Hello, Cyndisource, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Your weblinks in Cyndi Lauper articles edit

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. We do not need dozens of links to your website. Most of the articles you created have only a few words of content, and seem to be merely an excuse to post the link. Song Articles edit

We do not need an article for every single Cindy Lauper song. It's reasonable to create an article for an album, but one for every song seems a bit excessive. Thank you. alphaChimp(talk) 23:38, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

How do you figure that I wrote an article for every song? My posts were 100% relevant and provided links to lyrics & album information because the sites you link to are dead links!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyndisource (talkcontribs)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.

Removing dead links is worthwhile, but I can't see any articles where you did so. Adding commercial links to your own site is inappropriate, especially doing so dozens of times. Fan-1967 15:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I am wondering why a site that is not even up yet is linked but I cant get mine linked. http://www.cyndilauper.us???

don't hesitate to remove dead links. Thanks! :) alphaChimp(talk) 05:56, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hrm. I'm not the most familiar with our guidelines on external links (other than obvious spamming). If you have time, check out WP:EL. alphaChimp(talk) 06:07, 18 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

2nd spam notice edit

Hello, and thanks for your contributions. Unfortunately, the link you added to Cyndi Lauper seems a bit like spam, and I've removed it. Please do not add commercial links, links to your own private websites, or unnecessary links to Wikipedia. Even if your link features a product or service directly related to the topic of the article, Wikipedia is not a business directory, a vehicle for advertising, or a collection of external links. You are welcome to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia, provided it is in keeping with our guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article please suggest it on the article's talk page, or drop me a line and we can discuss it. See the welcome page to learn more about contributing to Wikipedia. Thanks, and happy editing! Kafziel Talk 22:37, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

How can one website be spam. The site contains thousands of articles n Cyndi Lauper. I will not take part in wikipedia and agree with everyone else...this is a joke— Preceding unsigned comment added by Cyndisource (talkcontribs)

I'm sorry you feel that way. You're certainly entitled to your opinion, as long as you stop posting that link. Kafziel Talk 05:26, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
