Does anybody know why Frontrunner and bus connections are included in this article? it would be more appropriate to delete them and write an article for the Ogden Transit Center. D&RGW 223 (talk) 17:02, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

My personal opinion is that one article is the best solution for now. I agree that once we have a fair amount of content about both topics (the historical depot and the modern replacement) that splitting makes sense. However, I loath and despise wikipedia articles that are only 2 sentences long, which is exactly what would happen if the article was split in its current state. No need to worry about that now... There's more information on the station lobby than the whole transit center in the article.D&RGW 223 (talk) 16:53, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

There were two separate references from Don Strack, from two separate pages, that probably should not have been combined. One dealt with the OUR&D, and the other with the depot itself.D&RGW 223 (talk) 16:53, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oops. I think I've fixed it now. Ntsimp (talk) 17:38, 2 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

UTA? edit

Now that the history of the Union Station (and surrounding buildings) has been greatly updated and expanded, I suggest that the UTA Frontrunner and Bus information be either deleted or moved to a separate article. The Ogden Union Station is in no way connected to, funded or served by UTA or Frontrunner, and is a separate non-profit organization. Frontrunner has its own station to the south of the Union Station, and the Union Station is completely fenced off from the UTA tracks and facilities. When asked last time, I objected that if the article was split into two (one for the UTA station, one for the historical depot) that both articles would be very short (stubs in wikipedia speak). I agree that now there is more than enough information for the article on the historical depot to survive as an independent article. The article for the UTA depot would be very short, however it would at least have route and ridership information, which is probably enough to ensure the article would survive and not be nominated for deletion. As such, I have no objections to moving the UTA content to Ogden (UTA station)(which is the naming convention for most similar articles), but my preference would be to find more info about the UTA depot before splitting the article. Union Station Sale and Development edit

Hi all. I’ve added the recent news that Ogden is looking to purchase Union Station and the surrounding land along with the plans for developing the station campus in coming years. I intend to help keep this page updated with the current and developing news as it happens. Please help me keep an eye on things and add notes as the situation plays out. Thanks for keeping this page alive! 73.63.123.98 (talk) 09:45, 22 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
