Name change: From "Rowdy" to "Y.B. Rowdy" edit

The move deserves discussion and reconsideration. The subject of this article was known by a name that was translated into English as "Rowdy." The initials "Y.B." appear to have been assigned later as a pun ("Why be rowdy?") and we need to establish whether this was a name the subject actually used or chose to be known by. According to the Find-A-Grave link, his military tombstone is engraved "Y B ROWDY" but his medal citation and all other (scanty) online references refer to him as "Rowdy" or "Sergeant Rowdy." --ob C. alias ALAROB 13:35, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Newspaper articles edit

I have removed lengthy excerpts from 19th century newspapers. We already cover Rowdy's cause of death in the article based on a more recent and more scholarly source. Steve Ayers' book provides all the necessary details; there's no need to reproduce multiple newspapera articles covering this single event. Huon (talk) 22:57, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
