D Henry Fenton Inquiry

Hello,

Regarding my D Henry Fenton entry, please let me know how Allmusic.com is not a credible reference. The subject has no relation to AllMusic in any regard. Please advise. User name 404 (talk) 04:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

One reference is not sufficient to affirm a subject's notability. You need to back it up with additional independent (and reliable) references.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:38, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Please inform me of other 'creditable' album credit websites other than AllMusic. Perhaps albumcredits.com? Which I can provide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User name 404 (talkcontribs) 04:49, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
You may look up for some news sources where the subject has been covered. Any local newspapers of repute (or their websites), but not blogs, etc. may be sufficient.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
News outlets printing album credits. Really? Please elaborate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User name 404 (talkcontribs) 04:57, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Hasn't your subject been covered by any newspaper to-date??--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Sure, but not relating to Mitch Easter or Steve Holroyd which I am referencing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User name 404 (talkcontribs) 05:01, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
You need to be sure first what you are creating. The title seems to be referring to a person 'D Henry Fenton' and not to his specific works. I guess creating an article for the subject 'D Henry Fenton' might be useful. For reference of how a page might be, you may have a look at Davidson Brothers.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Yes. A musician. Who's body of work is based on recordings, which are produced by others. Hence the references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User name 404 (talkcontribs) 05:11, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
To end the discussion, you may look at my above discussion and try to add up more details backed up by independent references to the subject in order to stand a chance of getting it approved.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for being so vague. Much appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User name 404 (talkcontribs) 05:19, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
I guess I could have been even more vague. Tried to help but ......... Anyways, best of luck with your article.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
The idea of your place in the Wikipedia realm is to 'guide' with specifics. Going forward I have no better idea of how to write articles then I did when I first signed up. Just my opinion of course. User name 404 (talk) 05:39, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello Alam - Can you guide me?

Hi Alam,

Thank you for taking the time to read over my submission for the proposed "Robert E. Bartholomew" Wikipedia page. I am wondering if you could give me a specific example of where I need to add a reliable source. I was worried that my original submission may have been overly referenced, so I removed many of the citations when I did the rewrite. Best wishes. Bob — Preceding unsigned comment added by RobertB 12th (talkcontribs) 00:14, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

You need to add references to the first and second paragraphs of the article. Also, look at some of the well-written articles on Wikipedia and adapt to the formatting styles. Do not reference at the end of the paragraph, try to reference within the paragraph for individual lines. In order to affirm the notability of the subject, you also need to cite references independent of the subject (may include newspapers' references or online news websites, but not blogs and self publications).--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:47, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Singing Adams page

HI

thanks for the advice! I've added citations from BBC and other reliable sources as per the guide you sent. The new page is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Singing_Adams. Many thanks. --Wired79 (talk) 15:17, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Your article has now been accepted. Try to add more details to the subject and improve the quality of the article.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:48, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carl Van biography

Hi Abdullah,

Thanks for letting me know specifically the issue with Carl Van. The biography is taken directly from his books and cited (it is also listed in a few insurance training sites). Is there a reason why I would need to go and reverify a biography that is already published several times? I'd really like to get this approved and move on. thanks! --Openallnite (talk) 14:48, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

I believe you will have to reference independent and reliable sources for it. Own publications may not be enough to affirm the subject's notability. Anyway, you can again put it up for review and let it be assessed by some other reviewer. Let's see how he/she goes about it.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:49, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Visual QR Codes article

Hi Alam, Thanks for reviewing my article about Visual QR Codes. By your request i have entered several relevant cites from different web press locations. Please let me know if they are ok our if theres something more i should add. Thanks!--Uriel Peled (talk) 17:08, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

I have added a 'citation needed' tag at the first paragraph. Also, you need to give some more details to the article. From how it stands at the moment, the reader does not get much of a clue about the subject. Anyways, this is what I felt; other reviewers may have a different viewpoint. That is why, I did not decline it this time; it is open for review. But still I believe others may also ask for the same.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:43, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
OK, will continue to add and improve the content thanks a lot.--Uriel Peled (talk) 07:12, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi Alam,
I've added more cites from different sources about the penetrations and uses of QR Codes in the marketing and advertisment industries, and also a short remark on how people can make Visual QR Codes if they wish to. Please tell me if it is ok and what else is needed for the article. Thanks!, Uriel.--Uriel Peled (talk) 13:29, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
I do not see any changes made to the article. At least the history of the article is not suggesting anything, neither could I pick much from the article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Visual_QR_Codes --Abdullah Alam (talk) 15:52, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/ConfluenceWorldSchool

Dear Alam,

Thanks for taking time to review the submission 'Confluence World School'.

In my last edit to the submission, I had provided a link to the school website which has scanned newspaper articles - more than 20 of them. These newspapers include The Times of India supplements (The Times of India is a newspaper of national repute in India), Amar Ujala, Dainaik Jagran (again newspapers of regional repute in the state of Uttarakhand in India) plus a few local newspapers. The only issue is that these papers are not available online (in case of The Times of India, the supplement Kumaon Plus is not available online), thus the articles cannot be referenced online, and thus have been scanned and put online in the school website itself. Would request you to check the hyperlinks on the following url: http://www.confluence.edu.in/news.aspx. As per my understanding and my experience of writing wikipedia articles, these offline sources should suffice for ensuring the notability of the subject as these are multiple sources - all of them credible newspapers in their own right. I would request you to please guide me on the same. -- PC0001 (talk) 18:12, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

I do not think that these references might suffice. Anyways, this is my personal opinion, you can put it up for review again and let's see what other reviewers think about it. But before resubmitting, there are some other relevant issues that you need to consider. Your article is not written in a tone required of an encyclopedia article. You need to rewrite it with a neutral tone. You also have to avoid peacock terms in the article. Remove sections like Vision and Mission as it is not the prospectus. These are some of the issues that other reviewers will point out when you resubmit.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:20, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

