Here is a quote from The Queer German Cinema by Alice A. Kuzniar (Stanford University Press, 2000), ISBN9780804739955, p.188:

Yes, add it. There was plenty of evidence to link him with gay films but I couldn't fidn anything in English stating he was gay. Occuli (talk) 19:26, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
