Yes, there seems to a bug in WP:ARV causing the problem. It happened to a previous IP I reported too. The tool seems to harvest the IP address from the URL. So in edit mode, the ?action=edit tag seems to get added.-- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK 15:08, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

If an admin breaks the 3rr rule will the admin be punished or are admins allowed a greater number of reverts maybe 4 5 6 7 8 ?

Hello

Do admins have the right to revert more then non-admins?

I just reported an admin for breaking the 3rr but I am not certain that he did break it if he is allowed more reverts.

Hehe, I don't think Nick told you - I have an odd, unreasonable fear of monkies. Not chimpanzees or apes or gorillas, just monkies. And spiders and ants and cockroaches and snakes.... Help with reverting and redirecting

Hello, I was wondering if you could help me? I've been on wikipedia for a bit but I'm still learning my way around.

I've been bumbling along trying to improve and expand some of the Elder Scrolls stubs and articles, but somebody has deleted the Porphyric hemophilia article and redirected the page to Porphyria; their logic being that since Porphyric Hemophilia redirects (with a capital H) this one should too. The problem is that the article is about the Elder Scrolls universe and has no relation to the real world disease.

So, I was wondering how do you revert something like this? Actually, I've yet to work out how to revert anything at all. *scratches head* Also, how would I go about moving this article to a different page with a (Game) or (Elder Scrolls) bit in the title so that this doesn't happen again?

Yours sincerly, Morgrim 07:19, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure how or where to report this but, you blocked LUCPOL (talk · contribs), and it appears he may be using a sockpuppet Hans Schwarc (talk · contribs). I wouldn't usually make this accusation, but this user only edits articles in which Lucpol is involved in edit was on, and always shows up when Lucpol needs a different user to advance the same agenda. --Wildnox 13:52, 6 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I can also give up cancelling his answers, but please stay alert, AlphaChimp. He's continuing to slander and provoke me. The data gathering will involve yourself recieving a questionaire on your talk page for you to fill out. I will then collect your questionaire & combine it with data from other editors. If you would like to be a part of this experiment, or know of someone who does, place a "Yes" or "No" below this message. At the risk of being blocked by a bureaucrat, this user is using a sig that looks like a copy of xaosflux's with the letters changed. It's not Essjay's sig, and it seems like a bureaucrat
  1. Could get around such a block
  2. Could undo admin blocks
  3. Would not threaten administrative revocation for something done in good faith
  4. Would give you more than four minutes before the threat
  5. Would realize when you haven't been here for six hours and can't respond

Alpha Phi Alpha vandal

An admin placed a semi protect on the page so that new or anonymous users could not edit the page, so the vandal created user ID NinjaNubian. He has begun vandalzing the page again. I have sent him the first warning level. Can you pls monitor and block his ID if he persist. You can review his talk page to see that other contributors have complained to him about vandalizing other pages. thanks for you help. Ccson 13:15, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

The same user is vandalizing the article again. He insists on changing words and sentences that promote his own POV. These words and sentences have survived a peer review and Featured Article review. He's accusing me of vandalizing by restoring the information I orginally added. Please review and ask him to stop changing the work of other editors. Ccson 06:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not referring to the content discussion on the talk page. He questions the word "swiftly" being used and wants to "later". He doesn't like the sentence "Alpha men were pioneers", because he disagrees that if they are pioneers. I supplied the reference which indicates Alpha men were vanguards (pioneers) and so he continues to change. This word and sentence has been in this article for over 6 months. Ccson 06:32, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Also, the references he provided conveniently only addresses the issues in this article. He changes the web site and then says its a valid source. We had a resolution discussion back in fall 2005, and that admin determined that the site was unreliable because it changed daily to counter any valid discussions that were oppostie of his. I am attempting to create an article about the musician Chris Rodler, but it says you delete it. I was just wondering why. If the extremely obscure wrestler Julio Fantastico can have an entry, why can't Chris Rodler who is on several albums?