All these articles about vert skating are very preliminary in nature. You need to enhance them in order to stand a chance to have them approved. Back up your subjects by adding more details to them and adding independent (and reliable) references to them. These references may be from newspapers or online reports (but not blogs) where your subjects have been covered. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:36, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/David Wetherill

Hi Abdullah,

Thanks for taking the time to review my article I proposed. It was the first time I had submitted an article, so I expected something to pass by me and end up with a big fat decline! I'm glad you pointed out for me what it was (too essayish), and hopefully have rectified it. You're a patient man. John -- Copywriterjohn (talk) 16:57, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

I personally feel that the article is still not up to the mark. Anyways, I will leave it to other reviewers to review it this time. But frankly speaking, I am not hopeful. You need to look at some of the other Wikipedia articles on relevant subjects and try to adapt to their style of presenting the information. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 17:04, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for that feedback.
Just so you know, I'm not writing about myself or anybody I know personally, just somebody I felt there should be a wikipedia article about, so I'm not trying to dress anything up and any tips that help me write the article in a manner that is both impartial and acceptable is taken on-board. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Copywriterjohn (talkcontribs) 14:23, 30 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi Abdullah,

Thank you for your feedback. As per your notes I have added JSTOR citation sources. I re-read the guidelines, and believe that there are enough sources present in the article. Dear Abdullah,

Whilst I thank you for the time and dedication in going through my article, it would be of great help If you could give me more guidance with regards to my article "Articles_for_creation/Malta_Arise_Front". This is my first contribution to Wikipedia and would be grateful if you could help me out by specifying further your comments. Are there any parts of the article in particular that require amendments? Thanks you. [Re your comment -This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. You need to add sections to the article, otherwise it does not look like an encyclopedia subject. You may look at some of the other well-written Wikipedia articles to have a feel of the formatting required for the article. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 11:53, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jacqulyn Buglisi

Alam,

Thank you for looking over the submission, I extremely appreciate your time. My application for Jacqulyn Buglisi was denied due to insufficient sources. I wrote this article with Jacqulyn Buglisi so I feel this is a problem that can be fixed if I edit a few Details. If you could please help clarify what I need to get this published that would be appreciated. I feel I Have all that is needed to provide a strong article I am just not clear on which direction to take and what errors We made during this creation. Thank you again and more soon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.252.50.69 (talk) 11:32, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

I have now added the 'citation needed' tags where a reference would likely be desired. The reference list in the article contains 4 references at present, out of which 2 refer to the subject's own website. The required references need to be independent of the source. The other two references are good. Try to get 'independent' references at the mentioned places. Also, you may consider making sections of your article so that it presents a better look. The infobox also needs to be updated with date of birth and other things (check other existing pages with similar subjects).--Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:46, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Abdullah,
I hope this finds you well. I have reviewed your comments and took a sufficient amount of time revising the article so it meets the criteria needed for your website's standards. I hope I was able to meet what you have asked and hope to see the article on the live web soon. You need to add sections to the article, otherwise it looks more or an essay than an encyclopedia article. Avoid the use of peacock terms in the article. I see that your article is now presented for review. I am leaving it this time for other reviewers to have a look at it and see if they agree with it. But to be fair to you, I am not much hopeful that it would be accepted at this point of time. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 12:14, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bob Brillante

Good morning, Abdullah, Please advise about what kind of additional sources you would recommend in order to have the article on Bob Brillante accepted. Thank you. --Danabrillante (talk) 15:15, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

I have now added 'citation needed' tags at places where a reference should be provided. Keep in mind that the reference has to be unrelated to the subject i.e., independent of the subject. I have also marked some paragraphs for deletion. You may consider removing them as they are mostly repetition of things. I have also suggested an alternate name for a section. Also, try to use the in-built reference citation method so that the references are according to the format provided; they currently aren't. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 16:12, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
I see your notations and suggestions. Thank you for the clarification. I will add the recommended citations and make edits according to your instructions. Then I will resubmit for review. I appreciate your assistance! --Danabrillante (talk) 16:54, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
Hello, Abdullah, I am writing to request your assistance with another editor who is making egregious, unwarranted, and factually untrue edits to the article about Bob Brillante and a linked article about Florida's News Channel. This editor removed content and references. Since I am new to Wikipedia's community of editors, would you please advise me about what course of action to take? Thank you for your assistance.--Danabrillante (talk) 20:11, 1 November 2012 (UTC)Danabrillante
You can always undo the unwarranted and undesired changes by going the 'history' tab of the article. If you feel that the changes made by Qworty (talk), who seems to be a senior editor to me, are 'egregious, unwarranted, and factually untrue' as you mentioned them; you can post it on his talk page and discuss the matter. You can also post on the talk page of the article regarding any issues with the article. If still your issue is not resolved, let me know. I will tell you the alternate way of resolving conflicts among editors. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 11:46, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Johnny Angel - Musician Page

Hi Abdullah, I have reviewed your review and still can't find the issue with my references. There are 9 links to the verifiable information, almost all of which is from third party articles about Johnny Angel Wendell. None of it violates any copyrights. I have read everything available on the topic and I still haven't found anything that violates (or doesn't follow) the guidelines. I would like to have this submission approved so that I may also have the page name changed to the more correct "Johnny Angel Wendell" as per the Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks.Toodell (talk) 17:47, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

