firstly, thanks for the informative article on clopidogrel.

the reason I added the line about Clopidogrel Dr. Reddy's in England is that one might reasonably infer from your article that Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Aventis are the only legal sources of clopidogrel outside of India. however, Clopidogrel Dr. Reddy's is a generic and is routinely prescribed in the NHS, and supplied by chemists handling NHS presriptions. I believe that it also available in Germany, so I am guessing that generic clopidogrel is legally available in many countries, though perhaps not in the Americas. by all means, use Clopidogrel XXX if, on re-reading, you think that your article needs re-balancing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 167.1.176.4 (talk) 11:18, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Not sure why you did what you did

Hello. I reverted you for two reasons.

1) there was NO reason to remove that wiki link for "Apologize" in that added section, as you thereby made it inconsistent with the rest of the examples that all had wiki links for their examples. (And to make it clear, I'm not referring to the Wictionary word either. If that had to be changed, that's fine... I'm referring to the actual Wikipedia word "Apologize". Not sure why you undid the wiki link for that, as there was no real reason to, maybe it was a mistake when you re-did the actual Greek word part. Not sure.)

2) You said that what I put was not stated in the source. That's simply not true. There was NO "original research". It was a PDF, so maybe you somehow missed it. But the notion by some that a full apology should consist of an "explanation" along with it, in keeping with the original meaning, etc, IS in that ref. So not sure what you're talking about. (As an example, right in that source it reads: "Dr. Aaron Lazare, a psychiatrist and author of the influential book On Apology, cites four principal components of apology: acknowledging the offence, communicating remorse, providing explanations, and making reparations.") Both those changes in that edit were not valid or warranted, sorry to say, hence why I undid those. Just letting you know. Again, I'm serious here. When I saw what you did, I was a bit puzzled, because to be frank it made no sense. You removed the wiki link why exactly? NO valid reason to do that. And also, what I stated (remember we're NOT supposed to copy and paste verbatim from refs, but get the main gist and points from them) IS clearly in that ref. So there was no "original research" anything to warrant your tagging that ref or whatever. For real. Seriously. It is in that PDF page there. You apparently missed it though. 1) Sorry for removing the link. As you suspected, this happened accidentally when I fixed the claim that "apologian" was a Greek verb. I see you have fixed this.

2) My reason for adding the "original research" tag was that an etymological fallacy "holds, erroneously, that the present-day meaning of a word or phrase should necessarily be similar to its historical meaning" (quote from article). As far as I see, your source doesn't claim that people think an apology implies an explanation because of the word's "original" meaning. I'm a bit sceptical that this should be so because most English-speaking people probably don't know the word's etymology. Did I overlook something in the source? What are your views? New name of Affitin

Hello, Just to answer your question about the Affitins : Nanofitin is not the name of a brand of Affitin, it is the new name of this binding protein derived from sac7d family, that's why I wanted to replace Affitin by Nanofitin each time on the Affitin article. Please find a proof on the following link : https://data.epo.org/publication-server/document?iDocId=7779470&iFormat=3 It is a scientific publication from this year and it is written at the beginning [description part 0009] that "Nanofitins (were) formerly known as Affitins". So for these wikipedia pages to still be correct, the Affitin page should become Nanofitin page and on the page Antibody mimetic, Affitin should be replaced by Nanofitin in the table. Hm. I didn't see this as a change of the merge target as I only replaced a redir (5-Methyltetrahydrofolate) with its target (Levomefolic acid). The merger wouldn't have needed any discussion in the first place because L-methylfolate and Levomefolic acid are synonyms. I have to say that my edit summary ("Moved target of merge proposal") was rather misleading. Was this still a breach of guidelines? --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 15:14, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

You were following the project's consensus on INN naming conventions, however the (now finished) renaming project suggested leaving the Move proposal up for a long time (over a month) to make sure it's consensus. For example, the renaming of Tetrahydrocannabinol to INN dronabinol would totally be in the project's guidelines, however it would not make sense to 99.99% of the readers who read the page. Similarly, if you look at my (re)naming proposal in Talk:Levomefolic acid back to L-methylfolate, I show that the scientific community has not adopted the name and prefer to use the name "l-methylfolate" used as the generic name for the product patented by Merck. I'm not sure what to do with the article now. It talks about the chemical 5-MTHF, the "drug" (that doesn't exist in pharmacology as Levomefolic acid (because it is an acid it cannot be formed into a tablet and must remain in solution?), and the commercial drug l-methylfolate calcium and varients.
