Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Salman Khan filmography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rambha. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

What in case with ther articles of actors like shahrukhkhan and Aamirkhan? No wiki lead policy ther? No problem there? Too much vast and unsourced content. Needs a clean up. Only salman khan article is a problem with you? Unbelievable. Favoring some actors and discrimination of other actor? This the policy of Wikipedia? Shame. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harirajmohanhrm (talkcontribs) 12:12, 2 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

I think you are talking about lead section of Salman Khan. You can clean Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan articles if it has some issues. For your information, let me tell you, I have written Salman Khan filmography completely. You can check here. So there's nothing like favoring or discrimination. You need to follow some rules before making edits. If I won't revert someone else will. So it's good if you read WP:LEAD. --25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  20:20, 2 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Salman Khan

edit

I noticed your revert of my edit to this article. I marked "debute" as sic because it is an error, the correct spelling being "debut". I tagged it to avoid it being seen as an error by Wikipedia, which it is not. The error is in the cited reference. We have two options: (1) Change the spelling in the article to the correct one (debut) or (2) mark the error with the sic tag. Whichever we choose we should not leave it as it is because it is an error and we should make sure that people don't think it's Wikipedia's error, which it isn't. Jodosma (talk) 17:41, 4 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reverted because I didn't know about those options. Thank you so much for informing. I think it's best to change the spelling than marking a tag.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  14:56, 5 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome, incidentally the correct spelling can be seen in the given ref if you look very carefully at the YouTube video screen rather than the caption supplied by the uploader. I'll change the spelling and put this info in the edit summary. Jodosma (talk) 17:04, 5 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks a lot.--25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  14:22, 8 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Promotional, unreliable sources

edit

I just ran across your edits here. To start, please note that extraneous external links you added are inappropriate.

As far as the sources go:

  • imdb.com, while often used, is generally not a reliable source
  • planetradiocity.com is a poor source if not unreliable
  • awardsandwinners.com (redirected from whosdatedwho), doesn't appear reliable
  • lgw.in is a lyrics website - strange that you misspelled just the one letter like that
  • igw.in is dead whatever it may have been. I can find no archive
  • whosdatedwho.com is not a reliable source

Please be more careful with sources, and be especially so in BLPs. --Ronz (talk) 17:18, 18 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello 25 Cents FC. All or some of your addition(s) to Guzaarish (2010 film) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:08, 3 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

    • Thanks for notifying me. Feels like I must make my own sentences rather than adding blindly. As you can see article is in pathetic state, so hope you understand my mistakes. Also, the whole plot isn't copied from the site you have mentioned. It's a detail internet research. But anyway, Thanks again. :-) --25 CENTS VICTORIOUS  19:47, 3 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