The 9th reference from youtube is not considered a good reference at Wikipedia. Many of the sections in the article are without any references. I guess you need to shrink (remove unreferenced content) your article or provide some more references for those unreferenced sections. Anyways, this is what I think. If you feel otherwise, you can again put it up for review and let other reviewers decide for it. By the way, I have now moved your page and renamed it as "Johnny Angel Wendell", although it is still not accepted. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:00, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Ah, Ok I get it now. I need to attach the references at every point it is used. And removing the youtube video is no big deal either, not a problem, I didn't know Wikipedia's opinion of such. I will make these changes and resubmit. Btw, thank you for moving the page as well. But I do have a question.. how do I resubmit after making changes? The submit link doesn't show up any more.Toodell (talk) 02:31, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
After you are done with your changes, have a look at the 'rejection box' of the first reviewer on your article (below mine). There you will find a line 'You are encouraged to make improvements by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the top of this page. When you are ready to resubmit, click here'. Click there and it will be resubmitted. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:10, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

MIMS Ireland

I'm resubmitting my MIMS Ireland entry, but I'm afraid it might be rejected again because of lack of independent references. MIMS is a widespread used medical guide for doctors in Ireland ( for long was the only one), and every single doctor in Ireland knows about it, but it is hard to find references for it (and not sure what kind of references?) The Irish Medical Times and MIMS (UK) both have an entry in Wikipedia without real external references either, so what's the difference? I also tried to have an entry that does not look like an essay (I changed the 'origin' part for that purpose), but I'm not sure again if that will be enough as the only reference is an article published in the Irish medical Times and republished on an health website (this one is independent though. It is frustrating though not to be able to get an entry for this very well known medical reference when both MIMS UK and Irish Medical Times seems to be there without particular reference requirements! Mcmousseau (talk) 16:10, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

I have now added 'citation needed' tags at 2 places. Try to get some independent ones in this regard. Also, I have added two comments, you can read them. As far as your concern about other related articles present on Wikipedia not fulfilling the requirements, I can not say on other reviewers' behalf. But sometimes, reviewers feel that the article is worthy (although not supported by highly independent references) and approve the article with marking it as a 'stub' or a 'start class' article which can then be enhanced afterwards. In your case, 3 of the reviewers have declined the submission, so none found it to be acceptable at this point. I will advise to work on my suggested points, hopefully you will make it through.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 01:29, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback. I tried to amend as suggested and included examples of pieces with educational grants that were also published on MIMS Ireland website. I cannot really go beyond that to give examples of companies as they are so many which each month support MIMS Ireland with ads and there is no basis to select only a few. (Note: MIMS UK wikipedia entry has the exact same statement regarding pharmaceutical industry support without giving any examples either).Mcmousseau (talk) 12:12, 12 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello Abdullah Alam,

Thank you for reviewing my draft article at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:William_Swan_Sonnenschein

In your note on why you declined the article you wrote:

"This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage about the subject in reliable sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Perseus25#Your_submission_at_Articles_for_creation:_William_Swan_Sonnenschein_.28August_26.29

and also you added the comment: "The submission needs to have more independent references added to it."

I have now added a number of extra independent citations from books published by major British and U.S. publishing companies to the draft to help establish notability, including:

  • Who Was Who 1929-1940: A Companion to Who's Who, Containing the Biographies of Those Who Died During the Period 1929-1940, London: Adam & Charles Black, 1967.
  • Ann Parry, "Swan Sonnenschein Limited; Swan Sonnenschein and Allen; Swan Sonnenschein, Lowrey and Company; Swan Sonnenschein and Company", in: Patricia Anderson and Jonathan Rose, ed. British Literary Publishing Houses, 1820-1880. Vol. 106 of: Dictionary of Literary Biography, Detroit: Gale, 1991.
  • Richard Aldington, Richard Aldington: An Autobiography in Letters. Norman T. Gates, ed. Pennsylvania State University Press, 1992.
  • Frank Arthur Mumby and Frances Helena Swan Stallybrass, From Swan Sonnenschein to George Allen & Unwin Ltd. London: Allen & Unwin, 1955.

I have also added a photograph from the series "Heads of Famous Publishing Houses" in the Illustrated London News, 6 November 1909.

I have added a reference to a New York Times review of Sonnenschein's bibliography, "The Best Books". http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9A00E4D71E39E333A25754C2A96E9C946196D6CF

Finally, I have added citations for almost every paragraph, an extra item in the Further Reading section, and a list of books edited by the subject.

Would you please have another look at my draft article and let me know what you think?

Hi, I wanted to know how I can make this article better. Are the references not notable enough? I figured Forbes, TechCrunch would be good enough sources. If there are aspects that are too promotional, can you let me know what they are specifically so I can revise them? Thanks so much for the work you do!

Adding a few more independent references would help. In case there are no further independent references available, you can put it up again for review with the same content and another editor will see if the submission passes notability guidelines. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 06:07, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello

As you said Page DJ KAMAL MUSTAFA is not notable after all i have shared IMDB , 3 magazine sites interview , THE DJ LIST , i've been mentioned in CNN IBN and mentioned by celebrities and those videos are on youtube too then why the page is not notable ??? you only approve those page who have guardian , new york times or bbc mentioned ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by EmraanHashmiNawab (talkcontribs) 09:50, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

To start, your submission was an autobiography. See WP:AB for more details. Secondly, your submission was deleted number of times by various editors because of notability and relevant issues and a new draft page was made after deletion. Thirdly, just for my information, who approved the draft submission? --Abdullah Alam (talk) 06:12, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

I just made another edit adding a featured article by the #1 Hip Hop Blog site. Please explain to me what you are looking for exactly. There is clear notoriety from a variety of prominent hip hop sites, news, local and national articles and internationally renowned artists themselves quoted talking about Edsclusive. Please provide an example if you can of what will be accepted. The last edit by David Moreno was removing Soundcloud from a reference. That has been done.

You need to add more independent and reliable references (as pointed out by the other reviewer) to the submission in order to establish its notability.--Abdullah Alam (talk) 06:16, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Can you be more specific on what is advertising about the page? The centre is the largest neuroscience research institute in Belgium, so it is notable. I assume the page doesn't need to be perfect before it opens...