Please let me know what I must do in order to create an article.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiawa77 (talkcontribs)

I don't understand what this means. He is on par with other folks who have articles; I'm just trying to contribute. What does your comment mean, and what do I need to do to create an article without having it immediately deleted? Kiawa77 01:39, 11 September 2006 (UTC)kiawa77Reply

207.200.116.8 user vandalizing my website?

Hello, I just started up a website called, www.supportgore.org, which has a form in which people can pledge their vote to Al Gore if he chooses to run in 2008. I built this site myself, but consider myself very inexperienced with programming, etc. I noticed that there was one person so far on the pledge list that had an offensive comment, so I looked at the IP address in my database, and then noticed that the same IP address appeared 4 different times in the list. I did a google search and found this, much to my unpleasant surprise. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do? Please respond to: supportgore@gmail.com. Thank You. ~Craig.

I'm so confused. What are you talking about? alphaChimp(talk) 02:31, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm assuming that an IP vandalised his public form list, and the IP has editted on wikipedia as well. –– Lid(Talk) 02:40, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ah, ok. A lot of IPs are shared. You really know as much as I do about it. Sorry. alphaChimp(talk) 03:55, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the fond farewell on 4 September. I have addressed it at my user talk page and furtherly disclosed information there. Also, it was my pleasure to vote in your favor for the RfA. Thank you, again. — `CRAZY`(lN)`SANE` [discl.] 03:58, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please take a look at this user. On the Alpha Phi Alpha and the kappa alpha psi pages, he has a history of reverting documented edits such as here for no valid reason. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kappa_Alpha_Psi&diff=75056898&oldid=75050135 He claims vandalism when it is a spelling error and does reverts rather than revises. References were provided. In a section where other fraternities were discussed thoroughly a reference and thorough sentence was provided. Disclaimer

Hi everyone. If this is your first time filling out a survey, read this. To fill out a questionaire sheet, simply send me a post to my talk page, clearly stating your choice for each answer. For example: For Question 1, you might choose to place on the message, "Q1: A)" or "Question 1: Choice A." etc etc. It's up to you, as long as I get the general jist of what your choices are. You have around 1 week to return a survey sheet, but late entrie's will be accepted.

Remember however, your personal choices may be read whilst they are on my talk page. I will understand if you don't wish to answer some or all of the survey due to this. For this reason I have also placed an "Abstain" choice for each question. Try & answer truthfully, or don't answer at all if you can't.

However, your personal choices will not be expressed on the survey's outcome, instead it will be part of a larger finding, such as "60% of people eat chocolate, 25% never eat chocolate & 5% of people chose to abstain from answering..." I will never say, "90% of people eat chocolate, while only Fruityman said he didn't..." This would be an invasion of privacy. However, if a question has (Please explain) or (Please elaborate) as a choice, your specific answer may be used in the survey outcome, although your name will not be. If a question does not have (Please explain) as a question choice, but your intended choice is not represented on the choice list, then feel free to provide another choice which fits your description.

You're probably getting bored reading all of this so I'll wrap up. To see outcomes of the results, see my Polls subpage. Feel free to comment on anything! Feedback is always welcome. Most importantly, have fun. Topics will vary greatly & surveys may be resent out at later times to re-assess a consensus if survey numbers have grown significantly. If you know anyone who would be interested in these surveys, send them to my talk page or if you see this survey sheet, send your own answers in! Thanks. -- Spawn Man.

Yet another person Vandalizing the Alpha Phi Alpha entry. As a new Wiki user, how do you police such activity? In trying to talk to the guy, all you get is nonsense back, with citiations to clearly biased material, including several Tripod pages. Sorry about the confusion...

Alphachimp,
I posted earlier about a potential hacker on my website. He has only posted one negative comment on my pledge list, but has also done a few other pledges on my list, some with positive comments. The reason I am writing to you is because the ip address is 207.200.116.8, which was supposedly involved in a major attack on wikipedia, which you were supposedly the main reverter of this attack. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Mboverload/vandalattack

All right, I am definitely a newbie when it comes to computers, websites, and programming. There was something mentioned on my previous post about this being a shared IP address? Does that mean it is probably not the same guy? It seems fishy to me that this same IP address is posting multipule pledges with nice and naughty comments. I just don't want this person (if it is the same one that sabotaged wikipedia) to do the same to my website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

page view help

I also posted this on my talk page ...

