Speedy deletion nomination of Monosuit edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Monosuit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on Monosuit, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

December 2010 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Monosuit. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Erpert (let's talk about it) 08:32, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in your being blocked from editing Wikipedia. Feezo (Talk) 09:06, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning; the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Monosuit, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Pol430 talk to me 09:30, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:37, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Monosuit edit

The article Monosuit has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability, no references or sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Safiel (talk) 17:35, 22 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have posted a topic on Monosuit and it has been deleted due to no references in text form. But this is the issue i am facing, as it is hard to find exact definition in text form but it is good enough in Picture format. So, at least we can use the text in wikipedia to narrate the picture and it will be useful for other people who want to know about monosuit type. I think editors in wikipedia will understand this and help me in this regard. --Alpen129 (talk) 07:24, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but I'm not in agreement. If the item is notable, it will have been discussed in many independent sources. A picture is not sufficient. I can't find any references other than a company product which may be trademarked, and is not consistent with the article as it stands. Without good references, I don't think it should stay.--SPhilbrickT 12:01, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HEBO-Mono-Suit-Worn-Dougie-Lampkin-/260689393226 . here is the reference, that This suit was worn by Dougie Lampkin in the 1998 World Trials Championships. and it is named as monosuit. please check whether this reference is acceptable. --Alpen129 (talk) 12:22, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme-helped}} See the topic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infant_bodysuit , how it has been approved without any reference stating the exact meaning for "Infant Bodysuit" . All referenced mentioned there are about it's marketing,brand,etc.,etc., None have the exact definition reference. --Alpen129 (talk) 12:27, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Assuming that the reason for your question relates to the deletion discussion of Monosuit, I think you should read What about article x?. Articles are not "approved"; there is no central committee or authority that reviews each article that is posted in a linear process. Articles are posted and users who come upon them may seek to improve them, question them, delete them, each editing by their own lights, but guided by policy. If you wish to question the verifiability of the definition of infant bodysuit (note how I made that link; no need for the url) you may do so in a number of ways, including adding a maintenance tag to the article indicating that it needs more thorough referencing, such as {{Refimprove}}. The real issue here is not one of exact definition for monosuit, but taking the article beyond a one sentence sub-stub with no references at all, which is its current state.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:11, 23 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have edited with references, even those are in the categories of UNDP. Please help to improve it to remove the deletion tag.

Since the article is at Articles for deletion, the tag on't be removed until the discussion closes, even if the article is improved. However, if those who are discussing the article at the AfD entry think that your changes warrant a Keep !vote, they will relate these opinions and the article will be kept. Speedy deletion nomination of Ravichandran actor edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ravichandran actor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Recreation of Monosuit edit

A tag has been placed on Monosuit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hang on}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Warning, and some Advice edit

As reviewing administrator, I I deleted it, for it was essentially the same as the deleted article. Please do not restore it again unless you can meet the problems; this would include having substantial references for notability as a distinctive type of clothing, references that are from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. ( And not copied from a web page or any other preexisting source. ) the sites of companies making or selling the product are not the necessary independent sources. ) I I've protected against reconstruction for 7 days. If you do think you have the sources, please ask me , or Spartaz, the admin who closed the AfD, before restoring it. DGG ( talk ) 00:32, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
