Welcome! edit

Hello! I noticed your contributions to The Lord of the Rings and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay. You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).

You may like to note that the way we work is to study reliable sources like scholarly books and journal articles, to summarize their arguments, and to cite those sources. You can't just remove cited claims; if we're to make a change, you'd need to find another scholar, presumably more recent, who robustly rebuts the cited claim and demonstrates that the situation is different. Even then, we wouldn't usually just remove scholar no. 1; we'd mention both sides, unless one has obviously made a trivial mistake (like saying it's in The Hobbit when it's in Lord of the Rings, say).

November 2022 edit

Hello, I'm JCMLuis. I noticed that you recently removed content from Ice Cream (Blackpink and Selena Gomez song) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. luis. 💬 20:10, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add an inappropriate image, as you did at Fauna of India. Such images may be added to the bad image list if used persistently for vandalism. Leonidlednev (talk) 16:34, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

January 2023 edit

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia, and articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to PayPal Honey. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, please use the sandbox instead, where you are given a certain degree of freedom in what you write.
