Newslaundry

edit

Hello, I'm DaxServer. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Newslaundry, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. -- DaxServer (talk) 22:53, 5 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I will provide citation Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 23:03, 5 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I noticed you made some further changes to the article. I have reverted the changes for now, and I had added the reasons on the talk page. I am reposting the same here for your convenience:

You added two more instances under the "Reception" section which was previously titled "Controversies". In the first instance that they have added (about the Central Vista Redevelopment Project), the user claims that the claims made by newslaundry were misleading (which is not corroborated by the citation). Furthermore, in the second addition (regarding the Sharjeel Usmani), the first line indicates an FIR against his tweet. Since this was not a newslaundry publication, placement of this information does not make sense in the article (especially as Reception of newslaundry). The same applies to the second statement. The speech seems to be personal and not an official publication from newslaundry, hence this does not fit in the article. Reverting for now, (please add more sources if reverted back again).

If you find further citations for the first issue, please add it back. The second issue seems to be irrelevant to the subject matter. Thanks! ShellPandey (talk) 09:42, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Vivek Agnihotri

edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Vivek Agnihotri, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 23:05, 5 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Vivek Agnihotri, you may be blocked from editing. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 00:46, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey,there was no citation provided which refers to Vivek Agnihotri associated with right wing Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 04:12, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

You need to provide a citation for this, I had provided a citation for my updation, if you can then please do otherwise you are you are all powerful why do you need genuine people like me trying to update and correct things. Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 04:14, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

That article is poorly written and poorly sourced, and it does not help if you are replacing content with POV material sourced to the article subject, or the sources from a BJP spokesperson as in your most recent edits. I did remove that sentence about him being "right wing" as it was poorly sourced, but you are adding sources that do not even mention the Agnihotri or support the sentences you are adding them to. Also, could you please stop marking your edits as "minor" because that has a very specific meaning, as per WP:MINOR. You can also read about how to indent your talk page comments at WP:TPG. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 04:45, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

I will not added any citations from any particular party spokesperson but the term right wing has no citations, so I think that shouldn't be existing there, I am apologize for those poor citations. I will try my best to improve the user quality and not deteriorate and mislead them. Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 04:52, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

What's wrong with the citation of Observer Research Foundation, this article is written by Niranjan Sahoo, PhD who is a Senior fellow with ORF's Governance and Politics Initiatives. The article is not targeting any political thought, any party then how come it violates Neutral Point of View Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 05:05, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

David Frawley

edit

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to David Frawley. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 07:35, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Okay so he getting Padma Bhushan is a my own personal analysis, President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations says something about Dr Frawley which I mention on his page is my personal review, please explain. Abhinavinternet 10001 (talk) 07:50, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Exactly what the message above says: "Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles [...]" You cannot add your personal analysis to Wikipedia. It must be sourced from reliable sources (Wikipedia:Reliable sources). You need to add content and citations in a neutral point of view. -- DaxServer (talk) 07:59, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
You added WP:PUFFERY and WP:UNDUE detail; this is an encyclopedia, not a free site for hagiography and promotion. As for this moment, your account is 13 (thirteen) hours ols, with 31 edits, and you've already received four warnings and a DS-alert. Continue like this, and your Wiki-participation will be finished very soon. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 08:35, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Abhinavinternet 10001, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole.