One can start by adding some more independent third-party references to the submission. Also, I think the details of laboratories can be excluded from the submission. You can always put it up for review again in case you do not agree with the decision. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 09:59, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Request on 10:22:33, 2 September 2016 for assistance on AfC submission by Bfcsfletch

Dear Mr Abdullah Alam, This morning I submitted an article about Birmingham Festival Choral Society, of which I am a member. You have reviewed this article and concluded, 'This submission seems to be a test edit and not an article worthy of an encyclopedia.'

I would be very grateful if you could indicate what I have done wrong. Our choir has a distinguished history, having been founded in 1843, and in my short article there are cross-references to many other entries in Wikipedia, such as the Birmingham Triennial Festivals and famous conductors such as Henry Wood and Adrian Boult.

I look forward very much to hearing from you, as this is the first time I have submitted an article, and I would appreciate constructive advice.

Bfcsfletch (talk) 10:22, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

The submission may be notable but as has been mentioned in the comment on the submission, it needs independent, third-party and reliable references added to it. Currently, the article has no such references. You can go through Help:Referencing for beginners in order to know more about it. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 10:28, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Andres Salazar Article

Hello Abdullah. I'm writing in regards to the Andres Salazar article that was declined because of its references. The references I cited were interviews with the actor. I also included an IMDB. I've read the guidelines, but I'm still not sure what else besides the material I used, could qualify the entry. Please advise.

Thanks Bigboho — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigboho (talkcontribs) 17:32, 2 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello, thanks for reviewing so quickly first of all, I will edit the referencing I did not check the red tabs so thank you. I just want to ask why certain Chinese websites which serve as references may not be deemed credible? There is very little in English regarding the subject I am writing about, however there is plenty of Chinese information on it. Will referencing Chinese websites be hindering my submission?

Thanks again.

No, referencing Chinese websites will not hinder the acceptance if these are independent and third-party coverage of the subject. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 06:23, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello sir,

This my first submission, I tried to read about the citation but got confused. can you please help what changes I need to do in this article, because I am posting this article on behalf of Sina Valiollah, the references links were provided by him.

Please elaborate what changes I need to do in this article to make my submission accepted. If you also provide some examples that would be a great help for me.

You need to add independent and third-party coverage of the subject. This also helps in establishing notability of the subject. See WP:REFB for details. Also look at WP:Paid for conflict of interest issues and guidelines for disclosure. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 06:28, 3 September 2016 (UTC)

14:03:13, 5 September 2016 review of submission by Chris7turner

Hi Abdullah Alam, I hope you are well. I am a little confused by your rejection of the submission I wrote on Hamid Jafar. I have edited several articles on Wikipedia previously and not run into these issues.

In a world where the oil industry in the Middle East plays such a pivotal role, the founder of the Middle East oldest independent oil and gas company is arguably notable enough for that fact alone. However, the submission was originally rejected in July because the references did not establish his notability. I then spent quite a bit of time studying Wikipedia's guidelines for reliable sources to ensure I adhered to them. The sources I have now used include Reuters, Bloomberg, Forbes Magazine, the World Economic Forum and the United Nations. I am not sure how it would be possible to get five organisations with stronger reputations for fact-checking and completely independent of the subject? Additionally, none of them have conflicts of interest or contravene Wikipedia's questionable or self-published sources guidelines.

I would appreciate your reconsideration of your decision. If you are not able to approve the article, please advise on how I might find more reliable sources than these. Chris7turner (talk) 14:03, 5 September 2016 (UTC)

To put it simply (as the other reviewer also noted), the company would definitely be notable; however, there is no inherent notability because of his company. Rather than putting references for the companies, it would do good if you can get references from independent sources that discuss the subject. Also check reference 1 again. It does not link to your referred page. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:55, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

YMS 414 is a navy mine sweep from WW II. Many YMS ships are listed in wikipedia while YMS 414 is not given a separate article. YMS 415 does have its own article. I can also upload a picture of the YMS entering San Francisco in 1946 after returning from WW II.

You need to write the draft in a way that it becomes understandable. Please see WP:MOS. Also the submission needs to have adequate references in order to establish notability. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:13, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering what needs to be added to the article so that it meets the notability guidelines? Is it the quality of sources or the quantity? Thanks.

You need to expand your submission. Also quantity to some extent matters, but the quality of references are more important. You need independent and reliable references to establish notability of your subject. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:03, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Please advise what to do next?

I see that you are writing an autobiography which is strongly discouraged at Wikipedia (see WP:Auto) because of WP:COI. Also your written drafts were rejected and nominated for speedy deletion because they did not even come close to establishing any notability for the subject, i.e., yourself. Submitting a photograph may not be a bigger problem at this time. Creating notability and getting a satisfactory draft is. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:10, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Hi Abdullah Firstly thank you for your comments on the review of The Sethi Partnership Solicitors. Somehow the version i submitted doubled up with the old version under it. I don't know if this contributed to its rejection as the previous version was not referenced. i have deleted this old version off now) with regards to reliable sources not being used - was this all the sources? This may be because of the old version which was under it. Please confirm.ARC-MC-RF (talk) 12:17, 7 September 2016 (UTC) Also as soon as you rejected the article I have been contacted by an independent person who is willing to work on my submissions approval for a fee. is this allowed and do you think it would benefit me? Many thanks Rahila

Firstly, let's about the structure of the draft. Currently, it talks about two subjects: the firm and the founder. As the title is about the firm, I would advise you to focus on the firm and find independent and reliable references to the firm. You can make a separate draft about the founder if you believe they are notable. Currently, only very few of your references are about the subject while most of them are about the founder. Secondly, the draft is written as if you are advertising. Statements like 'She is invited as a guest to speak at events...' can be removed. Thirdly, are you related to the firm or the founder? Fourthly, on paid help on the article, please see WP:PAID and WP:COI. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 15:52, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

