Hi Kevin. If you are interested in becoming an admin in the not too distant future, there is a lot of advice which you may not have read yet. Getting reviews of your current work is one thing, but there are quite a lot of hoops before you get there. To learn more about it from the inside and your own perspective, there are some essays that may help with your auto-assessment. In other news, I've marked your answers to the Copyright class - I'm afraid I think you need to go back and re-read the policies, particularly the definitions of fair use and public domain; I'm concerned that you haven't really understood what these are about. No blame attached - copyright is about the most complicated aspect of Wikipedia, unless you're a bot operator - just take your time and have another go at the questions once you've revised the recommended reading. - I'm sorry to have to point this out, but you've both made a fundamental error here. Repeatedly reverting in an attempt to find a "good" version of an article is not the way to go about resolving these issues. The appropriate course of action would have been to fix the problems with the page; I've now done this, see this diff. If the version you're reverting to still has errors (and in trying to revert Tstkwt you have both reintroduced broken references), then correcting those errors with a spot of editing is the best thing for the encyclopedia. Don't get hung up on the use of Huggle, STiki and other fancy tools; they are not the point of Wikipedia. The point is to build an encyclopedia; if the tools help you do that, great, but if they don't help you in a particular situation, just do it by hand. Yunshui 雲水 08:47, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Rata Prime edit
Not that it matters much, but I tagged it as an attack page because "Rata" is a common derogatory term for thief in Spanish. So "Rata Prime" can be construed as meaning "Top Thief", which with the addition of a single personal name in the content, makes it an attack page. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 01:36, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

Huggle mis-step edit
Hi Kevin. Can you offer an explanation for this, please? I can't see any reason for your revert of this editor's hard work - s/he was adding sourced material, removing unsourced speculation, expanding the article and providing useful links. For a change like this, an edit summary is all but mandatory; you simply can't go around removing sourced content with powerful tools like Huggle and not say why you did it. Please explain the reasoning behind your revert.
If this was a mistake, as I assume, it was a bad one - you cannot afford to make mistakes like this with Huggle (ditto Twinkle, rollback, STiki etc.); if you misuse the tool (either intentionally or through carelessness), it will be taken away from you. Wikipedia is not a competition; you don't score points for having a gazillion reverts under your belt, especially if they are bad ones. Slow down, consider your edits carefully, leave edit summaries. I sincerely apologize that you've had to speak with me again about the same situation. Reading your discussion with the IP in question via your talkpage, one thing the IP said was correct; that the mistake I made was a careless one. I would never have reverted that edit if I was being careful with the tool; I believe I might have meant to send that user a Teahouse invite (as you may know, the AGF revert button is reight next to the template message button). Under no circumstances do I ever revert deliberately on the sight of removed redlinks (which you once told me not to remove back in October), or on the mere sighting of an IP edit. I admit, I do put a little more scrutiny in reviewing the edits of IPs, though. Responding to your second point, I am unable to locate the edit summary input bar in Huggle-up until right now I just assumed that I can revert as long I am prepared to explain it on my Talkpage.
Perhaps seeing the graph showing the relation between successful RfAs and edit count has made me a little jumpy in reversions. But please know that in no way had I mistaken his/her edit for vandalism or just assumed IPs make crappy edits.
I will definetly slow down in my reverting. I have decided to drop Huggle pending a valid answer to my edit summary concern above, and do some more work in my Sandbox.
With less advanced but simpler and more efficient tools like STiki, however, I am given to know that the addition of edit summaries has been made even simpler.

- I don't use Huggle, but in case it helps at all, from my perception, the worst that Yunshui was planning to do was to take away your rollback (and hence Huggle). - Wasn't even planning to do that, to be honest - I see a few instances in your recent history where you've made mistakes with Huggle (usually by using it to revert edits that weren't vandalism), but I'm glad to hear that you're planning to put the brakes on a bit, and at present I see no reason to revoke your tool use.
- As a non-Huggler I'm afraid I can't help you locate the edit summary option (I'm fairly sure I've seen Huggle edits with summaries, but I could be mistaken; the function may not even exist). Huggle's an anti-vandalism tool, though, which means that if you need to post an edit summary, you probably shouldn't be using Huggle to make the edit in the first place! Greetings Kevin.
I saw you had an issue recently where you were unable to login and had to use the IP. Have you considered leaving a 'in a nutshell' notice on your IP's talkpage saying that the IP belongs to you? I just think it's a good idea so its contributions can be linked to you plus I did it myself. G7 works on the page if you end up jumping to a new IP. I'd suggest something like {{nutshell|This is the IP of [[User:Kevin12xd|Kevin12xd]]}} if you decide to do so. It will also surely drive off the 'consider creating an account' messages. - Generally not a good idea, chaps (welcome back Kevin, btw!). IPs are rarely permanent addresses for individual users - ISPs can and do change them or assign them to multiple computers, and they also change if you move or switch providers, so claiming an IP as "yours" is pretty unwise - six months down the line it could easily belong to someone else (if you aren't sharing it already), and if that someone promptly replaces the Main Page with a massive picture of their own genitalia, having your username at the top of their talkpage will lead to some awkward questions being posed in your general direction... G7 is almost never applied to talkpages (technically the correct criterion would be U1, but again, that's not often used for talkpages either), so if you do knowingly switch IPs about the most you could do would be to blank the page, leaving the talkpage history very much intact. IPs also identify a user's location and can even be used to track down someone's home address - that's not something you really want associated with a named account, especially if you use your real name. If you want my advice, I'd recommend keeping your IP as secret as you can. Yunshui 雲水 08:55, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