I am having technical issues with Covington Township, Michigan and similar pages.

1) I cannot click on the links in the Communities section 2) There are vertical lines where the geographical coordinates are || ||, and the text is unreadable.

I tried to remove the coordinates templates, and that solved the problem, but another user has restored them, and the problem has returned.

I also have a similar problem when trying to view other pages - I get more lines like //, which makes the text unreadable.

How do I fix this? Aeh4543 08:20, 13 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redirect for Emily Perry (English actress)

Hello AC - I've made a mistake and moved an article from Emily Perry (English actress) to Emily Perry (actress). Upon checking for double redirects, I found another article, Emily Perry, for a different Australian actress. Obviously, I've mucked things up. Could you please delete my erroneous redirect and move the new Emily Perry (actress) article back to Emily Perry (English actress). I would just repost the article there, but I can't do a history merge and I know it's important to keep that. Really, really sorry for the inconvenience. After you have fixed my screw up, I will create a proper disambiguation page at Emily Perry (actress), which is what I should have done in the first place. WP.CSD G1 - my page

I understand why Wikipedia would want to delete pages that are vandalism or whatever the reason may be. However, I am creating a page for myself for family and friends to view. The extended family I have around the world would love to see something like this. Also, I have every right to create something purely for entertainment and connectability. I would appreciate it if you could leave my page alone and let me go about my business. Keep an eye on the page if you like but their wont be any vandalism or slander or indecent material. Besides, you have pages related to Nazi's, Porn, and Violence. That alone is hate, sex, and crime put out their on the internet for everybody to see. My page will only be viewed by family.

Tx. for your time.

Interpromotional Organization Wrestling Federation (IOWF)

Alphachimp,

I'm writing in regards to the deletion notice I found on the page I created and have a question about it.

What type of scale are you using to determine the organization's notoriety?

Calling it "entirely non-notable" is highly inaccurate. There are hundreds of people in the city of Louisville as well as other parts of the state of Kentucky and Indiana that would disagree with that.

I'm not in 100% comprehension of the Wikipedia's policies so I cannot efficiently dispute the claim that this page "fails WP:ORG, WP:V, and WP:NOR". If we can come to an understanding on our notoriety dispute, is there a way I can edit the page to meet the criteria of the policies noted?

Thank you for your time.

Regarding your bot and replacing templates.

Hey, I'm somewhat new to Wikipedia. One thing I have noticed though is that when I place warning templates on people's talk pages, some bots often replace the templates with the actual words. Yours has done this (as can be seen here). I don't have a problem with this in the slightest, I was just curious as to why people's bots would actually change the template when it is fine as it is? You recently deleted a artical named Render - Fuji Co. My reasons for having this page up are 1. so that render fans my use it to check dates and times of up coming concerts and 2. because only render fans and members would ever see it so it would be out of sight and mind... plz comply - Fuji...

p.s. this is not a whole bunch of junk to add to wikipedia, just so you know that im not trying to spam you or anything... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fujitakeout (talkcontribs)

Read This Chimp/Chump - Whatever

Read the following first. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Please_do_not_bite_the_newcomers

Then stop biting me and my page. Show that you have at least the simplest modicum of respect for the territory and the preferences of others. Thus far you have simply shown that you are rude, immature, and not too subtle when it comes to communication. Then read my personal pages again and show some respect for me and my wishes. Such things take great precedent over all else, IMHO, which you ought to respect as well. Janniejdoe 20:24, 17 September 2006

  • Janniejdoe - how is it that you won't tolerate civil commentary on your own talk page but you're more than willing to dish it out on others' talk pages? That smacks of hypocrisy. You're just being so rude to User:Alphachimp right now - Alison 06:23, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Civility Warning

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks!