European Society for Surgical Research

Dear Abdullah, you have rejected my article on our Society the European Society for Surgical Research. I have included now references from other sources like the British Journal of Surgery, and European Surgical Research. Both journals are representing a remarkable scientific relevance in surgical research. Hope these references will fulfil the requirements of notability. I have visited the sites of various NPO from the medical field and most of them have even less relevant references, like only the official website and maybe 1-2 more references. So I was a bit surprised that the input was rejected. Please let me know if you I can update anything else. September 2016

Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Salman Humayun. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Draft:Plum Grove Junior High School

Can you explain your rationale in approving the above article at AfC please? John from Idegon (talk) 16:34, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

John, the current version of the article is significantly different from the one that was approved. I note that it was pretty marginal notability on which I approved it, however, there was significant coverage about the school in Chicago Tribune. The school was notable for being number 1 school in Illinois and one of the top five in the country for raising money for the National Leukumia and Lymphoma Society. Also (on a negative side), the school had a lot of bad media in 1994 for potential health issues and subsequent investigation. This part is no more in the article. Some other sections like student results and demographic tables are also no more there. However, I would still note that it was pretty marginal notability and I would go by the community's decision (whatever that is) at AfD. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:25, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
Are you aware that junior high schools are presumed non-notable? And that they like any government or quasi government agency need to make to reach WP:ORG, not GNG? The number one goal of AfC is to assist new users in creating articles that should be fireproof at AfD. The article was gutted due to copyright violations and BLP violations, things you are also supposed to review before passing an article. Even prior to removal of the violations, the article was only a marginal pass at GNG, and a fail for org. And it is undoubtedly going to be redirected. If you were aware of the guidelines involved (WP:WPSCH/AG and WP:ORG), you would have advised the creator to abandon the article. How are you helping by reviewing articles if you do not know how to do it? The closing line in your comment is downright hilarious. "However, I would still note that it was pretty marginal notability and I would go by the community's decision (whatever that is) at AfD." What other choice would you have? Unilaterally overrule the concensus at AfD? John from Idegon (talk) 06:04, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
I would like to agree with Abdullah Alam. The draft which he approved was much different from the one that you saw when you first became active in editing the article, John from Idegon. As Abdullah Alam pointed out, the school does have significant coverage. It has been featured on CBS, has several articles in the Chicago Tribune (the sixth most popular newspaper in the United States), as well as the Daily Herald, which is very well known in Illinois. As of this time, I have restored the article to its previous edits (close to the version the reviewer accepted). I would also like to point out, though you already know, that notability on Wikipedia is a matter of having sources individual to the subject, not just how important the subject is. There are several junior highs which have Wikipedia articles, not because they are especially important, but because they have several sources individual to the subject. 17:59:45, 13 September 2016 review of submission by Chadthelesser

Hello, I'm trying to get clarification on why the sources sited in the article on Writers Theatre were not sufficient to merit notability. We had multiple newspapers discussing both the productions staged there, and the architecturally significant new building that was recently constructed. Trying to determine whether I simply need to add MORE sources about the same things, or to include sources discussing something different. Many thanks!

The subject might be notable. I would suggest removing the mission statement from the submission. Also, the history section is completely without references. Are there any notable references for the works quoted in 2007, 2011 and 2013? After you can find references (independent and notable) for these, you can resubmit the draft and a reviewer will go through the submission to see if it meets the notability guidelines. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:26, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

PriyankaD (talk) 04:45, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

There is no specific time as such but less than one year seems very limited time for a company to have established notability. If you believe that the company has received substantial coverage (independent and reliable) during this first year, please include that in the draft. We can then reassess if the subject is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:29, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

At Wikipedia, the references that you provide need to be independent of the subject (third-party). Your draft currently has 5 references; 4 of which are not independent while the 5th (Trip Advisor Link) is not considered a reliable reference at Wikipedia. Also your references need to be inline to the text and not just placed at the end of the article without referring to any text in the article. See WP:REFB for further guidelines. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 08:21, 15 September 2016 (UTC)

Serop (in ArmenianՍերոբ, in Arabic سيروب ) is the name of a neighbourhood/town east of the city of Saida, Lebanon. It was built by Serop Kizirian, the son of Zeron and Terfanda who were survivors of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Turks in the early years of the 20th Century. Serop was born and raised in Saida where he attended the Gerard Institute, an American High School. It was from the classrooms of this school that he dreamed of building a house on one of the barren hills overlooking Saida and the Mediterranean sea. Fast forward, he graduated from that high school and worked for the Trans Arabian Pipe Line (TAPLINE) company, that transferred petrol from Saudi Arabia to Saida oil terminal from where oil was loaded in oil tankers to be delivered to European seaports. He then purchased about 150,000 sq.m. on a hill top, his dream hilltop, between Mieh-Mieh and Maghdousheh. This hill top was completely barren and uninhabited. Even vegetation was almost impossible because it had a rocky terrain. Besides, there was no road, water, power and all the essentials of modern life. He subdived the land into lots of about 500 sq.m. then opened roads and paved them. He installed a power grid and connected it to the public grid about 2km away. Then he installed water pipes and connected them to the public reservoir about 1.5 km away. Initially, he started selling some lots inorder to raise some money for construction. The first house he built was for him and his family (his parents and siblings because he was not married yet). then he built several apartment buildings and started selling them by low monthly installment that poor families could afford. By the time he built about 120 apartments people were calling the area different names but arising from the same base of Serop. They called: Serop's hill, Serop's district, Sirobieh, Sayroubieh(this is the GOOGLE Maps version), and Sirob. But finally it settled on Sirob. Note that in Arabic the letter sounds E or P do not exist that is why "Serop" ends up "Sirob" in Arabic. one day Serop called the residents and asked them to find a nice name for the new city and whoever finds the best name he will get an award. But before he could contineu his request they all shouted SIROB as a tribute for his gracious dream city. And the city grew and the population multiplied over time.07:18, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Szkizirian (talk)Sebouh Kizirian, youngest brother of Serop Another reference is : Al-Mustaqbal(Lebanese daily in Arabic) dated October 7, 2000.

