The result of the move request was: moved. Wheat gluten (food) moved to Seitan and redirect Wheat gluten to Gluten. (closed by non-admin page mover) Vpab15 (talk) 13:55, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
– No need to disambiguate for natural disambiguation. This disambig page only has two entries, one for wheat gluten, and one just for gluten, which also appears in Wheat. Not sure we need a disambiguation at all, but at the very least, the article specifically on wheat gluten is primary. - I would have thought the article should be titled Seitan. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 03:20, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Alternative. I agree there is no need for a disambiguation page, but I think the primary topic for "wheat gluten" is Gluten. I suggest Wheat gluten is blanked and redirected to Gluten with a hatnote to Wheat gluten (food), and delete Wheat gluten (disambiguation) G14. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 09:22, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- "Wheat gluten (food)" is a confusing title – both of these are foods. I would suggest we move Wheat gluten (food) to Seitan (an equally if not more recognizable name in my experience) and redirect Wheat gluten to Gluten, with a hatnote. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 10:28, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I'd support a move of Wheat gluten (food) to Seitan too. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:49, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
- Support User talk:Mx. Granger's proposal (first choice) and User:Shhhnotsoloud's (second choice). Either way, delete the dab page per WP:TWODABS. This is a difficult one to provide quantitative internet evidence on, but a perusal of various search combinations shows that the primary usage of wheat gluten vis-à-vis food is for gluten of wheat in the context of gluten-free food, i.e. not the food product (seitan). For the food product, "seitan" seems more common, with "vital wheat gluten" showing up second. ("Vital wheat gluten, in turn, shows up more for the food than simply "wheat gluten".) — AjaxSmack 19:05, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
