Imagebot

The reason the bot is being "*** annoying" is because you are using Template:Non free rationale which puts the image into a category which it scans. Fair-use articles cannot be used in userspace so it removes them. The easiest way to avoid it is to upload to commons. You can use Template:Information instead. I think I have fixed all your images now. They will be moved to commons eventually anyway. Regards. Woody (talk) 19:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Cheers Woody, any pictures I upload now, I will do to commons myself. Jonesy702 (talk) 19:14, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps episodes, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps episodes has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps episodes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. February 2008

Please do not use styles that are unusual or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Nick Wright (footballer born 1987). There is a Manual of Style that should be followed. Thank you. robwingfield «TC» 19:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Nothing wrong with my layout, stop messing around, or i will report you. Jonesy702 (talk) 12:36, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive or hard to read formatting, as you did in Nick Wright (footballer born 1987), you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. As before, you've decided to use your own Manual of Style. PLEASE use the style provided by WP:FOOTBALL. The aim of that WikiProject is to give a consistent appearance to all football-related articles. I don't want to edit war or argue with you. It's not about whether it's "my" or "your" style that's being put in place, it's about making Wikipedia consistent with what the community has agreed. Please consult the Manuals of Style at WP:FOOTBALL, and discuss there if you want to change them. But don't just apply your own manual of style on individual articles. robwingfield «TC» 13:08, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

please explain what is wrong? Jonesy702 (talk) 13:14, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

the only problem i can see on this page is the flag, which i have removed. stop removing image and changing format. Jonesy702 (talk) 13:18, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I'll compromise. As you've left the rest of the page per the MoS, I'll leave the image in place. robwingfield «TC» 18:04, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough, on a serious one though, why do you always remove the picture? I think it has it's uses. Jonesy702 (talk) 18:06, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure I'd agree. It's obvious that there isn't a proper image of the player, and that one needs to be included, and just serves to push actual information about the player further down the page. However, it's not the biggest thing to get worried about, and it's not mentioned in any policies! However, the flags and the italicising of "loan" is mentioned in various policies, which is why when I see it in an article, I remove it. The process I go through is copying the blank template syntax from {tl|Infobox Football biography}}, and then copying all of the information from the article into the new template, then delete the old. Can we try to put any previous disagreements behind us? I'm trying to do the same thing as you on Wikipedia - increase the amount of football-related info. It's not me that sets the policies about format, or about which articles should be included - they're set by the community as a whole, and I'm just applying them. robwingfield «TC» 18:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree it's not a proper image, but for people who may have a photo of said player and are not that up to speed with wikipedia can find out how to add it, thus making the page better in the long run. With regards to the flags, fair enough I can really moan about that, but messing with the template is petty, is there really any need for all that space? it looks stupid. I am willing to forgive and forget, but try to stop messing around with thing, that don't need messing with. Jonesy702 (talk) 18:19, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Jamie Price

I have nominated Jamie Price, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jamie Price. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. robwingfield «TC» 17:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Image issues

Image:Williams, Matthew.jpg, Image:Roberts, Darren.jpg need a proper licences. I have commented out a few as they have dubious licences/rationales. You cannot take screencaps from MOTD etc and claim them as your own. You need to write fair-use rationales for them explaining why they cannot be replaced with normal images. Do not restore the images without proper licences or the bots will be back again. Any questions as ever can be left on my talk. Woody (talk) 22:53, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

I have put the correct licences under the images in question. Can I please state that both of these images were taken in person by myself at the locations and dates as stated. I do not use copyrighted pictures. Jonesy702 (talk) 18:35, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair enough, I trust your word as I have no reason not to. It was just after seeing the metadata and one of yours which is licensed as a screencap. I was just making sure. Regards. Woody (talk) 02:13, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Heavy Metal (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles)

An editor has nominated Heavy Metal (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Heavy Metal (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 17:00, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Said, Brian.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Said, Brian.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Briscoe,_Michael.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 13:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Goode, Andy.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Goode, Andy.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Proposed deletion of Virtual Sexuality

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Virtual Sexuality, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Orphaned non-free media (Image:The Art of War II Betrayal.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:The Art of War II Betrayal.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Hi, you don't think you might be going a bit over the top with detailed results of every game? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 18:54, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

