Talk:Viguen

Two remarks edit

Firstly, the quality of the biography is unquestionably inferior. Vigen deserves better. Where are all his fans? Secondly, Vigen cannot have died in Hamedan, Iran (as the present biography states), and buried in California, USA. Or can it? In so far as I am aware, Vigen left Iran just before or just after the revolution of 1979 and lived in the USA thereafter. --BF 17:54, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removal of the templates edit

I saw the Refimprove|date=February 2010 & Cleanup|date=July 2010 templates on the article and I attempted to add citations and try to clean everything up. I will be deleting these templates from the article page. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to communicate with me here within the next 30 days. Thank you. Origins edit

Hi Samak, I noticed you removed the origin:"Iranian" (it should read Iran) in the info box for Viguen and replaced it with "Iranian Armenian". My issue with this is that Iranian-Armenian is not a place of origin, it is an ethnic group. I will be reverting this edit because of it is incorrect, but I will happily add the ethnicity category and replace it with "Iranian Armenian". Let me know if you have an issue please. Thanks Jooojay (talk) 04:41, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I forgot that the ethnicity box doesn't show for the Infobox:musical artist, so I corrected the origins to read origins:"Azerbaijan (Iran)". Jooojay (talk) 04:50, 17 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi Az1zcolumbi - there are citations in the body of the article stating where he lived. If you want to add content please add a citation as well. If you are new to editing Wikipedia, let me know and I can try to direct you better. For now I removed "origins" since nobody seems to agree and edit wars are not ok. son of Viguen is, singer Armin or Armin Brakefield edit

Hi User:110.149.153.208 you have added new information about Viguen having a son named Armin, but did not provide any citation. It was removed today. Please feel free to add back the data when you have a reliable source for citation. Jooojay (talk) 08:58, 16 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Iranian-Azeri (Iranian Azerbaijanis) vs Armenian edit

Originally this article had Viguen listed as Iranian Azerbaijanis but was changed to Armenian? Can someone explain? Jooojay (talk) 04:14, 28 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Place of birth edit

Current citation reads "Born into a relatively poor family in the western Iranian city of Hamadan..." Someone from bouncing IPs keeps changing the info to read "malayer" (which should be capitalized since it is a proper name) but not adding or changing the citation. Please add an actual citation if you insist it is incorrect. Thank you. Jooojay (talk) 22:14, 5 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
