WikiProject Dance To-do list:

Coordinators' working groupEdit

Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators. All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 05:14, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

New article on BoogalooEdit

Hi fellow dance editors, I just wanted to highlight a new article on the street dance Boogaloo (which help developed into modern day Popping) that I helped curate info on. Please let me know any suggestions i.e. the best way to integrate it in the larger WikiDance project, or how to improve its quality scale, I very much appreciate it! Thanks. Request for information on WP1.0 web toolEdit

Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.

We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Bugaku (ballet)Edit

Hi there,

This article appears to be in Spanish. I'm not knowledgeable in this area so I feel it would be better if someone from round here could have a look at it. SFletcher06 (talk) 11:13, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

@SFletcher06: A lot of Spanish content was added by one editor in March 2019 in several edits. They left the original English version below their additions. I've now removed the Spanish text. There doesn't seem to be an article about this ballet in Spanish Wikipedia. PamD 11:27, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
I've made a note on the talk page, and left a link there to the last version with the Spanish content as it has sources which might be useful for anyone wanting to expand the article. The editor concerned made no edits before or after their work on this article. PamD 11:33, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
@PamD: Thanks. SFletcher06 (talk) 11:34, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

Western Asian danceEdit

Please can someone with knowledge of western Asian dance look at recent edits to Kochari, Halay, Akdağmadeni halay, Turkish dance and Horon (dance)? There appears to be a difference of opinion over which ethnic groups to mention. Thanks, Certes (talk) 11:11, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

The most prominent film right now about dance and it's controversial. Can I get more people to add the film to their watchlist? Just having more people give input on the articles helps a lot.

Love Lies Bleeding (Ballet) - Performance/Tour DatesEdit

Hi everyone!

I'm a relatively new user and I just created the bulk of the article for Love Lies Bleeding, the ballet performed by the Alberta Ballet Company that features songs performed by Elton John. I included a section with their various performances, but it was hard to pinpoint all of the possible performances for the show. Would someone be able to take a look at that section and help me find some more tour dates? Thank you so much! - TM21NU (talk) 19:55, 27 October 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Richmond RobottinEdit

The article Richmond Robottin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced and no evidence of notability for almost a decade

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Modern western square danceEdit

Hello dancers,

I don't suppose there is anyone still paying attention to this group. I've been going through the articles needing rewrite backlog, and I'm trying to finish the history section of Modern western square dance that someone outlined but never finished many years ago. I would appreciate if anyone could help, maybe point me to good sources.

Thanks, Oiyarbepsy (talk) 06:50, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