Nah not at all. No different to Merseyside derby or Manchester derby those pages are much better and this page is desperate for an update. Any reason why you removed the crests? Jonesy702 (talk) 19:51, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
The page is indeed desperate for an update, and the pages you mention are much better. Adding some words to go with the stats has been on my list of things to do for too long. And a compact plain list of results like in the Manchester derby would be fine. But collapsible footballboxes for each result pushes it over the line into WP:NOT#STATS, and the bright colours make it difficult to read.
As to the crests, they're copyright to the football clubs and therefore non-free content, so we're only allowed to use them on the article about the football club. If the Birmingham derby had its own logo, we'd be allowed to use that, but it hasn't. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 20:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Fair enough about the crests, if they can't be used I'll have to sort out a photo from one of the derby matches. Getting back to the match reports i think your splitting hairs. I think collapsible footballboxes are perfect. they won't clutter the page and has relevent information about the article in question. As regards to the colours they are very light and do not effect the text, i believe it does not make it difficult for the reader to see. The same match information is on the Merseyside derby and makes that page look great. Jonesy702 (talk) 23:07, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
As to colours, not everyone has perfect vision, myself included, or access to modern colour displays, which is why we're advised not to use colour alone to convey information. See WP:Manual of Style#Color coding. To me, there's little contrast between the two colours used, and not much between the Villa colour and wikilink blue, which makes the normal weight text (e.g. date) hard to read. And once it's five or six screens full of coloured stripes, it will overwhelm the rest of the page.
Fair enough on the level of detail: if you think the way it's done on Merseyside derby makes the page look great, why not do it that way. So you keep the detail of goalscorers, attendance, competition, but the reader can just see the information clearly presented on a straightforward easy to read list without having to keep clicking on hide/show buttons. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:27, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
I know everyone doesn't have perfect vision, like myself included but there is enough contrast between the colours. I know not everyone has modern displays but you'll find a hell of a lot more people do than don't, it's not the 80's anymore!!!

I believe the page is fine as it is, really instead of questioning everything i do on the page, i thought you'd support me? the page was looking shit before and does need an update - and no one else seems to be trying with that article. Jonesy702 (talk) 18:52, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

I wasn't sure that it needed as much detail as you were adding, but you pointed out the Merseyside derby had a similar level without being overwhelming, and that convinced me. I don't like the use of colours and templates for what seems to me no good reason, and I've said why, that's all. You clearly don't agree on that, that's fine, I'm not going to start reverting your work. I'm sorry if I've come across as "questioning everything you do on the page", that isn't what was intended. cheers,

A tag has been placed on Stephen Azzopardi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  IShadowed  ✰  23:39, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Jonesy702! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 393 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Henning Bürger - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Doug Walker (musician) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Future films are not notable without substantial coverage in independent reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SummerPhD (talk) 01:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Dávid Gróf

Could you explain how my edit on Dávid Gróf contains an "unneccesary resize", when in my edit summary I explained why it is indeed necessary, due to having it at full size stretches the infobox? When the image is larger the infobox is stretched and the space between the "Apps" and "(Gls)" columns is unneccesarily large, whereas when the image is smaller the infobox is not stretched and the clarity of the image is not affected. Also, could you not tell users things like "do not amend again"; the reason I'm revering your amendment is because I don't agree with it, but I'm not demanding you to not touch the article as if you don't have a right to do so. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 01:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

don't tell me what to do. its my image, if you don't like it, i'll take the fucking thing off and you can get your own. it seems you spoiling it for everyone else.

Wow, just wow. I ask you in a way I think is quite unoffensive why you feel the image should not be resized, and I get that. Being of the belief that an image being a little bit smaller for the overall benefit of an article merits the need to "take the fucking thing off" and such an action is "spoiling it for everyone else" is quite stunning. It's quite clear you can't be reasoned with so good day to you. Mattythewhite (talk) 18:11, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Why does it always have to get like this? I feel me and you betweeen us probably edit most of the Conference. We both seem to have a love for our respective teams, but I just feel you can't let me do things without having the final say and watching over my every edit. I upload great pictures of the players which take a lot time and effort to do, and I know they would be sadly missed if I didn't put the time and effort in. I don't think I'm being unresonable. Its not like I'm spamming the pages or putting uncited details. We should work together, not against. Jonesy702 (talk) 19:00, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Work together we should and the best way to achieve that is through discussing things and concluding what the best option is. I'd like to make it clear that my qualm with the sizing of your images in no way reflects any negative opinion toward them; they show the players in question clearly and I dare say without them those articles would have remained without images. I'm sorry you feel that you can't edit without me having the final say, although I'm not sure on how many ocassions we've actually engaged in any significant edit conflicts. I feel the best way to resolve this issue is by raising it at the talk page of WP:FOOTY and getting more opinions on the matter. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:49, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Jonesy702, I know (from above) you mean to do the best, but please be aware of WP:3RR and perhaps discuss the changes before continually reverting them? It's clear you're a productive editor, so let's work out a way forward before you get blocked for edit warring. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:52, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Lets keep this discussion in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Dávid Gróf as it may get too confusing. Jonesy702 (talk) 20:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Indeed. Just be aware that typically, a transgression of 3RR will result in you being blocked. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:09, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough. So when can I change it back without getting blocked? Jonesy702 (talk) 20:12, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Well WP:3RR will tell you everything you need to know. Better still, let's come to a consensus at FOOTY and go with it. The Rambling Man (talk) 20:14, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

