Federalist Zero State Solution is very different from this idea edit

I am fundamentally against this article on many levels since it is far from the Federalist definition of the Zero State Solution. We Federalists here in the Holy Land believe in the State of Israel evolving into the Federation which incorporates Palestinian national will to create a nation for all. Could we expand this article to include the Federalist perspective?

Strongly agree with this, I came to this article looking for the anarchist perspective i.e decentralised and autonomous regions replacing state control. If there is an Israeli state in the holy land how can it be a zero-state solution? Springclock (talk) 23:55, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

How is this different to the three-state solution? edit

This seems very similar to the three-state solution. How do they differ? If they're judged to be too similar, I suggest it might be a good idea to merge the 2 pages. I've also said a similar message on the three-state solution talk page. Ezza1995 (talk) 11:23, 10 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I would assume that they're basically synonyms, but somebody coined the "Zero-state" term because he thought that the wording "Three-state" might give some people the idea that an independent Gaza Strip and independent West Bank (separate from each other) were being proposed... This solution rejects the Arabs of the regional Palestine the Palestinian nationality. It says there is no such thing as a Palestinian since they have no difference than Arabs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jewnited (talkcontribs) 18:05, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

That is correct; their leaders have repeatedly said that there is no such thing as Palestinian (Arab) nationality, which is arguably a Western liberal construct. But this is not a discussion that is relevant to the article.
on the main topic, there is no apparent difference from the so-called three-state solution. Neither name is fully descriptive IMO, but it's what we have to work with. I suggest cross-referencing and will do that here, anyway Chrismorey (talk) 05:53, 22 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

It seems to me that everyone here agrees that it's the same as the three-state solution, so why not merge the articles? —Ynhockey (Talk) 00:07, 8 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I do not see any difference here. EditMaker Me (talk) 09:16, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Lack of sourcing edit

I've redirected this article, since I could find absolutely no WP:RSes whatsoever referencing it aside from clear WP:CITOGENESIS passing mentions that reference Wikipedia itself. If someone wants to restore it, it's going to have to be totally rewritten. In particular I do not believe that the Ariel Center for Policy Research actually proposed anything under that name - the sole source I could find combining the two terms (outside of Wikipedia itself) was an opinion piece in The Forward mentioning it in passing; as far as I can tell "zero-state solution" was a term invented for the proposal by that writer, which is clearly not enough to support an entire article under that title. (Even if the proposal were notable enough or had enough coverage to support an article independent of the Three-State Solution, which it clearly is not.) Also note that that article was written long after this page was created, making it likely WP:CITOGENESIS. One thing I did find is that while "Zero-State Solution" sees no meaningful use as a term for anything related to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict outside of Wikipedia (it is mostly used in physics to refer to zero-energy states), "No State Solution" has a tiny bit of use, though they're all proposals totally unrelated to (and from the starkly opposite political perspective to) the one the article previously covered. I don't think that it's enough to support an article but if we absolutely need something under this title then it ought to say something along the lines of "the Zero-State Solution or No-State Solution is a term for a variety of proposals" and list them. See eg. [1][2][3]. --Aquillion (talk) 03:38, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Good call. It was an illiterate, nonsense page based on think tank buzzword grandstanding. Iskandar323 (talk) 06:11, 6 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
