Erika Sunnegårdh

edit
  • ... that Swedish soprano Erika Sunnegårdh, who debuted at New York's Met at age 40 and whose voice, she says, was "like a wild horse", crowdfunded her debut solo album?

Interesting article on an unusual singer, good sources. The red link for the school: is it Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser [sv]? Lowercase looks strange in a school's name. The hook is almost too good for my taste, naming 3 things - I lost interest after 2. I found the line on her debut Turandot, interesting, but will not word an ALT, - then we would need another reviewer. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:30, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
The school has an article now, forget that question. But the other? @Andersneld: @Yngvadottir: @Drmies: --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:47, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Gerda. I like the hook (of course!); I wanted to get as many possible weird things in there. Debut at 40, wild horse voice, crowdfunding... If needs be I suppose one of those things could get cut, but you have to admit it adds up to a pretty extraordinary combination. Perhaps Yngvadottir has something to offer? Or that master of economy, Eric Corbett? (Careful Eric--it's DYK!) Drmies (talk) 16:38, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Believe me old DYK horse that 2 weird things would be enough to be attractive:
ALT1: ... that Swedish soprano Erika Sunnegårdh, who made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera at age 40, said that her voice was "like a wild horse"? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:26, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
Just a reminder that user pings do not work from within Template space (and explicit ping templates may not either, for all I know). BlueMoonset (talk) 15:21, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Independent reviewer needed for ALT1 and hook interest in general, plus specific check of length, newness, neutrality/BLP, close paraphrasing, etc. BlueMoonset (talk) 15:21, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, amply footnoted, no evidence of close paraphrasing, and no BLP issues or other policy issues found. Both the original hook and ALT1 check out OK, but I'm less comfortable with the original hook because the source for the crowd-funding is the kickstarter website, not an independent WP:RS. The facts in the hook are all interesting, but I think that the "wild horse" bit is the most interesting element (the age 40 part may not surprise people who don't know much about opera, and the "wild horse" comment is not related to the fact that she debuted at the Met at age 40). I suggest trimming the ALT1 hook down to focus attention on the "wild horse" (this looks like a good candidate for the "quirky" slot):
