What's Up?: Balloon to the Rescue... edit

...is mentioned in the "Other films" section. I see no mention of it on the Video Brinquedo website. Should it be removed? 74.33.174.133 (talk) 19:12, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's posted in its entirety on youtube. --24.8.177.182 (talk) 01:19, 19 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Toy Tales? edit

I have not heard about "Toy Tales" yet. --Joshua H-Star-R 16:43, 16 April 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshua H-Star-R (talkcontribs)

Links edit

Since hardly any pages link to the Vídeo Brinquedo page, I added two links on the Gaiam and Mockbuster pages separately. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.101.2.241 (talk) 01:08, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

i09.com did an article on it: "The bootleg Brazilian animation of Video Brinquedo." Not sure if it counts as an RS WhisperToMe (talk) 16:27, 20 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

The end of Vídeo Brinquedo edit

I removed this entire section as uncited and implausible. That one company sued for copyright infringement is plausible; that everyone did is not. They would be forced to pay a specific sum, not "all of its business money". That they were sued and forced into bankruptcy is possible, but we need a cite that should name a specific lawsuit that would give us a specific company and a specific infringing product.--Prosfilaes (talk) 00:49, 20 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Disorganized edit

The page is incredibly disorganized. The films they made are, for some reason, subsections of the "Characters" section (which is only talking about The Little Cars. The Production section is short and only has information on The Little Cars -- and this information doesn't even seem to be related to its production! The History section contains information that should be moved up to the previous section. Could this possibly be due to vandalism? 174.23.86.76 (talk) 14:11, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=V%C3%ADdeo_Brinquedo&diff=790510142&oldid=789832903 dumped an entire article into this one, rather carelessly.--Prosfilaes (talk) 22:50, 19 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Inspiration vs plagiarism edit

There's a line between inspiration and ripping off. Inspiration is being mentally stimulated to make a creative idea, which often derives a few elements from existing works, but they at least credit the original creator. Rip offs are the result of balantly stealing an idea, and passing it off as your own. Booger-mike (talk) 01:47, 22 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Bad Video Game Dude Misattribution edit

The attribution for "The Bad Video Game Dude" seems to be incorrect - I can't find any evidence that the film exists beyond an image that was obviously made as a joke by a different artist, as referenced in this old Reddit thread. Should probably be removed from the article before someone starts a 'lost media hunt' over satire art. 18.10.156.84 (talk) 23:22, 25 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Nope, not real, someone wanting to make yet another bad 'Irate Gamer' joke that we were all done with in 2014. Thanks for the cut. Nate (chatter) 00:06, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Video Brinquedo DID NOT MAKE Spider's Web: A Pig's Tale edit

Sparkplug Productions made that ripoff. Will you change the section?

Little Bee hyperlink links to wrong page edit

Under the section for the list of the films, there is a hyperlink for Little Bee, but it links to a novel. How should we fix this? I know nothing about these movies, I just noticed this, so I'm not really qualified to make a new article about it as a solution Tranman64 (talk) 23:25, 9 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Incorrectly credited Spark Plug films on the page edit

Re the section on Spider's Web: actually, there are quite a lot more Spark Plug works credited to Brinquedo on this page. All five Car's Life movies, Plan Bee, and An Ant's Life all belong to Spark Plug. I know most of these have the same writer/director/animator(?) according to their credits, and I hear shared voice actors in them, different from actual Brinquedo work (which also tends to involve some of the same actors in the English dubs, notably folks who worked for 4Kids or still do).

It's particularly odd to see Car's Life discussed in the intro section knowing this, presumably whoever wrote that part intended to discuss The Little Cars in the Big Race (which is somehow mentioned nowhere here)? Frustratingly, I don't have anything I can link as a source, otherwise I'd edit the page myself to fix some of this EliseMANGOM1LK (talk) 20:49, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

2012 and more false information edit

This article is riddled with false information, first off there are no records of the VBF Produções name ever being being used in the 80s or 90s, and after doing some research I found out Spot Films was founded in 1995 and was based in Encino, though it seems they had a Brazilian subsidiary, maybe that's where Vídeo Brinquedo originally came from.

Also, what is this junk about them going bakrupt? There's absolutely no source backing up that claim, as they kept distributing DVDs until 2014 and had a blogspot page that was active until 2017. I just want to know WHERE does it say that they filed for bankruptcy in 2012, I've found zero evidence of that.

Not only that, the youtube channel you can find on the blogspot page and other official sources is still active to this day. The most recent video was 7 days ago and there is a premiere set for tomorrow (2/15/23). Beach ball (OSC) (talk) 04:28, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

A little too bias... edit

Yes, this is a very bad studio and we all know that, but wikipedia is supposed to be neutral and informative. Quotes from this article like "leaving a parent to rent it to avoid disappointment from their children" is very bias and unprofessional. Beach ball (OSC) (talk) 04:25, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Beach ball (OSC) I removed these statements because they were unsourced anyways. Carpimaps (talk) 05:35, 15 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
It seems The Little Cars is subject to either some drama delivered hot and fresh from the nearest sewer, or a really convoluted joke, because it seems some IP editors keep trying to change its name, defend it and pretend it doesn't exist at the same time. Would something like this warrant semi-protection? cogsan (talk) 11:12, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
The IP should be blocked instead since they are the only one that are causing disruption. Carpimaps (talk) 13:10, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I thought it was three or so IPs, who may or may not have been the same guy anyway. One of them seems to be related to some Cruelty Squad-esque communication company in the UK or something. cogsan (talk) 13:48, 2 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