The town should be notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. You need to refer to independent and reliable references to your submission for giving it a chance of being accepted. The article also jumps abruptly from the mention of Town Serop to its founder Serop. The draft is also not written in a way an entry in an encyclopedia should be written. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 07:26, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Draft Article on Muhammad Khawas Khan Golra

RESPECTED EDITOR, WIKEPEDIA

Draft Article Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Muhammad_Khawas_Khan_Golra

Sir, Reference subject Articles Dated August 22, 2016 and September 6, 2016 both rejected by your esteemed website due to non authentic references. The references given in the Article are authentic and the Article has been prepared from a thesis of Mr Zulfiqar Ali Shah, a student of masters whose thesis was accepted by University of Peshawar(Pakistan). The link of the University of Peshawar is http://pscpesh.org/index.php/publications/list-of-theses. The name of said thesis appears at S#80 of list of thesis. No further references are available on line as nobody has ever attempted to upload works of Muhammad Khawas Khan on any website. The reason is that the village of Muhammad Khawas Khan is in a far flung rural area and his progeny is not competent and educated enough to know the importance of his works. I being one of his co-villager has noticed that his works are still in the dark and would be lost very soon if not preserved through your renowned website. The replies from your side show that you preserve only those information which are already available on any site. But what about those which have never been uploaded by anybody?I am a responsible officer of higher rank in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judiciary and am presently serving as District & Sessions Judge in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy Peshawar as Senior Director(Research & Publications).Whatever is written in the Article is authentic and I write the Article with full responsibility. If you have any further query you can contact me on the email ID given at the foot of this message. If you desire we may send you the hard copy/scanned copy of the thesis mentioned above as no soft copy is available due to its being old in time. Yours Sincerely,

Niaz Muhammad Khan , District & Sessions Judge/Senior Director (Research & Publications) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy Peshawar. Email ID= niaz@kpja.edu.pk — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zulfi799 (talkcontribs) 05:23, 16 September 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your interest in creating an article on Muhammad Khawas Khan. However, as per Wikipedia policy, providing a list of thesis is not sufficient for the purpose. The subject of the article has to be discussed in independent and reliable sources. You can write about the subject in newspaper articles or blogs etc. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:59, 20 September 2016 (UTC)

Additional independent sources were requested for the re-review and have now been included. These include municipal documents and local media articles, as well as references from toronto fire services documents.

I see that the document has been submitted for re-review. A reviewer will review the submission. Just to mention that there are number of primary sources which should generally be avoided. See WP:PRIMARY for guidelines. Also there is a Wikipedia reference which is not considered reliable here. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:45, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

The submission looks much better referenced now. You can go through the text and see what details could be excluded. The 3rd para of Early Life, for example, can be excluded. Also, sentences like 'He proved to be an ideal man for the pioneering challenges' should be avoided. Once you are done, you can resubmit and a reviewer will go through the submission to see if it suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:31, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Draft:Atithi Gautam K. C

Hi Abdullah,

I was wondering about the wiki on Atithi Gautam K.C. Although, this is my first Wiki work, I have tried my best to meet all your requirements. The girl I am talking is, very blessed one. She got extreme talent and she is working on it very hard. Currently, she lives (with her family) in Japan and her learning and practice is going on. That music releaser even was a great event and was appreciated worldwide media. The function happened long ago and it was supposed in Wikipedia long ago. When I notice, it is missing in Wiki, I communicated with her father (who is one of my friends from back home) and he was ready to provide information and photo of her. She has done solo programs in USA and Japan. During the concert in Tokyo, Japan, Japan’s ex-Prime minister Hatoyama himself was present. During that event, she sang songs in English and Japanese language. Couple of weeks ago, there was an musical event in Tokyo by one of the Nepalese singer (Rajesh Payal Rai) and in that event Atithi supported him in one song, on which she sang on Nepali and Japanese language alternately. This is the visual of that part, where we can see Atithi singing with another singer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_h43xmLqiHw

This talented little girl deserves to be in Wikipedia. That is the reason, I am giving my time on this project. Just to let you know, I do these kinds of works as volunteer work, something return to community. You may see my many translations on TedEx too (https://www.ted.com/profiles/5879321/translator). I would like to kindly request you to consider on these evidences and suggest me, if there is anything I could do to make this article published in Wikipedia.

With sincere request, Heli Paudel — Preceding unsigned comment added by Heli Paudel (talkcontribs) 16:22, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

She looks promising. However, I would suggest adding a section or two on her notable works. After you are done, you can resubmit it for review and a reviewer will go through the submission to establish notability. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:43, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Nathan David Lamardo Curtis (born September 23, 1993) is a poet and lyricist. Aside from being a gifted poet Nathan's lyrics are compared to Anita Baker and Richard Marx. Nathan has five poetry collections on the market. He was born in Freeport, Bahamas and now resides in New York. He is the President and Chairman of Helio Capital. Helio Capital creates resorts and casinos worldwide.

At only age 18 Nathan wrote his first poetry collection called, "Songs of a Melancholy Heart," this put him on the map in 2012. His poetry is bold, daring, and innovative. He gets right to the point, speaking about everyday life. Nathan mentioned about his first book, "it crosses boundaries speaking about issues affecting everyday life, informing the world of keys to move forward in life and how to deal with crises." This collection was not only written for its poetry standpoint but also to glorify those who survived poverty, abuse, and rape. Nathan writes his best work during any mental, physical, or financial distress. He hopes to inspire those who are going through the same distress or may in the future.

