say it already. I was focusing on Roger in Roger's article, but I made a minor edit so that it's clear that Floyd won. Thanks. ArcTheLad 02:17, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Marger the template:succession box edit

I would like to propose to merger Template:Succession box into Template:Championshiptitle because we do not need 2 same templates for articles of boxers. What do you think? --Yappakoredesho 22:39, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pongsaklek Wonjongkam DYK edit

Did you know? has been updated. A fact from the article Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, which you recently created, has been featured in that section on the Main Page. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

Image:JLCastillo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:JLCastillo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mosmof 22:46, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

More replaceable fair use images edit

Hi, several of your photographs are being tagged as replaceable fair use images, as they do not meet the first fair use criterion since they are used to describe a public person who is alive, or the use is decorative and not encyclopedic. The following pictures may be considered replaceable.

Please review WP:FU and WP:FUC, and if you disagree, leave a {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} tag (and please don't erase the notice tag). Thanks.--Mosmof 03:18, 14 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image tagging for Image:Cal-lastlateral.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Cal-lastlateral.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Featured List of the Day Experiment edit

There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TonyTheTiger (talkcontribs) 18:56, 15 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ramsus.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ramsus.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello ArcTheLad! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 937 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