I've been reviewing your pattern of recent edits and see a lot of comments that could be interpretted as extremely incivil. I'd encourage you to assume good faith on the part of other editors, particularly in the maintenance of this talk page and your responses to other users on both their talk pages and in AfDs. Thank you :). alphaChimp(talk) 05:25, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Warning Removal

Please do not remove legitimate warnings from your talk page or replace them with inappropriate content. Removing or maliciously altering warnings from your talk page will not remove them from the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted legitimate comments. If you continue to remove or vandalize legitimate warnings from your talk page, you will lose your privilege of editing your talk page. Thanks. alphaChimp(talk) 05:29, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest that you lay off my personal talk page ....

Like anyone who actually understood what it means to be civil and polite, which you apparently do not.

Lee Pryor article

I was composing a biographical article about Lee Pryor, a business man in New Orleans, LA. I saw that it was deleted shortly after I created this article, but I wanted to know why. Did it violate the code of advertising an individual? This article is not for advertising purposes- I am aiming to write it as a neutral third party. Please let me know what I can do to modify this biographical article so that it is acceptable.Leepryor 19:00, 18 September 2006 (UTC)HilaryReply

NinjaNubian/Mykungfu AGAIN

The user has used various IDs and IPs such as Bobbydoop, Mikeandike,User talk:152.163.100.130, User talk:64.131.205.160, User talk:68.175.26.54. Having been blocked before, the NinjaNubian ID was only created about 2 weeks, after the Alpha Phi Alpha article was semi-protected so that anonymous or newly registered users could not edit the article. After about 7 days when the ID was no longer new, he began his vandalism and revert war again. The user then created another ID Mykungfu saying he lost his password to NinjaNubian. Since admin attention was brought to the ID Mykungfu via an AfD and RfC, the user has used anonymous IP addresses to revert and remove the AfD template on the page Alpha Kappa Nu as well as comments on the discussion page[15] and comments on the AfD itself[16]. User has also used Anonymous IPs to remove dispute templates from article Sigma Pi Phi.[17] Mykungfu's edits under anon IP are traceable.[18] -Robotam 20:37, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • As he has begun editing and reverting my talk page, User:Mykungfu now claims that he is being reported because of an "edit war." Unfortunately, the only person warring is User:Mykungfu. Everyone else is either ignoring him or reporting clear violations by User:Mykungfu, per wiki policy. Article Alpha Phi Alpha was protected because of User:Mykungfu. When consensus is built on articles that he/she disagrees with, his MO is to flame the article or people's personal pages, and accuse everyone else of be a sockpuppet, even though he/she is the one that uses various anon IPs to do so, which are traceable to his/her ID. And when someone reports him/her, he simply breaks wiki policy by editing out their report (claiming they too are a "vandal" or "sockpuppet"), comments[19] or template (even on their own page)[20][21], as if no one investigating will read the history or logs to see what he is doing--or he tries to flame them by repeating their allegations back against them. His IP and ID's have been previously blocked; It was on the verge of being blocked again that he "lost" his password to NinjaNubian and created ID Mykungfu. No, I am not a sockpuppet of any form, but as I sign my name, I welcome any admin to verify both of our accounts. -Robotam 13:07, 19 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's clearly not a new account, so no point just giving a short block and then have to reblock if they return. Petros471 14:43, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I meant to say new user, not account, but it also happens to have been around a while and been vandalism only in that time. Petros471 14:44, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, external links should help people to find resources for further reading, shouldn't they. So what could be more helpful for further reading than a bibliography? I don't see a problem here. Same thing has been done on other wikipedias, and nobody had a problem with it. Undeleted userpages

Hey, when the deletion reason is "Contained private information posted here by a banned user evading his block", don't just undelete the entire page history with the private information intact, okay? --Cyde Weys 00:08, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I checked the revisions and couldn't find any private info. I removed the 3 revisions that could have been from a blocked user. If you see any revs that reveal sensitive info, please delete them. alphaChimp(talk) 00:09, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I guess it's not obvious what the bad information is if you don't know what you're looking for. Let me go sanitize it. Needless to say, ILP hasn't been doing anything productive in awhile now; his sole activities seem to be agitating for Nathan to be unblocked, which, of course, is never going to happen. --Cyde Weys 00:11, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
That seems fine to me. I honestly spent 20 minutes checking the page for anything that seemed awry, and I found nothing. I contacted ILP and asked him for any personal info diffs. But please, if you find anything, delete away. I just want him to have a userpage. alphaChimp(talk) 00:13, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Just look at the diffs I've deleted. It should be quite obvious, at the least, that nothing productive was going on. --Cyde Weys 00:15, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Need your comment on a situation