"Eclectic Oprision" shows the compassion Nathan has in writing and the ability to channel others. Some of the topics he focuses on in this book are human trafficking and LGBT rights. "Eclectic Oprision" is social activism through literature.

Nathan Curtis published his third international poetry collection called, "Truth be Told." This collection is being sold by 13 of most popular distributors. Among these 13 distributors are Barnes and Noble, Baker and Taylor, and Amazon. After a two-year break from writing, Nathan says, "I'm back and reclaiming my throne as one of the best in the world." Nathan's poetry work is straight to the point and insistent.

"Naye The Sugar Glider Poet" was written for children. Not only does writing for kids teach them about today but what also they may face tomorrow. The subliminal message of poetry allows children to have a connection to the metaphysical portion of life and be able to express their feelings more.

In Nathan's fifth poetry collection, "Twenty Seven Reasons," he twists words into lyrical phrases. Nathan digs deep to find the emotions of human beings. This book shows the many different levels of human emotions and the way we can converge these different characteristics of the human emotion.

Nathan embraces not knowing what the future will bring. "Like poetry, I will go off part emotion, part brain and part love to decide my next move." Nathan wants to show his love for poetry and wants always to impact someone with his writing even after he is gone. Nathan says, “A great human being not only wants for today but tomorrow as well, to dwell but not to physically dwell, to help even if not tangibly but emotionally.” — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nathancurtis1 (talkcontribs) 17:53, 30 September 2016 (UTC)

Make sections for the draft. It actually depends on the references that you provided along with the text. The more reliable and independent your references are, more chances are of establishing the subject's notability. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:22, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello Abdullah Alam, Am not sure if you notice this AfC submission you declined on 2 September 2016 is been recreated directly in main space as Sanghamitra Bharali with almost the same sources. I still believe that this article fails WP:MUSICBIO and WP:POLITICIAN so do you mind if you can have a look at this article and give your feedback. Thank you – If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|Lowercase sigmabot III}} to your message, and signing it. GSS (talk) 18:13, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, GSS. I have gone through the submission. I agree she fails both WP:POLITICIAN and WP:MUSICBIO. I did some reference checking and could only see references to her being involved in the scandal (the reason for which is not provided adequately as well) and not for her songs. Most of the references provided by the editor are of the songs from apple.com; which aren't reliable. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:41, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Need help with Draft:Solmetric

Hi, I submitted and article for Solmetric and you rejected it. Then I changed it. I think my second submission was rejected also/ Can you give me some guidelines on what section or sentence is causing the problem? BilDog (talk) 02:14, 18 September 2016 (UTC)BilDog

I see that the draft has been submitted for review. A reviewer will go through the submission in order to see if it is notable enough to be included in the encyclopedia. I would still note that the complete 'History' section is still unreferenced. Two of the references are from the corporation's website and therefore not independent. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:53, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Thanks. I updated it to have more external references. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do other than wait for a reviewer. BilDog (talk) 18:30, 4 October 2016 (UTC)BilDog

Resubmitted my article Draft:Krxnic

Hi Abdullah,

I have just edited and resubmitted my article Draft:Krxnic I hope the links are more reliable. Please edited anything on there that you think is a problem. The BBC Profile link I have added will be updated soon with a link to the (Has It Come To This) song that i am featured on. I have also added a musicbrainz link and iTunes and Spotify links to more songs that i am featured on. Please let me know if this is better. Thank you

Krxnic (talk) 16:32, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

I am sorry but the draft still does not meet WP:NM. Please go through the notability guidelines. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:03, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

about Adi corporation draft

Hello sir,

adi corporation is basically a domestic organization recently it is came to a digital media work so we dont have enough sources right now for the references, so can you help me to fix the other bug for submission of my draft — Preceding unsigned comment added by Soclmedia (talkcontribs) 10:04, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

For a draft to be accepted, you need to provide reliable and independent references. This is for establishing that the company is notable enough. See WP:REFB and WP:ORG for further details. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 10:25, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Declining Draft Article

Broadway in Staten Island does exist now i am UNHAPPY, because this is a main road in Staten Island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnny Apple (talkcontribs) 18:54, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

No references to it means it does not exist. Provide reliable references that it exists. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:27, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Draft:Shawn Storm

Ok but i dont understand i see other artist with itunes and youtube link, those are mainly what i use for references, and the bold text is to highlight the different persons or labels he has work with,so wen is it that i am suppose to add it? Kimasivdem (talk) 04:09, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

These are not considered reliable references at Wikipedia. Find some independent and reliable mentions to the subject in media, newspapers etc. in order to establish notability. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 04:49, 8 October 2016 (UTC)

Friday the 13th (1985 computer game)

An anon IP started the draft page Friday the 13th (1985 computer game). I went ahead and cleaned it up and added proper sourcing. I don't know, however, if it is at the level that hitting the Resubmit button is warranted yet. That and I haven't heard back from the author on his talk page. As you declined the article, I thought I'd touch base and see what you think is the next step. Parenthetically, I believe the title of the article should be changed to Friday the 13th: The Computer Game as per the box art, but one thing at a time. Thanks much for your time.--Surv1v4l1st Talk|Contribs 04:29, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

Stronger Sources

Hi! I tried to include stronger sources and more of them in order to try to publish the article I submitted. I am a little confused with how to resubmit. Do you see my edits to include more references? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MBACandidate123 (talkcontribs) 06:50, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

The draft has duplicate content. You can resubmit by clicking the 'Resubmit' button at the bottom of the red rejection box. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 09:03, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to review this work. Can you give me any advice on improving the references? The ones I chose were articles in local New Zealand newspapers to highlight that the information was in the public domain. Many thanks for your help.

