Teri Laadli Main

Teri Laadli Main (transl. I am your affectionate) is an Indian television drama series that Aired From 5 January 2021 - 22 April 2021 on Star Bharat.[1] Produced by Panorama Entertainment, it stars Hemangi Kavi, Mayuri Kapadane and Gaurav Wadhwa. The series is remake of Star Maa's Telugu series Mouna Raagam.[2][3] The series went off air abruptly without conclusion on 22 April 2021 due to its very low TRP ratings and due to global COVID-19 pandemic situation.[4]

PlotEdit

This is about a girl named Bitti who has been continuously rejected by her father. Her father Surender makes her mother Urmila take poison while pregnant because he feels that he cannot afford to pay for another daughter. As a result, Bitti is being born mute. Bitti does all the household works and also goes house to house selling milk. Consequently, she meets a city boy called Akshat who will be following her daily and remembers her as the child who saved him from a car crash in his childhood. Bitti only longs for the affection of her cold and distant father and is oblivious to the love bestowed on her by Akshat.

Child actor Harshita Ojha was first approached to play young Bitti, but was replaced by Maithali Patwardhan who played the same role in Mulgi Zali Ho, the Marathi version of the series.[7] Hemangi Kavi was cast to play the role of Bitti's mother.[8]

ReleaseEdit

The first promo of the series was released on 14 December 2020, featuring Hemangi Kavi and Pankaj Singh.[9] The next promo was released on 23 December 2020, featuring Mayuri Kapadane, Hemangi Kavi and Pankaj Singh.[10]

AdaptationsEdit

Telugu channel Star Maa's series Mouna Raagam is adapted in various Indian languages. Suzana Ghai produces both the Hindi and Marathi version of the series under Panorama Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