On Nigel McGuinness, real name Steven Haworth, there is a dispute including myself and other editors against TrishBunkey (talk · contribs) over listing of the real name of the professional wrestler in question. The real name is sourced and verifiable with Trish, who appears to be the webmaster of McGuinness's website, citing privacy issues while I'm citing Wikipedia is not censored (though that probably doesn't cover this case) and precedents such as Criss Angel. Tracy, who is in violation of WP:3RR, is unwavering. Could you give a comment on the situation? –– Lid(Talk) 01:49, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you and sort of related is this dispute over Wrestlemania III over the dispute of attendance. The official numbers have long been disputed but 3bulletproof16 (talk · contribs) keeps removing the entire thing quoting the "status quo" while i'm stating that the dispute is known and even when I do provide sources he "trumps" it with a website from 100megs4u.com. –– Lid(Talk) 02:34, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Ah I now know why he keeps removing the whole thing, a lot of fans don't like Dave Meltzer and his opinion of the man is that of any other internet blogger, even though this information predates blogs as it was written in 1987 and the mans been doing wrestling journalism for twenty years now. –– Lid(Talk) 02:38, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello there. I noticed that you'd proposed the Hey Gravity article for deletion. I was hoping that this wasn't going to go ahead as I read the criteria for band inclusion and Hey Gravity match it on several points. They also contain a member of Dodgy who were an important band from the 90s.

Nigel McGuinness and User:TrishBunkey

Another admin unblocked her, saying that by inserting his real name we were violating WP:LIVING. I don't know. If you can help, great. This situation just needs to be resolved. In my opinion it'll be a sad, sad day if this all falls through. Tromboneguy0186 22:14, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

This has gotten really bizarre [22], Talk:Nigel_McGuinness#Personal information. The other admin has now locked the entire article and removed the real name citing "WP:DICK, WP:NOT and WP:LIVING". The admin also deleted TJ Spyke (talk · contribs)'s userpage due to it having McGuinness' real name listed. This is getting out of hand. –– Lid(Talk) 23:21, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Now every page that listed his real name has been deleted from the history, this is no longer "getting", it is now simply out of hand. –– Lid(Talk) 23:57, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
This sets a really really bad precedent, its choosing to remove public information (not private) and hiding it from ever having been mentioned. Can it ever be re-inserted? What if other locations pick up the name and wikipedia becomes the anomaly without it? It's times like this I wish wikipedia is not censored applied to more than pornography. –– Lid(Talk) 00:05, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I can understand wanting to avoid legal qualms, but I don't see how it applies here as the records are entirely public. Unless I am mistaken using public records could not cause any hassles whatsoever. –– Lid(Talk) 00:13, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
This case needs more input, as you stated the line has been drawn way too close. It hasn't even gone through any channels yet, not even a note on WP:AN, or WP:RFC. Such a large change and incident should have more than one admin (the other one) dictating the policy and really needs a lot more input. The most suprising thing about this incident is the silence behind it. I just think therere needs to be more input on this. –– Lid(Talk) 00:23, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I saw that page but it still falls under the argument of input, apart from dubhagan who only asked the question the only person who gave input was FCYTravis (talk · contribs) with nothing else before judgment was handed down. Also the population of the biography noticeboard is much lower than that or WP:AN or WP:ANI so getting a better discussion was unlikely. Really I just think this should be posted elsewhere before being swept under the carpet. –– Lid(Talk) 00:33, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
I don't care if it takes us nowhere, I just wish for a simply more well rounded discussion. It can be completely one-sided against me and I still won't mind because all I want is more input. The current straw situation is just too small to get a cohesive point to what should've been done. Please just help me out here with this, even if I get crucified for it (yeah like that's going to happen) at least I'll know we had a proper discussion with multiple sources on it. We've already got one wikipedian leaving and one blocked, both for the same reason, and I'm still not convinced that reason is a strong enough point yet. I just want a larger discussion forum. I've been keeping a level head and being civil about this because I can understand the other side, but being told to simply drop it in the face of what I believe, and near as I can tell all wikipedian policy believes, is just wrong. The reason I'm asking you instead of posting it myself is because you carry more weight than I do and I know you agree with me. If I were an admin I would've posted this already, but I am not and have never been nominated or gotten a barnstar heh, but you are and one of the best ones. Please just create a discussion. –– Lid(Talk) 00:43, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thank you and now if I get steamrolled so be it. –– Lid(Talk) 01:16, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Wow just re-read that big block of text I just posted, the grammar I used in that is horrible and the sentence structure is just as bad. I really need to start proof reading posts on talk pages more often, especially as I proof read my posts elsewhere for grammar and spelling mistakes as well as fixing structure. Yes this has nothing to do with the debate at hand but wow, that's just terrible writing on my part. 01:57, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

