Untitled edit

By searching for 楊輝三角 or 賈憲三角 in Google, one can find many mentions that Yang Hui annotated about the triangle in his writings 《詳解九章算法》that 賈憲 in Northern Song Dynasty used this method in《黃帝九章算法細草》couple centuries before him. That is still not conclusive that 賈憲 invented the triangle, but at least that dates it back six centuries before Pascal. Name of triangle edit

Does it make sense to ask if the Chinese name of Pascal's triangle is "Yang Hui triangle" or "Yang Hui's triangle"? We have both in this article, and in Pascal's triangle the figure caption (same figure as here) says "Yang Hui (Pascal's) triangle", which looks quite awkward.--Niels Ø (noe) 15:27, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Missing Line in 1303 AD Text by Yanghui edit

Yang Hui triangle (Pascal's triangle) using rod numerals, as depicted in a publication of Zhu Shijie in 1303 AD.

The row before the last goes "1 6 21 34 35 21 6 1" when it should in fact go "1 6 21 35 35 21 6 1". Any one else caught this? Bsodmike (talk) 19:32, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

A friend just pointed out that this has been stated in the photo's description.