19:24:26, 18 September 2016 review of submission by OluboyedeT

Dear Sir, I happens to heard about a young man that became a commissioner, a senior government office holder at the age of 32 and later became the secretary to the state government, an office that is responsible for the running of the government of the state of Osun, south west Nigeria, with about 3.5 million as at 2006 (wikipedia) one of the 36 federal units that make up Nigeria. A man who has been a quiet arbitrator, particularly among the Muslim community, ensuring harmony with other religion. He was the pioneer commissioner for the environment in the state also and so many other accomplishments.OluboyedeT (talk) 19:24, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

As I noted in my comment while rejecting the draft submission, the write-up was promotional. You need to tone down the promotional stuff and also provided references to statements like rose to 'the youngest secretary to the state government'. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:40, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for those observations.
1. i dont know how to put reference inline, can you kindly direct me on how to?
2. I have been looking for a major reference to the statement that he was the youngest secretary to the stage governor, but references available that he was 34 when he became a commissioner on environment to the state governor. I hope that a public forum as this will be able to add it, since its an open source material
3. I have had a review and tone down according to your advice.
Kindly advice if there are other areas you want me to improve on. This is my first post on Wiki by the way, and great job you people are doing here, particularly, having to review everyone of the large thousands of materials being posted on hourly basis. OluboyedeT (talk) 09:15, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
By moving your references inline means that they should be placed in the main text of the article alongside the sentences that they refer to; rather than placing them at the bottom (in the reference section). I am talking about the [1],[2] etc. For point (2), it is better to remove the sentence then if there is no valid reference to it. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:56, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
Let me once more thank you or the patience in reading through this and pointing out my errors. I had been able to find an article on him being the youngest secretary to the government of osun state, also a reference to him being the pioneer commissioner of environment in the state. Kindly let me know other areas i can improve this before final submission for approval. Thank youOluboyedeT (talk) 20:34, 3 October 2016 (UTC).
Dear Abdullah Alam, Am still waiting for your review of my post. i have put the reference inline and also got reference to the fact that he was the youngest Secretary to th state government of the state of Osun.
Please let me know other areas i need to improve this for for approval.197.210.29.47 (talk) 08:13, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
You haven't addressed my concerns above. Your references (7-20) are still placed at the bottom and not in main body of the draft. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 08:59, 10 October 2016 (UTC).
Thank you Abdullah Alam, I have placed references inline, i tried removing reference number 14-20, because they appear like repetition of those listed above, but couldnt find them to delete or maybe, i need better html knowledge.
Please tell me it is good enough now. Thank you. TaiwoOluboyedeT (talk) 16:27, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
I have removed repeated references (14-20) now. The draft still needs a proper lede sentence. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:26, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
Thank you Abdullah Alam, i dont know what is lede sentence? OluboyedeT (talk) 11:21, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
See WP:LEAD for details. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 05:24, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
Am really lost on what to do moving forward, particularly on the lead. dont know how better to compose the lead. can i get any help?OluboyedeT (talk) 12:11, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
I have also edited the content a bit more by removing some other stuffsOluboyedeT (talk) 12:34, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
I have added the lead sentence. You can modify it if needed. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 14:32, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
Oh, great, seeing it. i think coming from a moderator, i dont have any modifications. Thank you. What is the next thing now?197.210.227.245 (talk) 11:30, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
Dear Abdullah, how do i proceed from here 197.210.29.71 (talk) 19:32, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
You need to click 'Resubmit' at the bottom of the red rejection box. This will submit your draft for review. A reviewer will review your submission and let you know if the draft is ready to be moved to the main space. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:20, 24 October 2016 (UTC)

04:05, 1 October 2016 Review of submission by Santos.juan on Draft:René Azurin

Hi Abdullah. Thanks for the response. Regarding the YouTube references on Draft:René Azurin, these are episodes/interviews on public TV that serve to affirm statements made in the text. Shouldn't I leave them in?

Santos.juan (talk) 12:30, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

These should be removed from the references section. Also your references are not formatted correctly. --Abdullah Alam (talk) 03:24, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi Abdullah. I've removed all the references to youtube and I've formatted my references. Could you kindly review my article again? Santos.juan (talk) 02:38, 31 October 2016 (UTC)

New Page Review needs your help

Hi Abdullah Alam,

As an AfC reviewer you're probably aware that a new user right has been created for patrolling new pages (you might even have been granted the right already, and admins have it automatically).

Since July there has been a very serious backlog at Special:NewPagesFeed of over 14,000 pages, by far the worst since 2011, and we need an all out drive to get this back down to just a few hundred that can be easily maintained in the future. Unlike AfC, these pages are already in mainspace, and the thought of what might be there is quite scary. There are also many good faith article creators who need a simple, gentle push to the Tea House or their pages converted to Draft rather than being deleted.

Although New Page Reviewing can occasionally be somewhat more challenging than AfC, the criteria for obtaining the right are roughly the same. The Page Curation tool is even easier to use than the Helper Script, so it's likely that most AfC reviewers already have more than enough knowledge for the task of New Page Review.

It is hoped that AfC reviewers will apply for this right at WP:PERM and lend a hand. You'll need to have read the page at WP:NPR and the new tutorial.

Draft: Kozhikode_newspaper

Mr Abdullah Alam,

I was requested by Mr Stephen Philbrick to initiate a conversation with you regarding your rejection of my submission titled Kozhikode_newspaper. Apparently the piece lacked cross-references (if this was not the issue, please let me know what was).

This newspaper was owned and published by my grandfather Mr P A Sankara Sastri in Kozhikode, known as Calicut in British India. We his descendants have copies of the issues. My grandfather passed away in his eighties in 1969. You can therefore understand that no peer or contemporary of his is currently alive to corroborate his work. Since he worked in the 1920s in colonial India, a severely pre-technology period, no data other than what we have is available.

In case you wish to respond to me, please email me at senorita.sudha@gmail.com Sudha Shastri
