editOne disputed fact: Avramenko currently lives in New York. I only assume this because he owns a dance studio there. Mrrria 05:24, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- http://www.oseredok.org/ucec/sites/main.asp?P=1E88BFOSDF7 tells that he died in 1981. If he is alive, he should be 111 years old now. It is to much. Probably some relative inherited his studio abakharev 05:45, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh dear! Well thanks for clearing that up. I searched for a death date but with no luck, so I had just assumed. Mrrria 05:48, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
I'll add more, but it's very late and my computer already crashed once tonight.--tufkaa 07:03, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Name
editOnly the Ukrainian Wiki lists him as Kyrylovych (sp?). Does anyone have anything else that lists him as such? None of my biographical materials verify this name.--tufkaa 20:25, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Citizenship
editAvramenko is listed under Category:Ukrainian-Americans and Category:Ukrainian Canadians. He travelled and worked in Canada and the States, but did he actually have Canadian and American citizenship? Should he be kept under these categories? Editor at Large 00:58, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Don't know about actual citizenship, but it must have been granted to him at some point, as he travelled the world and kept returning to both Canada and the States. He was a "man without a country" when he entered Canada, and still had no citizenship papers when he cam to the U.S. Enormous ties to both countries, and he resided in both. He lived most of the second have of his life in the US, but upon his death, he left his personal papers "to the people of Canada" (big copyright headache...). Hope that helps!--tufkaa 03:33, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
