A WikiTemplar (derived from the Hawaiian wikiwiki "quick" & French templier) is a wiki user who is a member of a secret order of WikiKnights who, like a WikiKnight, is sworn to defend Wikipedia and uphold the eternal pillars of truth. But unlike a WikiKnight, a WikiTemplar also has characteristics of a WikiGnome and WikiElf, completing many tasks and improvements to the realm unbeknownst to simple WikiVillagers and other WikiFauna.
History edit
In the beginning, WikiKnights roamed the land, battling with WikiDragons and maintaining order over the WikiVillagers. Eventually, some WikiKnights began to control the WikiVillagers in an unjust way, limiting their freedom and murdering them with the Sword of Reversion when not needed. Dark WikiKnights began to arise, kidnapping WikiPrincesses and fighting to become WikiKings. The WikiVillagers stood no chance against this new threat.
A small band of WikiKnights who still had faith in their sworn oath banded together to form the Order of the WikiTemplar. With help from a WikiWizard who survived the onslaught of the Dark WikiKnights and WikiDragons, the WikiTemplars expanded their knowledge and learned how to resolve disputes and how to enchant their Sword of Reversion with the fatal revert spell, making vandals and Dark WikiKnights easy to slay.
The WikiTemplars' only desire is to protect the defenseless. They have no interest in accumulating power or rising in the politics of men. WikiTemplars are rarely seen in the WikiVillages; they are silent observers and protectors of the land, only making public appearances when desperately needed. However, some WikiVillagers claim that they have seen a WikiTemplar silently striding away into the distance from their WikiVillage just after a dispute had been resolved.
The Order edit
Acceptance into the Order edit
Few WikiKnights are chosen for membership into the Order of the WikiTemplar. If a WikiKnight is deemed worthy, they will be invited to the Order by another WikiTemplar. The method of contact is unknown to outsiders.
WikiTemplar powers edit
The WikiTemplar has no magical powers – it is the pureness of their WikiHeart that gives them their WikiStrength and allows them to stand up to oppression, rebellion, and tyranny. Their weapons are, however, very efficient and powerful - the Sword of Reversion (enchanted with the fatal revert spell), the Shield of Neutrality, and the Helmet of References. With these they oppose the wholesale slaughter that a WikiDragon or Dark WikiKnight can inflict.
How to identify a WikiTemplar edit
The easiest way to identify a WikiTemplar is by their sacred flag. Because the WikiTemplar Order is not large or publicly known, searching for WikiTemplars may prove difficult. If you do happen upon a WikiTemplar's User page, members of the Order can be identified by the WikiTemplar flag, 
which will be displayed in the top right-hand corner of the page. If accepted into the Order, a user may add {{User:TheJJJunk/WikiTemplar/topicon}} to their userpage.
