Hello, Abiredits, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:Abiredits/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Abiredits/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Abiredits/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from swf.org.au/festivals/2023-festival/podmania-crime-on-the-record. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcoming new editors to Wikipedia. And people in two careers, Only they want him in basketball & not investigative journalism!

edit

Be patient and accomedating to new editors to Wikipedia as we are learning the craft of editing wikipedia. Speedy deletion is not the welcome I was expecting! Abiredits (talk) 21:10, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I wholeheartedly agree with you here, but copyright violations are a problem that has legal consequences. Thus, your sandbox was deleted by necessity. Schminnte (talk contribs) 21:33, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

How I move The Australian Media Hall of Fame from the sand box?

edit

Hi, How I move The Australian Media Hall of Fame from the sand box? I included at least three media References & provided basic info. Thanks Abiredits (talk) 22:04, 28 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! If you want to move something from the sandbox, go to the "more" tab and then "move". However, I looked at your sandbox and at the moment I don't believe it is ready for article main space. I invite you to check out WP:ORG to find more information on how to make sure your draft is properly supported with outside references. :) ForsythiaJo (talk) 22:09, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanksfor the tips. Abiredits (talk) 22:45, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

June 2023

edit

Hello, I'm Tanbiruzzaman. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Melbourne Press Club—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. → Tanbiruzzaman 💬 22:20, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Australian Media Hall of Fame moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Australian Media Hall of Fame. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and the external links are bare URLs and there are no categories. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. BoyTheKingCanDance (talk) 02:58, 9 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Chip Rolley

edit

The article Chip Rolley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG and WP:BIO, tagged for notability since June with no improvement. All sources appear to be directly related to Rolley in one way or another. I couldn't find any sources online that qualified under WP:SIGCOV.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