It'd set a bad precedent if more than 4 people knew about it. This is out-and-out bullshit. When one individual can dictate what we can and cannot do here, despite time-honored policy and verifiable, factual information to the contrary, this operation isn't worth its circuits. Tromboneguy0186 00:15, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

You said you could block my account? Please do so. I don't even want to be able to log back on Tromboneguy0186 02:30, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Update, the debate still rages with me getting near accused of committing original research by using the glossary of the USPTO website as well as a secondary source interview being found however now the reliability of the secondary source is in debate. I'm glad this discussion is still going but it's a back and forth battle with no side getting a real foothold (well now there's a secondary source but even that may be thrown out as original research due to connections). –– Lid(Talk) 04:52, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

You blocked me for 16 hours for the 3 RR on Anousheh Ansari article. You blocked me because user Siobhan Hansa said in Administrators' noticeboard/3RR this: Comments:User was blocked briefly for the same behavior on the same artice on 2006-09-20 and the page protected (see #User:Machocarioca_reported_by_User:alidoostzadeh_.28Result:_protected.29). The changes he is making are strongly contested on the talk page and The image he is trying to insert is the same as one that has been deleted by admins on several occassions as a copyright violation. You blocked me without earing my side, what in my opinion is not justice, not the work of an administrator.

The point is, if you want to read that article: The assert that Ansari is first female tourist in space is a POV. There are press sources too, saying she's only the first who paid the ticket, not the first one. See here [23]. Britton Helen Sharman was the first one in 1991, as you can see in her article. She was a civilian selected in a kind of lottery to be the first UK citizen in space. Of course she didn't pay for the trip, but to be a tourist we don't need pay the ticket, we can win it, right? Then, the assert "first female tourist" is not exact. I said that and changed that assert.

1. I was never before blocked before for this matter. Briefly or longer, as this user is saying.

2. This user Siobhan Hansa suggested, as a consense, in the talk page, the words The first space tourist to have passionately pursued the development of private space flight." Himself proposed that. I did it. He and a mad guy named Hektor reverted. Can you believe? I did what the user proposed and himself went to Administrators' noticeboard/3RR with my name for you! Of couse I reverted again, it was proposed by himself!. And of course the assert "first tourist female" can´t stay there.

2. About the image, which is the official photograph of Ansari in NASA site: They're nuts. He and user Hektor are talking the image I uploade is unfree. As you can see here [24] this image was uploaded from NASA biography of the astronaut and is use free and public domain , as dozen of another one's from astronauts that are placed in the articles about them here. These guys are nuts. The old image I uploaded (the same) wasn´t deleted by any administrator, but by a unkown IP, maybe a sockpuppet, I don´t know. As you can see in my talk page, administrator Gwernol never deleted that image, but others, in the same article. I didn´t uploaded the images he deleted.

3. The question now is: If you blocked me, what are you going to do with these users, specially with this mad Hektor, who insists in delet the free image and tag it as copyrighted?

