Thank you for your participation in the April 2010 GAN backlog elimination drive
edit
On behalf of my co-coordinator Wizardman, I'd like to especially thank you for your efforts over this past month's GAN backlog elimination drive. It has been nothing short of a complete success, which hopefully results in more expedient good article reviews, increasing users' confidence in the good article nomination processes. Even if you made just a small contribution, it still helped contribute to the success of this drive. Here is what we have accomplished this last month in this drive.
For those who have accomplished certain objectives in the drive, awards will be coming shortly. Again, thank you for your help in the drive, and I hope you continue to help review GA nominations and overall improve the quality of articles here on Wikipedia. |

I've had a quick look over the list and updated my comment on the article's talk page. There's still a few things to do, but nothing too arduous. If you'd like me to have a fiddle with the article rather than just comment, I'll do so, but for the moment I'll leave it to you and Mr. Apples! Harrias talk 08:17, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

- Yeah, I thought I'd try to meander it along to a GA over time. Not so active at the moment because of actually watching cricket though! Getting a lot of photos though; the good ones are on my flickr account, but I'll put a lot up on the Commons too; so if there are any cricketers on the County circuit you want snapped, let me know! Flag issues of Ireland and Windies
editHeyy, just take this matter into consideration. This is a part of 2011 Cricket World Cup discussions.
The flag included for Ireland in the tables is inaccurate and inappropriate. Ireland field a 'cross-border team- representing both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland (which is part of the UK) - there is, I believe an accepted flag flown at all ireland matches of three green shamrocks on a dark blue blackground - this would be the appropriate flag to include. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.133.110 (talk) 23:41, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- I too feel this is correct. We should not consider using IRELAND cricket flag and West Indies Cricket Flag as inappropriate. Just see in Rugby Union. The flag of Ireland Rugby Union (not the logo) is used for their national team in tags like

- Very well, but what does this have to do with me? Aaroncrick TALK 22:31, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
We have removed the West Indies flag and Ireland Flag from the tags of CRICKET. So we should use them instead.
Thus, here the respective flags should be inserted as it looks pretty odd. You too are a reputed cricket editor. Thus I have asked for some help.--Karyasuman (talk) 08:22, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Grab some glory, and a barnstar
editHi, I'd like to invite you to participate in the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. In May, about 30 editors helped remove the {{copyedit}} tag from 1175 articles. The backlog is still over 7500 articles, and extends back to the beginning of 2008! We really need your help to reduce it. Copyediting just a couple articles can qualify you for a barnstar. Serious copyeditors can win prestigious and exclusive rewards. See the event page for more information. And thanks for your consideration. monosock 18:07, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Alright, just from a quick glance, I notice the prose fails to flow because of a lot of stop-start sentences. He is probably used too much at the start of a sentence also. Could you possibly invest in a good copy-editor? I'm sure that this will prove difficult, however, and I'm guessing you're attempting to now? Cheers :) Aaroncrick TALK 09:33, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

GA Reviewing
editHello. As you've probably noticed, the GAN backlog is starting to get bad in a few spots, particularly the sports section. Since you've reviewed a few in the past, I'm posting this here to ask if you'd be able to take a couple of reviews to help keep the backlog in check.
