History
editThis section needs expansion. You can help by adding to it. (February 2013) |
It was launched in 1925 by Edoardo and Adele Fendi,[2] as a fur and leather shop in Via del Plebiscito, Rome;[1] but today is a multinational luxury goods brand owned by LVMH. Karl Lagerfeld is the creative director.[3] In 2014, Fendi started making plans to use drones to show its catwalk fashions.[4]
Lines
editFragrances
editFendi launched its first perfume, Fendi for Women, in 1985.[1] The line has been expanded to Theorema Uomo and Fendi Uomo (for men) and Celebration, Asja and Fantasia (for women). The latest, "Fan di Fendi", was released in August 2010
Eyewear
editFendi's eyewear line is licensed to Marchon Eyewear and includes prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses in addition to non-prescription sunglasses.
Timepieces
editFendi currently licenses the production of watches to Taramax, in which it has a controlling interest. These feature Swiss movements. Production has two categories: one for men and other for women.[5][6]
Writing instruments
editFendi licensed their name and logo to Cross Pens in 1989, but by 2000 this deal appeared to have lapsed.