WP:3RR

I now count that you have reverted on this article seven times over the last few days. There is clear consensus for this change (as four other editors clearly support it). Additionally, edits like this and particularly this are very petty and not constructive at all. Please cease your edit war on this article, or you will almost certainly be blocked. Thanks, пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:35, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

So because four mates stick together - they decide what happens. What a joke you lot are. Jonesy702 (talk) 17:02, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
It's nothing to do with "mates". It's called consensus, and currently you have no consensus for your edits. пﮟოьεԻ 57 20:19, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
To be fair, Matty didn't have consensus when he changed it the first time. When it was discussed over on the group page the consensus was vaguely to leave it as it was (unsized). However someone suggested that the picture itself required editing. At that point Jonesy turned this into a personal vendetta with the world out to get him and his images. See WikiProject Football discussion on this increasingly silly dispute.Koncorde (talk) 07:20, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
In his defence, I would say two or three comments at WT:FOOTY took an already established point and needlessly antagonised Jonesy. If he has broken 3RR that should be dealt with in the usual way, but if there are mitigating circumstances those should also be dealt with appropriately. --WFC-- 11:37, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

My apologies for undoing your edit on the article. However, I add career stats for all Blackpool players and try my best then to keep them up to date - except when I had a short wikibreak!! :). I add them all in a specific format so that I can then use that for each player article. I hope that you understand and are ok with this, just I update the stats for Blackpool players and would prefer to keep them all in one format. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Hugh Morrow. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. The article Harold Cox (footballer) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Had a feeling that he was going to progress to the Football League, therefore I recently took the liberty of getting a photo of him as I knew it would only be a matter of time before a page would be created. As regards to the appearances/goals, I'm not sure at the moment. I am hoping to work it out from various sources and obviously whack it on the page. The article Jason Bradley has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As per discussion at WT:FOOTY, no records can be found to prove that Jason Bradley played for Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup, thus failing notability at WP:NFOOTY. Also a lack of any significant media coverage means he fails WP:GNG.

The article Phil Trainer has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The article Roly Mills has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Replaceable fair use File:Burton, Steve.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Burton, Steve.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:08, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:2011 FA Trophy Final.png

Thank you for uploading File:2011 FA Trophy Final.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 22:42, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Please note this file has now been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion/2013 February 3 to discuss further its violation of the fair use policies. Stifle (talk) 13:47, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2004–05 Tamworth F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mark Cooper (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Gary Piggott. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

fancy helping us? its not an easy one to reference. Jonesy702 (talk) 00:11, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Please do not create unreferenced articles. You must have had the sources to create the article? I also managed to find some online easy enough. If you can't add sources, don't make the edit. GiantSnowman 20:12, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles characters. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 00:58, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Edit Warring

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of one week for disruptive editing, including edit warring in articles, files, probable copyright violations, and improper removals of tags from files. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Bbb23 (talk) 00:58, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
You are using this template in the wrong namespace. Use this template on your talk page instead.
  • In this specific instance you were blocked for edit-warring, however you have myriad notices regarding the misuse of images here on your talk page going back years; I'm actually quite shocked you haven't been blocked previously. Have you read all of the notifications above, or followed the links that explained why your edits were contrary to policies and guidelines? Please take the one week block period to do so. I would also strongly suggest you request a mentor to assist you with image uploads and use upon your return.--Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:29, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

do you all act like this in the real world? Jonesy702 (talk) 20:44, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
