sponsorship of Motherwell FC edit

They are still one of the main sposnsors of the club. They are not the main sponsor, but one of them. Tastyniall 17:49, 25 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fleet re-new edit

There are plans to renew their fleet of 4 Boeing 767s with Boeing 787-3 and Boeing 787-8 in a two class configiration. They are planning to have 25 airplanes by end of 2013. The fleet will consist of around 15 Boeing 787-8 and around 10 Boeing 787-3. I read this in an article and thought this information might be important. Also a UK based airline for services to USA and Asia is being planned.Dk16 16:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

They currently posess a Boeing 757 in their fleet of aircraft that is going to be flying this month. Feel free to add that or research it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.29.93.187 (talkcontribs) 12:12, 2 May 2007.

There are no current plans to renew our fleet of 4 767's and 1 757-200 with 787 models. The comment above " having 25 planes by the end of 2013 is pure fiction. There are no plans to go to Asia. Please post the original article to which you found all this speculation. Thanks! Zoom Scotland edit

This article is about the Canadian airline Zoom I would suggest the information on the proposed Scottish company is removed and moved to a separate article.MilborneOne 18:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is no reason for this, it is the same company.

Reply to unsigned - this is an article about the Canadian airline not a scottish company.MilborneOne 18:28, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, Zoom Airlines Inc is the parent company of the sister division Zoom Airlines Ltd. It would make no sense for there to be two different articles of the same company. Even on flyzoom.ca under company info it states the history of both companies. we dont have two different web pages for zoom airline inc and zoom airlines ltd, it would make noo sense. thanks! Xulu8 18:39, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I was not suggested that there should be different articles on the companies just different articles on the airlines, although the scottish company is not yet a licenced airline.MilborneOne 18:47, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay you are not making any sense, i do not understand. "Airline, company", same term is it not? Zoom airlines is zoom airlines, it is made up of 2 divisions, zoom airline inc and the fully licensed zoom airlines ltd. yes it licensed fully, for otherwise we would not be selling tickets to new york and bermuda on our website. btw feel free to browse our website www.flyzoom.com and read under company info. One article is enough to describe zoom airlines as a whole, for there is only 1 airline with two divisions. thats all.Xulu8 19:11, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps the key word in the reply is "our website"! Zoom Airlines may have two divisions but they each have to be separately licenced. One Canadian company holds an operating licence it only covers the Canadian operation. The scottish company has to be licensed as a UK airline, but there is no information on the UK Civil Aviation Website to show it is licenced yet [[1]]. Interestingly the flyzoom website terms and conditions has the following statement If your flight is with Zoom Airlines Ltd, your contract is with Zoom Travel Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zoom Airlines Ltd. Zoom Travel Ltd holds UK Air Travel Organisor's Licence No 79523, and your payments are protected by the Civil Aviation Authority ATOL scheme. this infers it is not an airline but a travel agent that is selling the tickets!. MilborneOne 19:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Most of the time, we have separate articles for separate airlines owned by the same company. Mesa Air Group is a good example, where in addition to an article on the parent company (which may not be necessary in this case), we have separate articles for Mesa Airlines, go!, Air Midwest, and Freedom Airlines. -- Hawaiian717 20:54, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Xulu8, perhaps i can help our rather confused friend understand what you are saying. I am cabin crew from London. Below is information about Zoom the company, I've listed the canadian info as well.

Carrier Information

Flights with prefix Z4 or OOM are operated by Zoom Airlines Inc, the Canadian-based airline regulated by Transport Canada. The airline operates Boeing 767-300 and 757-200 aircraft on the Canadian aircraft register flown by Canada-based aircrew members.

Flights with prefix UKZ are operated by Zoom Airlines Ltd, the UK-based airline regulated by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. It will hold its own, independent operating approvals and certificates and will operate Boeing 767-300 aircraft on the UK register flown by UK-based aircrew members.

Registered Offices

Zoom Airlines Inc is registered in Canada, and its Head Office is at Suite 200, 380 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, Ontario K1V 1C1, Canada.

Zoom Airlines Ltd is registered in Scotland (company number SC288234). Its Head Office is at 1st Floor, Iain Stewart Centre, Beehive Ring Road, Gatwick Airport, West Sussex RH6 0PB, UK. Its registered office is at 91 Mitchell Street, Glasgow G1 4LN, Scotland.

Zoom Ltd. begins their first flight June 8th!! under airline code: "UKZ"

Zoom Airlines Ltd's history is tied in with Zoom Airlines Inc. This webpage is about " Zoom Airlines" That is what the headline sates. Look at the bigger picture, this page is designated to talk about Zoom Airlines as a whole, thus it will talk about both subsidiary companies.

Zoom UK edit

A new article has been created for the UK operation and I have moved relevant info across.MilborneOne 10:33, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Premium economy? edit

I thought that Zoom Airlines' B757-200 also had premium economy because when you go to book a flight with a B757 it always shows up as having Premium economy. For example booking a YHZ-LGW is operated by a B757 and you can purchase premium economy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.86.124.195 (talk) 14:27, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Destinations served only by Zoom UK edit

Some of the destinations listed were only served by Zoom Airlines Limited (the UK sister airline) so they should only be listed on that article, not here. San Diego is one I know, but since I don't know which of the others were only served by the UK airline, I'd like someone who knows the airline better to make the fix. -- Hawaiian717 (talk) 20:19, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