And I can´t agree with "first female tourist in space", it can´t stay there, isn't exact, I'm a serious space exploration student and I have a close contact with copyrights.

Finally

I finally figured it out. Look, before we start anything else, I'm not a troll or a sock. I do honestly love the admins that are here and I want to show gratitude towards them by showing how incredibly awesome they are. I thought about it real hard the last few days, but I think Alphachimp, Crzrussian, Yanksox, and Tyrenius are like the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. They will kick yo ass and you won't know what happened. Of course, this leaves the opening for Bill. I think it's pretty damn obvious who Bill is, none other than Samir. Unblock

I was blocked due to two users with obvious bias deleting my edits. They were going to the web sight more than I was so they should have been prevented. My edits were backed up.

Are they going to be blocked from editing? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.188.116.74 (talkcontribs)

I have no idea what you're talking about. alphaChimp(talk) 17:06, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mr. Lefty's RfA thanks

Hi, Alphachimp, and thanks for supporting me in my recent request for adminship, which succeeded with a final tally of 70/4/4. I hope I can live up to your expectations, and if there's ever anything you need, you know where to find me! --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 00:16, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well well

I think what I wrote about Clift was perfectly reasonable. what's a fact? what's an opinon? If I say she's ugly as sin or screeches like a whore being ass raped, is that fact or opinion?

I don't appreciate your tone in general.

[25]But, you're tone is awesome in comparison! Yanksox 03:52, 26 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Need Assistance

Hi! I may need an urgent help for editing one of the pages in Wikipedia. Since I have added a subtitle in "Queen's College, Hong Kong". One of the users frequently put my name on it that I purpose to put the information on it. Unfortunately, he/she also puts the name of the place where I study at. This user used multiple IPs which I cannot band them all. I don't know can it be considered as defamation. I hope you would suggest me ways to solve the problem, thanks. Merge by Months

Wow, your bot has been busy. This really helps a lot, especially for future merges, thanks. Now if only there was a way to divide the september entries by date. But otherwise we just have to work hard to clean it all up, works too. :) Garion96 (talk) 11:36, 27 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I usually use Tor, but it's usually blocked from editing on WikiMedia wikis. I went to look something up on Tor and saw I wasn't logged in but had new messages. I was brought to User talk:80.237.173.67. To be consistent with policy, permanently block 80.237.173.67.—a thing 04:43, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Funny, but it seems to me that someone who is new to Wikpedia would not know how to post an unblock request within 50 seconds of being blocked. I think he's an experienced vandal. --ArmadilloFromHell 06:14, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

blocking?

I have received this message and am unaware of what exactly it is. I have never visited these pages, or even thought of doing such vandalism. I understand if this wasn't by purpose, but I'm not sure what is going on. Thank you

My message: This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to Optic recess, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Alphachimp talk 02:47, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Please do not change "Lienbow" to "Alianbow" in articles for Power Rangers. The name was shown to be spelled as "Lienbow" at the end of the newest episode. Ryūlóng 00:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Ryūlóng 00:40, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

You have AOL, which is frequently blocked for short durations due to heavy vandalism. I wouldn't worry about it. alphaChimp(talk) 01:37, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Comment on user page

Hello. Since you are an experienced admin, I thought that I could ask if you could make a comment about this user page. Looks like blatant spam, is there something supposed to be done about it? Best regards.--Húsönd 03:21, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future

Hello, I am trying to post information about the Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future at Illinois Institute of Technology. I have premission from the Institute on Biotechnology and the Human Future to post information from their website about their activities and research. My article keeps getting deleted, I think because some of the content matches the IBHF website. How can I prove to Wikipedia that I have permission to use their website information? Thank you for your assistance, I'm new at this! --- Jonrhodes18

Another instance of Nigel McGuinness' real name

Since you were prominently involved in the whole schpiel (especially in the removal of the edits inserting his name), I wanted to bring this up for you: link I've reverted the edit, but the anon included the name in the edit summary. -->So sayeth MethnorSayeth back|Other sayethings

can we have an article on E-Choupal please ?
